    Easy to work with!

    We used Rental City for the stage for our wedding. We had a 10-piece band and needed a large stage. They were able to help us on relatively short notice and were easy to work with throughout the process! Prices are reasonable and the stage looked great!

    Rental city was completely accommodating to our needs. They were totally versed in their products . Having never been involved with a tent and all its accompanying needs, rental city made our daughter's wedding beautiful. They were patient and explained each step of the tent construction, flooring and lighting we ordered from them. They were completely professional each and every time we called with a multitude of questions. Ten days out from the wedding we were still tweaking lighting and they made the adjustments we needed to make the atmosphere in and around the tent everything my daughter envisioned. Rental city was on site during the wedding in case adjustments to tent needed to be made for weather conditions, but were not. I was surprised to see them there late into the evening.and very grateful for their presence. They are total pros and know exactly what to expect from any situation and location. I would absolutely use them exclusively again. I highly recommend Rental City to anyone in need of a tent and party equipment. Their concern for their clients needs was foremost in their presentation and vision.

    This vendor was TOP NOTCH in every aspect!! All the items we rented along with the staff, service and overall concern of what we wanted and our happiness was Doug and his company's top concern from the moment we met with him, during setup and even when it came to take everything away. Rental City and Staff are #1 !!!!

    When rental city does a party "They do a party"!!!!
    We had MANY changes and mostly downgrades for the function because of attendance etc. Nothing to do with Rental City. Any & every time we changed something Doug was always pleasant, professional and polite.
    In the Southern New Jersey area there are a good number of rental companies. But they are innovative, creative & detailed. I wouldn't use any other company for a function of any kind.
    Go with rental city. You won't be dissapointed !!

    We worked with Dee last year for all of our Stone Harbor Wedding rentals and I don't have one bad thing to say! We couldn't have been happier with everything --her customer service was just as outstanding as all of the rentals. If you want someone who will help you get your vision right and make sure what you are renting will work for your space...and keep you organized, you've come to the right place! The tent was beautiful and the silver/china was of great quality. I HIGHLY recommend Rental City!

    Wonderful, professional, organized. Answered all questions and returned phone calls immediately. Equipment was clean, beautifully presented, tents were amazing. Great value. Excellent service. Only rental service I would recommend. A gem in the tri state region! Do not gamble on a "cheaper" less expensive company...prices were great and everything supplied looked brand new! Day before event, owner and employees worked diligently and professionally in terrible rain and wind. Dee was wonderful --really knows the rental and party planning like no one else. I would have been lost without her. Dee was patient, kind and answered all concerns. Working with Rental City and Dee made our daughter's dream wedding come true!

    Supplied everything I needed for an outside wedding. They even delivered everything a day before schedule! Amazing to work with! Stress free planning with rental city!

    Jolanda is da bomb! She was so responsive to our needs. The only reason I gave this company two stars on responsiveness was because despite having a four hour window for setup, the crew arrived exactly at the end of those four hours, seriously delaying my family's and friends' ability to set up and decorate. Everything else was extremely agreeable though. Jolanda reworked our contract every time we wanted to play with a new table/seating arrangement. They offered us a discount if we paid cash and when we did not end up using the heaters, we were able to get a partial refund on both the equipment and the unused propane! I would absolutely recommend them. Just plan for the setup crew to arrive at the end of their window!

    Leading up to the wedding, I absolutely loved Rental City and the work that they were doing for us. They seemed to be very attentive and wonderful to do business with, the morning of the wedding, however, my feelings changed.

    It had rained (not much, but rain nonetheless) the morning of our wedding. When we arrived (very early in the morning) to set everything up, we noticed that the tent had leaked in certain spots in the roof. Our dance floor and a couple tables had big puddles of water on them. Despite having a floor plan created, all of the tables needed to be moved as they were not in the correct spots (which we didn't mind doing, but it was just more time).

    Then, we took the linens out of their bags. The linens for the rectangular tables were WAY too long. Jolanda, after about 10 phone calls to the office before getting an answer, tried to assure us that they were correct, but even centered, the linens drug an extra 18 inches on both sides of the table. Thankfully, we had to rectangular tables pushed together so we were able to gather the extra fabric in the middles where it wouldn't show. The linen for our dessert table (round) had a dirty hand print on it that looked like grease or oil. We never received an apology or anything else to correct these issues and my team that helped set up that day did their best to disguise the flaws in the items we rented.

    Rental City: Customer service was bare minimum, prices higher than other rental places, physical location hard to find. On bright side--linens were fine, came in the correct color, were clean & folded. They were also good about handling last minute order changes.

    I chose Rental City because they had lower prices than other rental companies for weddings. I rented a dance floor, chairs for the ceremony and a wedding arch. I guess you get what you pay for.

