We searched around and met with about 5 different DJs for our wedding. We ended up choosing Chris because he had the experience, the professionalism, and a nice price. Chris was great with setting aside time to meet with us a couple times to go over our song list. We had a little different music maybe from some couples in that we wanted a lot of Hawaiian music since we are from Hawaii. We sent him all of our Hawaiian music and he was able to play it during dinner and cocktail hour and it was perfect. We also had a little of a complicated wedding schedule, for example, instead of a first dance I performed a hula for my groom and then we surprised our guests with a hula together. Chris was perfect at executing this surprise for everyone. We also had our guests watch the fireworks outside and he was able to notify people to go watch the fireworks and come back for cake. He has a great announcing voice, he has previous experience in radio so we really enjoyed him as an MC to let people know what was going on. We had a fun little quiz game that he helped pull off that went great. As for the dance floor, well there were people out there dancing that I would never have expected to see dancing!! Some of the guests at our wedding culturally aren't really into dancing during weddings but they were up there having a good time. It was the first time my groom saw his mom dancing and having fun like that! Toward the end of our wedding we had a smaller group but he kept the party going and we all had a great time. He was very responsive to our emails and we were working with him from a distance and so this was greatly appreciated.

Chris also provided uplighting at a very reasonable price which gave a beautiful ambiance to our room. He got the color perfectly and the lights were out of the way and I didn't notice a single cord.

Overall for the price and the quality of service, Chris is a great wedding DJ!

Chris Bland was fantastic! he kept the party going all night and the crowd energized. He was accommodating with some last minute changes that we threw at him and never missed a beat! Thank you Chris!!!

I enjoyed having our pre-wedding meeting where he asked a lot of great questions and helped us plan out our music. He kept everything on track the day of the wedding but is more than flexible and really made it a great party where everyone was up dancing all night!! Great value and exceptional service!

Chris was great to work with. He provided good info on our timeline and kept the party going during the reception. It was a semi-destination wedding for us so we communicated mainly through e-mail. There were a few things lost in that communication - at the wedding the songs he played for our recessional and entrance were not the final ones we wanted, but ones from an earlier e-mail. It wasn't an issue since we had been going back & forth on what song to use anyways. It would have been good to confirm the actual songs in our phone conversations.

Chris did a great job for our daughter's wedding. He played all the special requests and special songs the couple picked out. Keep mellow music during the dinner hour. We had a small crowd but Chris kept our guest out on the dance floor and everyone had a fun time. Chris had lots of energy and would highly recommend Solid Gold

Chris Bland was very responsive, and easy to work with. However, he wasn't as enthusiastic during the reception and didn't do as good of a job to engage all my guests. His pricing is very friendly, and that's the main reason i chose him. if you just want someone to play music for your wedding and don't really care about having a fun MC/DJ, then go with Chris Bland!
