We absolutely loved having our wedding reception at the Genesee Grande. The venue is beautiful (both the ballroom and photo locations), the food was absolutely delicious and plentiful, and the event was well staffed. The value you receive for the price is excellent. Best of all, the pricing is all-inclusive, straightforward, and transparent. There were no hidden fees that are often found at other venues (cake cutting/serving, dishware, food tasting, hors d'oevers, set up, etc.) The highlight of having our wedding at the Genesee Grande was getting to work with Jamie (the coordinator). Throughout every step of the way, he went above and beyond our expectations. He was so incredibly responsive, knowledgeable, and full of life! He and his staff took care of all of the setup and decor and couldn't have done a better job. We highly recommend the Genesee Grande!

I don't think my husband, guests, and I could say enough about our wedding and reception at the Genesee Grande Hotel. First, everything was seamless, the day of our wedding flew by without a hitch. Secondarily, the food and drink were incredible. We had our December 30th ceremony in the ballroom which was flipped over to hold all of the tables and food for the reception all during the cocktail hour. It was so beautiful. Working with Jamie throughout the planning process was easy. He's very enthusiastic, accommodating, and thorough, we were assured that everything we wanted would happen as we desired. Sheila handled most day-of things and she's a doll. Their experience was a huge help in catching things we hadn't thought of. The staff is genuine and super responsive. I will absolutely recommend this venue to anyone looking to get married in central NY.

my daughter's weeding was there on 10/14/17. Jamie Nicolaos and his staff were wonderful from the moment we walked in the door one year prior to the wedding. Jamie kept us on track and was always helpful with suggestion. The ball room was beautiful, the food was delicious, the staff attentive and courteous. I would recommend anyone looking for a venue to check out the Genesee Grande first!

I cannot say enough about the Genesee Grande! Jamie was absolutely amazing and was in constant contact with us. He answered every question we had and made us feel relaxed about our big day. I had heard through reviews that the food was amazing and they were right! My guests still cannot stop commenting on how delicious everything was. I highly recommend the Genesee Grande because it is a beautiful venue, they have delicious food, and your guests can stay the night right at the venue without having to drive. They made our wedding the most perfect day. You won't regret choosing the Genesee Grande for your venue!

Jamie from The Genesee Grande was the best planner I could have asked for. One of the major selling points of us getting married there was Jamie. He helped us make sure we knew every step of the way what we were planning and gave us tips on how to make it better. In the long run I am glad I took his tips on how my wedding would go smoother for the sake of my guests. Even on the day of the wedding I was able to make changes to what I wanted to do, like cut cocktail hour short. It was the best day of my life and thanks to the Genesee Grande I will never forget the people that helped me or the beautiful venue they put together.

The Genesee Grande is such a beautiful hotel. It is one of the reasons I was interested in it as my reception venue. I am so glad I went with them, because everything was perfect the day of the reception. We chose to do a buffet, and the food was amazing. We ended up with about 144 guests in the ballroom and it did not feel too crowded. The room looked amazing. As far as I know, the bar was easily accessible. As the bride, I feel like everything was wonderful. The staff was professional and helpful. Jamie was instrumental and getting all the planning done with us and Theresa was there during the event to oversee everything. I would not change a thing!

Loved the staff at the Genesee Grande hotel- especially Jamie. If there was ever any question I had at all, he always answered it promptly. As well, the flexibility was amazing and they did an amazing job with the venue and decorating.

I love this venue. Jamie (the coordinator) is absolutely amazing. He replies to his emails right on time and always is there to help us if we have any questions. very personable.

We had our rehearsal dinner in the bistro area and it was beautiful. they block it off from the bar area, so you have that beautiful space all to yourselves. The food was spectacular. I had a request that wasn't on the menu (mini beef wellington) and they were happy to make that and they came out wonderfully. The dinner they served was also really awesome. Jamie is the event manager and he's so nice and helpful that everything went very smoothly. All of the staff that was assigned to our party was great too. We got luck and it was a beautiful night so we could walk right out and enjoy the patio area too. I would definitely recommend doing an event here!

The Genesee Grande is a fantastic place to have a reception! Everything was absolutely perfect! The staff was very professional and pleasant to work with. Jamie is wonderful to work with and is very detailed! The food was amazing, as well! You won't be disappointed!

Literally my wedding could not have been more PERFECT!! Jamie and everyone working at the Genesee Grande are beyond experts at what they do. They blew my every expectation out of the park and I am soooo beyond blessed to have had my wedding reception at such a wonderful place with such amazing people! Thank you so much everyone!!!

My daughters rehearsal dinner and wedding reception was held the weekend of August 9th and 10th. The Genesee Grande's event staff were exceptional and the wedding reception was flawless. The food was fantastic and we had a great time. We never had to worry about a thing and the staff was amazing. In my opinion Sarah and Jamie are a great team and the best at what they do.

Wedding guests stayed here. Have heard wonderful things about rooms, service, restaurant and bar. It was the perfect hotel for our wedding weekend!

The Genesee Grande was gorgeous! The food was delicious and the staff went out of their way to make sure that the day was perfect. The people that stayed there loved every second of it as well. Janelle (the wedding coordinator) made planning a wedding easy and fun. The day was perfect.

We chose this venue for our daughter's wedding.The venue itself is beautiful and the table service looked very romantic and classy. The cocktail hour was served both inside and on the outside porch area which was lovely on this beautiful fall day. Food is outstanding and the service efficient and friendly.

We reserved a large block of rooms for our wedding and the Genesee Grande. The rooms were excellent and the service was too. Everything went off without a hitch even though the hotel was exceptionally busy (and was hosting at least one other wedding that weekend). I would definitely recommend this hotel.

We had a fantastic experience working with the Genesee Grande Hotel! Jamie and Sheila were both extremely accommodating and well-organized, and provided excellent support to a bride and groom planning a wedding from out-of-town. In general, they were responsive via email; although one or two email chains did get lost, they always responded to follow-up emails and questions. The venue setting was beautiful, and accommodated our guests comfortably. The food was excellent as well...most weddings I've attended have over-cooked catering, but this was not the case here! I would definitely recommend the Genesee Grande to any bride looking for a more formal, traditional wedding setting.

We are so thrilled we choose the Genesee Grande as our reception venue. The staff was wonderful to work with and took care of all of our needs the day of the wedding. We worked with Jamie directly leading up to our event, and he was always available for any questions that we had. He is extremely organized and talented at what he does. The food was top notch, and many of our guests told us that the filet mignon was the best that they ever had. It is both a beautiful venue (they are few and far between in Syracuse) and they deliver what they promise. Our wedding reception went off without a hitch, and we have the Genesee Grande to thank for that!

Jaime at the Genesee Grande Hotel is the man you want to see! The place is beautiful, his service is over the top and I couldn't be happier. We had a problem early on and Jaime fixed it without having to bother us. The place was clean, ready to go and the staff was on point! Thank you Jaime for making our wedding AWESOME!

I absolutely loved my reception venue!!! One of my biggest things was having a separate space for the cocktail hour and the Genesee Grande had a gorgeous one!! The food was great and the room looked beautiful! It was important for me to have a venue my guests could stay at and I didn't just want any other hotel! Loved, loved , loved having my wedding here!

Make sure that Susan Volinsky is your banquet manager because she was awesome! She made sure we had everything we needed and that our guests were happy. The service and the food was excellent!
Things to be aware of... dealing with the room block situation was not always pleasant; the shuttle service from the airport to the hotel did not do what they said they would and left some of our guests at the airport waiting for 45 minutes to be picked up and brought to the hotel.
