Donna is talented, professional, and so very kind. She was our florist for our wedding earlier this month (October 2023). The bouquets, boutonnières, and corsages that she created were all perfect and exactly what I had envisioned. I also loved how Donna crafted the corsages into pearl-like bracelets with the sunflower (our main flower choice) attached to it. We definitely recommend Donna for anyone’s floral needs! 🌻🤍💐♥️ -

I hired Donna as my day-of coordinator and florist, and I could not recommend her enough!! She was very responsive to all of the questions I had for her in the months leading up to the wedding. She did a great job of informing me of things I wouldn't have normally thought about. Her experience in the wedding industry was very apparent. Regarding florals, I originally showed her inspiration pictures and she was very flexible in creating my floral quote based on my budget without sacrificing the vision I had. The day of the wedding, she and her assistant set up all of our "from home" decorations exactly how we wanted them to be set up. And I was absolutely blown away by my flowers and her centerpiece designs she created! Thank you Donna and Team for making our day unforgettable!Receptions by Design TN's reply:

Above and Beyond!
Donna and her assistant Arika are amazing and worth every penny! Donna handled all of the planning details, our floral arrangements, and made sure the wedding day ran smoothly. She is detailed oriented, knowledgeable, kind, warm, and patient. Leading up to the wedding, she answered my endless list of questions with a smile every time. Both Donna and Arika are true professionals. They listened to what we wanted and handled a few last minute changes with a smile. The final result was an amazing and magical evening! Many of our guests commented on how beautiful everything was and how smoothly the evening ran. Having Donna allowed us to enjoy the day without any of the worries or stress. Look no further!!
I wish I could give ten stars! Donna was worth every penny! She was organized, in charge, friendly and sweet, knowledgeable, professional and unbelievably helpful! She took our wishes and turned them into an even more beautiful wedding than we could have imagined, and she was fast and thorough. Her floral arrangements were exquisite and elegant, top-notch. To have the coordination and decor of our big day in Donna’s hands was the biggest relief because we knew no matter what needed to be done, Donna would handle it however we wanted or better. Donna and Arika were wonderful! They made my wedding day stress free and took care of all of the little details I had no idea about. My flowers were gorgeous. I wanted pretty, rustic, and simple and that’s exactly what we had. Donna also helped with a family issue and made things so much better!Receptions by Design TN's reply:

Donna did an AMAZING job with our florals for our wedding! Everything turned out absolutely beautiful! Donna was great our first phone call. She knew exactly what greenery, flowers, vases/centerpieces, etc. to use for both the ceremony and reception after I told her my style. She was also very knowledgeable knowing where everything exactly should go at my venue. She was very kind throughout the whole process, staying within my price range as I added/changed things closer to my wedding date. She even incorporated my mother's garter beautifully into my bridal bouquet! Our ceremony pictures turned out so pretty with our bouquets and the large arbor design serving as a beautiful backdrop for our wedding. The centerpieces at our reception exceeded my expectations and we received SO many compliments from our guests. I HIGHLY recommend Donna!Receptions by Design TN's reply:

Donna Ames was hired as day of coordinator and did a fantastic job. Prior to the day she gave several recommendations for other vendors and we were very pleased with her suggestions. All around amazing!
Donna is such an amazing coordinator! She is so easy to work with, understood my needs and made everything come together perfectly! Donna made suggestions and I trusted her blindly, I knew she understood what my vision was for my daughters event. Not only that but Arika her assistant is just as amazing! Together they make a perfect team. From the coordination and timeline, I the way they setup the candy table, the cake surrounded by chocolate covered strawberries, favor table, I mean every single detail! -

Donna was an amazing person to work with from the beginning. She was immediately responsive when I contacted her. She patiently answered questions along the way. She recommended, advised, guided and prompted as necessary. During rehearsal, she was in charge and made sense out of chaos. On the day of, she and Arika made the house, the tables - everything - beautiful. She made my life so much easier and less stressful (I say less because what mother of the bride doesn't feel some stress!). She took charge and let me do what was important - be present in the moment and be with my daughter and celebrate her marriage. Things ran like clockwork and I never had to check or wonder where I was supposed to be and yet it wasn't like hearding cattle. It was wonderful.
When it became obvious that my daughter's long dreamed of outdoors wedding under the willow was likely to not happen, she gently guided me into acceptance and alternatives that made sense and worked beautifully. She handled the bride to be like a champ while helping us adjust plans. She came early and left late. What can I say? Nothing was missed or overlooked (except for the cake server I forgot to upack!). I cannot say enough about how wonderful Donna and her assistant, Arika, were from the rehearsal through the last moment of the wedding. They made pulling off a last minute venue change to a home/backyard wedding and reception a truly beautiful occasion for all. From the gorgeous flowers, to the beautiful table settings, to keeping everything on track (and helping me remember what I needed to do!), they were truly a blessing! Receptions by Design is amazing whether you use Donna as your day of coordinator or your florist. We used her for both and every single detail about or day was flawless. She made everything run smoothly which made us not have to worry about anything and just enjoy our wedding day. The flowers were absolutely beautiful - she took the idea i had and made it 10x better!
