Overall: our wedding was fantastic and it was everything we hoped for and more. Unfortunately, the day of the wedding some of the individuals at Sundestin did not necessarily contribute to that and actually added unnecessary stress.
I would highly recommend staying up to three nights at SunDestin for a nice relaxing vacation. For weddings, I would may not recommend since there are so many options in Destin and since I don't believe their staff and systems can handle in an ideal manner.
Pros:
1. Prior to booking, we had a ton of questions and Kristen Cagadas did a great job answering all of them in a timely manner.
2. Location was fantastic! Even the coastline views were amazing, sometimes better than the gulf view room
3. Amenities are great
4. We appreciated that Denise Ingram allowed us to setup the reception the night before due to no events being scheduled
Cons
1. Key cards frequently didn't work across multiple rooms of people in our group. This caused frustration for some of our guests
2. We were compensated a free night since we had so many guests, however, the way it was handled caused us to check in again. This was a huge inconvenience since this happened the day of our wedding. I had a handful of things when I realized my key no longer worked and had to go back downstairs to the lobby. After that, I had to have someone track down the groom to give the new key and parking pass. This was less than ideal on an already very busy day
3. A few hours before our wedding, Denise Ingram told the mother of the bride and the groom that our wedding on the beach had been cancelled. The MOTB said that we did not cancel and then Denise said she needed us to pay the fee before they continue to setup chairs on the beach. While the bride was getting her hair and make-up done she had to search for the proof that payment had been made. Not an ideal scenario to occur just moments before getting married.

We sincerely regret any inconvenience caused by the key cards and the ceremony booking confusion. We are looking into a solution for our programming that will allow us to merge complimentary night stays with standard reservations. We have also held a meeting with staff to identify the issues and they have since been addressed. We hope that the early access to the event space and the complimentary dance floor helped alleviate some of the inconvenience. User2795705 Sent on 10/02/2016They were able to accommodate my husband and our family for our wedding and stay. The beach was the perfect setting for our special day. We enjoyed our stay ao much. We decided to stay an extra day and they were so great to fit us in and allow us to stay one more night. We will definitely be back
