Michelle Married on 08/06/2011Lillian was just a dream to work with. She not only made my girls and I feel like family, she really took the time to listen and deliver on what not only I wanted (Bride) but also delivered for my now Husband (groom - wedding day makeup, e/shoot makeup) and bridesmaids and the Mom's makeup and Hair. By the end of our first consultation session, I felt as if Lillian was a close girlfriend whom I had known for years and I could be completely open and honest with - with no judgement. Our trial session went great and when I would send her thoughts/pictures of tweaks here and there - she responded asap and told me of her GENUINE honest thoughts of if the "look" would work with my Asian (korean) features. The airbrush techniques were not only flawless - it lasted through the entire 14+ hour day. Lillian and her team were ON-time (early ++ BONUS POINTS!) and got all my girls, mom, Mother-in-law, and groom ready for the big day. Lillian also was able to get the PRECISE and very very specific EYELINER part down so well!!! (Us asian girls - have a thing with specific eyeliner and she was able to figure out the shape I liked in 5 minutes, it was amaze!!) Lillian stayed with me for the entire day (~8 hours) as I needed to have her by my side from pre-ceremony pics (the big job!) to RIGHT-before-ceremony Touchups (much needed due to the Hotness & Humidness of Chicago!!), to the makeup-SWITCH for our Traditional Cultural Ceremony (PLUS HAIR), to the SULTRY-Sexy "Night-time" look for the Reception (hair & Makeup). Needless to say, I was one happy bride and my entire wedding party LOOOVED her. One of my bridesmaids was my older cousin and when HER day came @ the Waldorf-Astoria (oooh lala!!), she knew exactly who to call - .. Ms. Lillian, of course! Then, from her wedding party, one of HER girls loved Lillian so much - snowball effect. I will always call on Lilian for any makeup/hair need in the future! Lillian, you were and are AMAZEBALLS!~! thank you again. -
User1256854 2+ years agoI was very excited after my trial. Lillian is VERY nice and very accommodating and made me feel comfortable. BUT then the wedding day came. She is not very comfortable with many people in the room. BUT let's be honest, it's your big day, all your best friends are in one room...and having fun. I told her the day I had my trial that I am very picky about staying on schedule. All her assistants arrived on time. Once the day moved forward the only person who did not stay on schedule was Lillian. She did not follow my schedule. Also, her assistant for makeup was less than stellar. She did not do what was asked and all girls who had their makeup done had to be touched up by the other assistant. It created a REALLY awkward situation. Lillian also had an assistant doing hair. SHE WAS GREAT, and quick and stuck to the schedule. Lillian was really the only one who stressed me out. She did not do what I asked of my hair and she was not understanding what I was talking about. I had pictures and all. I broke down in tears and she blamed my bridesmaids. On top of everything she is WAY over priced. She did not take into account the most special people of the day...MY mom included. On top of that she did not set my hair or my mother's hair. SO I really don't understand why my hair costed more. She spent the same amount of time on my hair and makeup as all the other ladies. PLUS she has hidden fees and NO, I mean NOOOO perks. She didn't give any free gifts or anything that showed gratitude. She also appreciates tips PRIOR to the day..now I see why! She will squeeze every last penny out of everything. If I was impressed by her, I would say it was worth it. But I was not impressed and she made for an awkward situation. My suggestions brides...go to a salon, rent out a section and have your fun there. Bottom line she is over priced and not worth the money. Sorry, she is a nice lady, but it's a business and it's sad that I look back on my wedding and that