    While the customer service rep was extremely nice and helped me figure out the dance floor and chairs, the delivery of service was extremely poor. My husband went to their office the day before the wedding to pick up the arch. (We wanted to pick it up then so that we knew how to put it together for the wedding.) My husband said that they waited in the back for someone to give him the arch, and nobody helped him. Finally he went up the front desk, and the lady didn't understand why no one was helping him because "our wedding was of high importance for them that day." After he picked up the arch and brought it home, it was a huge disappointment. The arch was missing pieces and had black marks all over it. I didn't know until after the wedding that he and my father-in-law put tape over the holes (where the missing pieces were supposed to go) and painted over the black marks so I wouldn't see them.

    On the day of the wedding, the delivery truck was over an hour late. They were supposed to arrive 2 hours before the ceremony to set up the dance floor and chairs. Because they were late, they had to rush to set everything up. Family members told me that they were rude too, and never apologized for showing up late. It's like they didn't even care.

    The dance floor looked nice though as well as the chairs. After the ceremony, they took down the chairs. They came back the next morning to get the arch and dance floor.

    I wouldn't order from Rental City again due to some of the rental equipment and the delivery people being rude and late. It's a shame, because their customer service rep is so nice and organized, and she always remembered who I was when I called.

    On client pickup, client went to the back warehouse before going into the front office to get proper paperwork for pickup of items. Once warehouse discovered that client didn't have proper equipment, he was sent back up front.

    We were given a delivery window to this site between 2pm - 3:30pm. We arrived at 3:05pm to setup.

    Being rude to a client is totally unacceptable with management and after looking back at notes on this event, I think it was because of the person on site accepting the floor was told a different time frame they were already on edge. This particular crew that installed has been with our company for more than 4 years and we have never had a complaint about them being rude to anyone.

    We have since also done more events at this venue site and they have been very pleased with our products, service and delivery personnel.

    Our experience with the customer service representative was good, she was friendly and helped us to plan our wedding on a short timeline. Unfortunately, the products we received and our interactions with the Company after our wedding were a huge disappointment.

    First, the set-up was supposed to be complete by 5:00 on Friday evening. We arrived at 2:00 and hardly anything was complete. When we left at 5:30, hardly anything was set up. As a result, we weren't able to inspect the set-up the night before. However, at that time, we did notice that the water barrel covers were dirty (and Rental City replaced them with wrinkled covers) and that the lights we ordered were filthy. Rental City claims that they sent me a picture of the fixtures, but the picture shows simple but clean fixtures from a distance. The fixtures we received were dirty and looked like something taken off of a construction site. When we complained, we were told they could not be replaced.

    The biggest issue was that the tent was not put together correctly. There was a gap the size of a person in between two of the tents which created a wind tunnel through our wedding. Since the tent was not set up when we left the night before, we did not notice the issue until the wedding, when our guests complained about the wind. Our wedding day, our planner discovered dirty chairs (never set up) and an arbor with missing pieces (also not set up)

    When we complained, we were told these problems were our fault and, if we called them sooner (on our wedding day) they would have sent out replacements. I was also told that the generator we ordered ran overnight and we were responsible for the additional cost. We were never told we had to turn it off (knowing nothing about generators, I had no reason to believe it wasn't on a timer). They gave us "credits" to cover the amounts we "owed" them yet somehow managed to take every penny of our deposit.

    To recap on somethings the client complained about. Setup times are never given out but a range of time is. This particular setup was difficult due to the winds at this location. It also had rained the night before so some items (barrel covers) did get dirty while installing. We had every intention of replacing certain items the next day and could not contact the client to tell them what our plans were for the next day. We did in fact send a crew to "fix" certain issues that we were already aware of and we did in fact fix them in plenty of time of there event.

    The lighting issue was a complete misinterpretation between us, wedding planner and client. The client wanted a less expensive light then what we originally had on the contract and a picture was sent and approved. That is what we provided. Once the lighting was installed at initial install, these particular lights cannot be removed until tents are taken down, so the clients request to remove was impossible to do.

    In regards to the generator; on the contract the client signed it clearly states that the generator is on an hourly meter and will be charged for time used. 8 hours is given with the initial charge and it states that overage hours will be prorated and billed. Wedding planner states that it was turned off at a certain time that would have kept it within the hours, but also indicated that people were still there when she left... generator was running when we arrived the next morning to take down event. We charged them for time used.

    We did give courtesy refunds back for valid issues with the chairs, and I did go back and adjust the generator charges to less, and did in fact give a managers discount back just because.

    We have done many events at this venue site and have had many many good comments and happy clients for events we have done here.

    I am not discounting that we could have done better on some things for this client, but we feel that we reimbursed appropriately.
