  Best Venue Awesome Food

  Out of all the venues I have visited, Shifting Sands was by far the best. Amanda and Linda were awesome. They worked around my schedule and made everything easy for me. Although we did not do a food tasting, the food was awesome. My guests enjoyed the celebration and everyone I talked to said it was the best celebration they have ever been too. I would "HIGHLY" recommend Shifting Sands. You will not be disappointed.

  Amazing venue and superb customer service!!

  Ms. Linda and Ms. Amanda were so amazing and very accommodating to me, Justin, and our family and friends. The food was so delicious - everyone was raving about the chicken cordon bleu!
  
  The customer service was superb and we are so happy we went with Shifting Sands for our wedding! We loved everything!

  My daughter had her wedding ceremony and reception at the Shifting Sands Beach Club this past Saturday and the customer service we received was nothing short of outstanding. From the initial planning meeting to the day of the wedding, Linda Godwin was there to provide us pertinent information concerning the big day and ensured us everything would be flawless and beautiful. I can't thank Linda, Amanda, and the rest of there staff enough for their exceptional service. My daughter and son-in-law was very happy with everything.

  Ocean View, Worry Free Planning, Delicious Food

  Linda was so helpful and patient as she dealt with several family members and then the future bride and groom. Details are her specialty and she has many quality contacts and suggestions.
  The bride and groom chose a beach wedding, which is close by, making things smoother for guests and pictures.
  The view from Shifting Sands is fantastic! Even though we were on the second floor and it was August, everyone was very comfortable there. Many guests remarked about the high quality of the food, especially the salmon and chicken. There was plenty of food too. My husband was surprised that their coffee was also very high quality. The staff went out of their way to serve, even bringing the wedding party ice water as they waited to go upstairs and get introduced by the DJ. We would highly recommend Shifting Sands and their wonderful staff for any event!

  The best place in town

  I cannot say ONE bad thing about my daughter wedding. I had my oldest daughter wedding there 7 years ago. And my husband and I knew we were going to have our youngest wedding there too. That was the first and only place we wanted. So on August 10 2019 our daughter had her dream wedding. Linda/ Amanda are so good in what they do. And the staff and food was fabulous. I am all ready planning our next event. My 60th birthday! In 2 more years. :) I hope the Shifting Sands continue to give out great service. Because I know this is ALL that this place has to offer. Thank you all so much again. The Aviles family.

  Everything I dreamed of and more...

  I had my wedding reception at Shifting Sands Beach Club on June 22, 2019 and it was everything I ever dreamed of and more. First, the view of the beach was absolutely stunning! The food and drinks COULD NOT HAVE BEEN BETTER! We had an open bar and we were surprised at how many compliments we received about the bartenders and the drinks they made! The food was, without a doubt, the best wedding food we've ever had and many of our guests said the same thing! One of the entrees on our buffet was top round of beef with a carver and several people said it was the best top round of beef they've ever had! This venue is run like a well oiled machine. We worked with Amanda Weber who, from the time we booked the venu to the day of was attentive, accommodating, professional, and helpful! I will never forget the moment I walked into the venue on my wedding day and saw how beautifully it was setup..... simply breathtaking and better than I ever could have imagined. So many of our guests said it was the best wedding they had ever been to. It was a warm June day and Shifting Sands managed to keep the room cool and comfortable... I wasn't even hot in my ball gown! Looking back, there is not one thing I would have changed about my wedding. My wedding reception was absolutely perfect! Thank you Amanda Weber and the rest of the crew at Shifting Sands for making our special day perfect!

  Son's Wedding Reception

  On June 22nd, 2019, We had our sons wedding reception at the Shifting Sands Beach Club. From beginning to end, both coordinators (Linda and Amanda) were incredible! They continually guided us through the entire process and delivered excellent service as promised. The service provided by the staff was great and the food was delicious! Several of our guests provided positive comments on the venue, service, and the quality of the food. The entire wedding ceremony went without a hitch and again, we can't say enough great things about Linda and Amanda! We would highly recommend the Shifting Sands for wedding receptions or any venue for that matter. Thank you for a fantastic time!

  We had our daughter's wedding at the Shifting Sands and couldn't have been more pleased with our decision. From the first time I contacted Linda, she was very helpful with all of our questions and concerns. Linda and Amanda made recommendations of other vendors, specifically DJ Hype (Marcus Matthews) and Wedding Officiant Cotton Markert who were both wonderful to work with, as well as Classy Covers. There were a couple of extra items to contend with like base access list for vendors and guests and beach access requests for a beach wedding but Linda helps you navigate through all of that with ease. It would be nice to have rooms for the bridal party to get ready in; however, we rented cottages which are close to the venue and got ready there. We rented cottages for our extended family as well so were able to make a great weekend surrounding the wedding event. We did our rehearsal on the beach the night before and just had an informal rehearsal dinner with the bridal party and family at the cottages. The food was outstanding, many of our guests raved about the food to include the salmon, chicken, and roasted potatoes. Linda was present at our event and everything ran smoothly and the staff was attentive to our needs. This is a great venue for military personnel and you cannot beat the value considering you are right there on the beach. If you are considering a beach wedding, look no further.

