Thank you Rabbi Brian!
Thank you so much Rabbi Brian! My husband is Unitarian and I am non-practicing Jew, but we both were drawn to the traditions of a Jewish-ish wedding. Rabbi Brian has a calm and reassuring demeanor. He clearly cares about the people he marries, and got to know us well. I was relaxed at the altar knowing he was at the helm and would guide us. We told him we wanted a meaningful and heartfelt ceremony and he did just that. He made the ceremony individualized, explained the traditions to our mostly non-Jewish guests, made it sweet and very funny. So many people commented on how much they loved Rabbi Brian. My single friend said she enjoyed the ceremony so much, she decided that she would need to find a Jewish man so Rabbi Brian could marry her! I let her know that he would marry anyone from any religion.

Brilliant!
We are a lesbian and a gender non-binary couple. We weren't certain what a rabbi would be comfortable with. Or what we would be comfortable with. Rabbi Brian to the rescue. They helped us figure out what we wanted in public and what we wanted to keep private. rB helped us to make a ceremony that was reflective of us. Truly Above & Beyond
We're not ones to typically write reviews, but when someone goes truly above and beyond we feel compelled. Simply put, Rabbi Brian exceeded our expectations in every way. Besides deciding to get married to each other, picking Rabbi Brian to marry us was the best decision we've made.
As an interfaith couple, with one initially unsupportive family, we came with some inherent difficulties that other couples may not have.
Instantly, Rabbi Brian exuded a sense of genuine warmth, and we felt a deep connection the like we have not experienced before. It was the first time that we not only felt heard, but it was the first time we felt accepted and loved by any officiant. At every step of our journey, Rabbi Brian was in our corner. He was prompt, kind, and patient with our ignorance of wedding protocols and traditions. He freely and without restriction taught us and prepared us for our special day and our future together.
As both of us struggled with family acceptance from one side, Rabbi Brian shined like no other. He mentored us and helped us to develop healthy perspectives while simultaneously offering to borrow trouble for himself in counseling the family. We are forever indebted for the mind-blowing progress he helped all of us to achieve in this aspect.
As for our ceremony, Rabbi Brian crafted it beautifully. Even looking back retrospectively, we cannot think of any way it could have been better. (To give you an idea, one of our friends, who is an atheist , said that she would like Rabbi Brian to officiate her wedding based on how absolutely amazing he was.)
As for our future, we will continue following Rabbi Brian's Religion-Outside-The-Box. Our appreciation for all that he has done for us is incalculable, yet all he has asked for, in return, is a selfie from our anniversaries to come. The fact that he wants to follow us really speaks to the love we feel from him.
As for you reading this review, we do not know the words that speak strongly enough to how much we fully and unequivocally encourage you to reach out to Rabbi Brian for your wedding. We're not ones to typically write reviews, but when someone goes truly above and beyond we feel compelled. So much more than just an officiant!
I come from a Jewish background and my husband from a Lutheran background however together we are both more spiritual than religious. We wanted an officiant that could make a ceremony that was meaningful to us while incorporating some of the family's traditions. Rabbi Brian did this and beyond! He met with us frequently and truly got to know us as couple in addition to doing exercises with us to strengthen our relationship which was an added bonus we were not expecting! With every step and decision about our wedding day he encouraged us to make it our own and to add meaning to it. We ended up getting some of our closest family and friends involved in our ceremony and it was such a wonderful way to keep in touch with everyone and add unique touches (ex: my best friend was going to create our ketubah for us, guests to contribute blessing to a book instead of reading the traditional blessings).
Well, then COVID hit and all that planning got put on hold. We decided to totally change our plans and have an intimate 6-person adventurous elopement on a cliff side. Rabbi Brian was right there & quite a trooper! He hiked with us to one of our favorite spots and put on a beautiful and very special ceremony!
We plan to do a vow-renewal ceremony next year in front of our family & friends (fingers crossed) and couldn't think of a better person for the job than Rabbi Brian! He is not only our officiant and rabbi, but our marriage counselor and go-to friend if you need a laugh or pick-me-up!
He truly cares about the couples he works with & it shows! He knows how to do the traditional but what makes him unique is his ability to personalize a wedding. I would highly recommend! I know it looks too good to be true when you see a rating that is all stars (perfect). but the truth is Rabbi Brian really was perfect for my wedding. He had been recommended to me by another rabbi, and I never met him in person until the day of our wedding, but that didn't matter. He guided me and my wife through a very clear process (over email and skype) that was clearly designed to both help us get exactly what we wanted from our ceremony, but also to help us think through important issues as a couple. He is a very wise person.
I should add ours was in interfaith marriage and his guidance was amazing in that regard as well. The ceremony itself went exactly as planned, and we actually got comments from our guests about how good the Rabbi was and how they wish he had officiated at their weddings! I cannot recommend Rabbi Brian enough. I was raised Catholic and my husband is Jewish, so it was important to us to find an officiant who could prepare a ceremony that would be inclusive for us and our families. Right from our first meeting, we knew Rabbi Brian would do a good job, however, we were absolutely blown away by the beautiful and spiritual ceremony Rabbi Brian performed for us. It was as if he had know us for years. We have yet to have a guest who hasn't commented on how amazing Rabbi Brian was. What a truly amazing officiant Rabbi Brian is!! We had so many people in awe over his ceremony. I had four friends ask for is information for their own weddings and a couple don't even have boyfriends yet. The ceremony was wholly spiritual and was exactly how I would want our partially Jewish and mostly spiritual ceremony to be! I cannot express how magical working with Rabbi Brian has been. What a truly amazing officiant Rabbi Brian is!! We had so many people in awe over his ceremony.
