    Not only did we have a perfect day, but Melissa captured it beautifully!! She was professional, a lot of fun to work with, patient and creative - what more could you want in a photographer? Our slideshow and proofs were ready before the promised timeline and we were absolutely thrilled with the pictures. Now we only have one problem - making the decision about which prints to order!! Melissa, thank you so much for being a part of our day :)

    Very Professional and highest quality of service. The only issue I had was the wait time for photos to be ready. All and all great experience with the vendor.

    I appreciate your review! I am glad we were able to resolve the miscommunication this morning, and that I was able to shed a little insight into the professional photography process for you!

    As you mentioned during our phone call today, you don't have much experience with professional photographers, and you expected to receive an email in a day or two of the event saying the photos were online. I clarified for you that I told people at the event that it would take about 2 weeks for the photos to be placed online for ordering, that I did indeed have them online within 2 weeks, and that that is standard editing time for most photographers.

    I asked you the reason behind the "responsiveness" rating of 3.5 and we discussed that as well. You placed your order yesterday, then called a couple of times and tried to come by the studio to pick them up...the same day. I explained that I was not in the studio yesterday - my door has a sign stating that we are by appointment only - and that it takes a week or two for prints to come in from my professional lab once your order is placed. This is due to my editing time (I retouch all images ordered) and the lab's processing time.

    Our experience with Melissa was just okay. Our wedding was in September, but I'm just now writing this review because it has taken us a few months to get everything settled (we still did not get the 11x14 print included in our package even though I emailed her about it just after Christmas- I've given up at this point). The good thing about our experience is that the pictures did turn out great. She really is a good wedding photographer, and my husband and I are generally happy with the finished product, which is the most important part. However, there are two main problems that we’ve had. The first is general disorganization. When we first booked Melissa we paid for 6 hours, which is one hour more than her usual time, but as we got closer to the wedding she did not have a record that we had paid for this extra hour. We eventually got it sorted out, but she tried to blame it on an intern (even though my husband gave the payment to Melissa herself over the phone), which I think was unprofessional. We did a call with her a couple weeks before the wedding to discuss what types of pictures we wanted, what family members we wanted included, etc. The day of the wedding she seemed to have forgotten all of this or did not write it down. She was clearly frustrated and tried to say that we had never discussed it. Finally, we were supposed to get our proofs within two weeks. After four weeks and no word I finally emailed her, and she said that she sent the link and password info to my husband. It turns out that she had sent the email to an address very similar to my husband’s, but not quite right (so I guess a stranger also got to look at our wedding album?). The second problem was her general attitude on the wedding day. The whole time she seemed annoyed with us for some reason. She wore 4-inch heels and then complained about her feet hurting several times throughout the evening. I think we would have gotten even better pictures if we had felt more comfortable with her.