  Linda was amazing helping us get ready for the event! Her and her staff worked so hard to make everything perfect and the food was delishious. What was really amazing was they put aside hors d'oeuvres for my husband and I because we were out taking photos while they were being passed!!! They took such great care of us!!!

  Amanda and Linda were amazing, flexible, and friendly. They provided suggestions for the menu, the dj, and the officiant. Everything was phenomenal. The only criticism was the temperature. It was 95 degrees outside, it was a daytime wedding, and the systems could not keep up even with fans. The salmon, chicken, and beef were tasty and juicy. The dj, Marcus Matthews, got everyone on the dance floor, and the officiant, Cotton Markett, was very professional. You cannot go wrong with this team and this venue!

  Shifting Sands Beach Club helped us create amazing wedding memories for a lifetime! Linda was really great and very easy to get a hold of with questions during the whole planning process! We had roughly 160 guests at our wedding and the night all flowed SEAMLESSLY!!! The affordability of this venue allowed us to invite more people as well!! The guests raved about how good the food was! And the best part was the amazing beach views from the balcony during the reception! We were also able to utilize their beach for our ceremony! I cannot say enough great things about Linda and Amanda who helped us pull off a very memorable day!

  Amanda and Linda were amazing. They were on top of all our requests to include a day-prior switch to the indoor contingency due to inclement weather, which required them to re-organize the venue themselves. They were very respectful and accommodating throughout the entire wedding process and made Kim and I feel very lucky to have them on our team. Although the weather was horrible the day off, the venue worked out perfectly and we wouldn't have it any other way.

  Linda Godwin and Amanda Weber are top notch wedding planners. We really appreciated their efforts and attention to detail. Their efforts enabled my daughter's wedding to go off without a hitch. Just perfect. In fact, the entire wait staff were extremely courteous and friendly. Had no problems at all with respect to attendance lists and security at the gate. The food was excellent. Fresh and not overcooked. Plenty too. Folks went back for seconds. We highly recommend Mr. Scott Chapman, DR DJ Entertainment, (757) 306-4911) as the DJ/Master of Ceremony. He was just superb. We had a great time. Nice Guy. Linda and Amanda/Thanks so much!

  I threw a surprise party for my husband and Linda Godwin and her team went above and beyond to help me make it a success. Even the DJ's were accommodating because they love working with Linda. She's professional, responsive, helpful. She even has some acting skills! The venue is beautiful with a gorgeous view of the ocean/beachfront. The cottages nearby are easy and convenient for guests. Getting guests cleared through security was a breeze. My guests raved over the food and the service staff were so nice and hard working to ensure my guests were taken care of. I highly recommend this venue whether you're getting married, throwing a party or planning a corporate event.

  Although I was a worry wart throughout this process, Linda constantly assured us that everything would be wonderful. Any and all questions that I had (and there were plenty!) Linda and the staff were quick to respond to and steer us in the correct direction. The guests couldn't believe how wonderful the food was, we had many compliments on the hors d'oeuvres! The wait staff was very friendly and very helpful, especially during the clean-up process! I can't say enough good things about our experience! Thank you to Linda and the staff at the Shifting Sands for a wonderful wedding experience for my daughter and her new husband!

  It was beautiful and I would give them 10 stars not just 5.
  Linda and her staff went well above expectations. The venue was set up beautifully, the food was amazing and the view from the balcony overlooking the beach was SPECTACULAR.

  This is really a fabulous venue. The food was amazing. Linda and Amanda were so helpful and were really responsive. The wait staff was fantastic. We had our ceremony on the beach and our reception in the Fireside room. We had around 75 guests and the room was just the right size. Everything went off without a hitch. I highly recommend having your reception there.

  Shifting Sands customer service was top notch! They take care of every detail so that we as the bride and groom worry about nothing during our reception! The reception room we booked was right out of a fairytale storybook! High ceiling, chandelier, round tables, and the most beautiful beach side view! The food was delicious (yes I actually ate at my wedding)! The organization of the buffet like was flawless! If you want a worry free, affordable, and fancy reception-- shifting sands is for you! Only downside is that you need a military sponsor and military gate access.

  Shifting sands was the best place i could of chosen to have my wedding. The staff was so friendly and accommodating and the food was fantastic. I highly recommend this venue to any couple who want somewhere special to be married.

  If you have any military connection, you NEED to get married at Shifting Sands. They venue is gorgeous, Linda and Amanda are amazing, and the staff is the best! My husband and I got married in the deck and had the reception in the connected room! The food was awesome and everyone had a great time!

  Shifting Sands was so amazing. Amanda was incredible, sweet, and helpful. The food was top notch, and you absolutely cannot beat the price! My guest had a great time, and the view of the ocean was an added bonus for everyone-especially the out of town guests. Highly recommend!
