Loved my elopement
I highly recommend working with Lisa! My husband and I eloped at Something Blue Wedding venue and I am so glad we did. It was absolutely breathtaking in the fall at sunset. Lisa was focused and detailed during the planning phase (I reached out 2 weeks prior). She and her husband took care of everything the day off the wedding and the duo performed the most beautiful ceremony, and had everything packed up and ready for us to go when it was time to leave. Love love loved getting married here! -

We got married at Something Blue on 10/27/2022 and Lisa went above and beyond anything we could ever ask for! The backdrop of the mountains were stunning and Lisa made sure to add special little personal touches all over the venue. Lisa was always quick to answer any question filled emails I sent over to her and provided detailed and thoughtful responses. I would recommend Something Blue to anyone! Lisa truly did make our special day even more special. -

We were looking for a place in the mountains to have a small ceremony, toast, and dinner with 11 guests, but couldn't find anything that was both private (didn't want random hikers walking through our ceremony) and affordable. Stumbling across Something Blue was a true blessing. Lisa was very responsive, and the price is unbeatable for the amazing view you get there- it literally looks like you hiked a mountain to get married. We did the DIY sunset package and brought food, drinks, flowers, and a photographer and Lisa was really happy to provide a small cake of any flavor (and cake topper!). I also brought my own furniture because there was a certain vintage look that I wanted, but there is plenty of furniture already there so no need to bring your own. She also found me a HAMU artist for an incredible rate! Lisa and her husband helped with setup and cleanup too. If you are looking for a beautiful, private space to have a ceremony, toasts, and maybe dinner SBMV is for you! My only note- if you are wanting a more traditional reception, I would consider SBMV for your ceremony and then go somewhere else for dinner and dancing. They do seem to have a pretty strict end/leave time of sunset, as there is no outdoor lighting or way to accommodate guests once the sun has set. We had an amazing time planning and enjoying our wedding. The location was absolutely breathtaking (and perfect). Lisa was fantastic to work with. Zero stress in planning our nuptials!!Something Blue Mountain Venue's reply:

Something Blue Mountain venue was the perfect picturesque romantic setting for our family elopement. With a panoramic 360 degree mountain viewWe got the elopement package since it was just my fiancé, our adult son, and our dog. The package made getting married out of state a breeze. The package included my bouquet, the men's boutonnieres, a delicious wedding cake with cupcakes, a photographer, and a make-up artist with some lovely appetizers. We were able to bring in our own alcohol.
We were able to incorporate some of our own vows. Our wedding was beautiful, everything we could ask for, and easy to plan. Lisa was extremely helpful. I sent a few pictures of bouquets on the internet and my bouquet was perfect. There is a bride and groom dressing area with a common area to have snacks and drinks with lovely tables.
The photographer Lisa chose for us was wonderful. Cappy took wonderful pictures I will cherish forever. I loved my look for the wedding.
I would recommend this to anyone looking for a mountain elopement or small wedding.Something Blue Mountain Venue's reply:

It was a mountain top fairytale. The views were absolutely breathtaking, talk about the perfect location for an outdoor wedding! Lisa and her husband were professional, friendly, inviting, very accommodating, and overall just awesome people! The cherry on top was having my Corgi Stella be my flower girl, being able to have her included in the celebration was so wonderful. I wish I could relive that day at Something blue mountain venue. Thanks again for making our wedding day so special! (Our wedding was in October 2020, in the past few months they have made additions to their venue and it’s even more magical!!)Something Blue Mountain Venue's reply:

Lisa was amazing at helping us pivot our large wedding to a smaller, more intimate elopement due to the pandemic. She was understanding and great to communicate with during the entire process. We were even honored to have her act as our officiant.
When it came time to downsize our wedding, we knew we wanted a mountain backdrop for our ceremony, but the Parkway had limits and required permits for events. We were so happy when our photographers recommended Lisa and her venue. The views at her home are breathtaking, and we were so happy to have beautiful photos from our special day.
I would highly recommend Lisa and Something Blue Mountian Venue to anyone wanting a small ceremony with views that compare to the Blue Ridge Parkway. -

WOW. I cannot say enough about this incredible venue. My husband and I originally tried to book our elopement at this venue through SimplyEloped, and the process was anything but simple. I had such a hard time communicating with the SimplyEloped team. So I decided to reach out to Lisa directly and I am SO SO happy I did. She is so nice, accommodating, and easy to work with. The venue is beautiful and clean. Her personality is so easy going, she made our entire day comfortable. I never felt rushed or out of place. I wouldn't change anything about our day or the venue. Our ceremony was perfect, she had us fill out a form before we met. She even had a delicious cake for us that she decorated. If you're considering booking this venue, DO IT.
