  Great people!

  From the moment I toured this venue I knew it was the right fit. They are such nice folks, and are so helpful... I asked for so many things day of and they suggested some too without prompts! That and the custom menu they prepared was DELICIOUS! Oh and if you want, the train is available! We didn't have to decorate too much because the architecture itself is beautiful.

  My husband and I had a wonderful experience booking our wedding reception here. Katie was our contact person and was so helpful and easy to work with! The venue is absolutely beautiful and the perfect set up for a reception. We used the Spencer ballroom, which was everything that we needed. Our guests repeatedly complimented how gorgeous the railway station was, especially so close to Christmas time. We could not be happier to have booked this venue and would do it again in a heart beat. You cannot find another venue with so much history and beauty in the heart of downtown Knoxville.

  This venue is absolutely gorgeous! We wanted a venue that was downtown and that had it's own beauty and character, so we didn't have to come in and completely decorate everything. We needed minimal decor because the historical details of the building are so beautiful. We had 200 guests and rented the entire building to use for both the ceremony and reception, and sat the guests at reception tables outside on the railway platform next to the train cars.
  Southern Railway Station is the perfect blend of historic and functionality. The historic building has been renovated to easily host a wedding of 200. There is a large catering kitchen on the bottom floor and a smaller kitchen on the top floor. There are also several restrooms on both the first and second floor - you would be surprised at how many venues have only one or two restrooms to accommodate 200 guests. The building also has large bridal suites that the wedding parties can use to get ready, or as a place to gather before the ceremony.
  The staff there was always friendly and helpful when we had questions or requests. I would definitely recommend Southern Railway Station to anyone who is getting married!

  We were very pleased with the venue. It was the right size for our number of quests. We rented the Spencer Ballroom and had the outside train landing as well. Conductor Bob guided tours of the railcars for a donation to the Historic Railway and that was a nice touch for our guest. The staff was mostly accommodating but was a little hard to reach at times. Overall it was a good experience.

  Beautiful venue, hard to contact.

  We absolutley loved this venue! It was the most beautiful wedding. That being said we had the hardest time getting in touch with the owner for any questions we had. Whenever we had any questions we had to drive to the venue and ask Brice the bartender/do it all man! He was great!
