  Professional Execution

  We worked with Michael and Ovation for our wedding in San Diego and utilized his services for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. As people who really care about sound and music, after searching for various wedding DJs and not really finding anyone who stood out, Michael came to us recommended by a friend and wedding planner who spoke highly of not only of his great MC skills, but also of his professionalism and organization, which at the time, we thought was an interesting comment to make about a DJ. Her comments soon proved to be absolutely accurate as Michael was efficient and organized from the moment we met him via email, with timely email responses, and prompt scheduling of Zoom meetings prior to our wedding. He also came prepared with his own wedding schedule/timeline on a Google doc which we were able to edit up until the week of the wedding as our ideas/songs/processional order changed. He reviewed several Spotify playlists we provided as inspiration for the ceremony and reception. We absolutely appreciated his professionalism throughout the process, as well as his expert feedback regarding our song choices. He is professional and adaptable, and clearly well-versed in all genres of music. I am confident that no matter what your music preferences are (oldies, country, pop, electronic, rock, a random mix of the above?!), as long as you convey your interests, Michael can throw any genre dance party, and he WILL throw you YOUR best dance party. He surprised the guests with small favors when dancing, and both the kids and grandparents loved his light up toys. Lighting was provided as part of his DJ service as well, which was executed perfectly. I've been to many weddings as a guest, and almost always have a few issues with sound or music, but our entire day ran so smoothly, from ceremony sound to song choices to dancing music transitions, that that only disappointing thing I have to report is that I was so busy as the bride that I did not get to hang out with Michael who felt like a friend after those Zoom meetings! Michael traveled to San Diego from LA for us, and we are so glad that we found him, and we would absolutely work with him again if we ever had the opportunity to throw another party.

  Amazing DJ & MC!

  My wife and I highly recommend Ovation Entertainment if you are considering them to be your DJ & MC for your wedding/next event. Since our first conversation with Michael, we felt very comfortable and reassured by his professionalism and experience. We had a large wedding and we were both nervous about how the day would go and whether we would be able to keep everyone entertained and happy. Michael was always happy to help and provided great advice to us. On the day of our wedding, he did an amazing job as a DJ to keep the party going and as an MC to keep everyone entertained throughout the night. Our guests had a lot of compliments for him and even told him directly that his set list was lit at the end of the night! If that isn’t proof enough of his skill, we don’t know what is!

  The life of the party and made our wedding unforgettable!!

  Michael is INCREDIBLE!! I cannot emphasize enough how amazing he is at what he does. From starting with our ceremony to bringing the party throughout the night, he really set the tone and had everyone engaged and dancing throughout the night. He helped us with tons of recommendations for songs starting from the songs for walking down the aisle to the cake cutting song and the send off song. From our first meeting with him, he really helped us through the wedding planning process by creating a timeline for us with the various songs included that we would have throughout the night. He knew how to transition the songs perfectly like during our first dance and set the tone for the party with the bridal party entrance song. He knew how to hype everyone up and was an AMAZING mc!! Our venue unfortunately had an early curfew and a lot of restraints for noise, but despite that he was able to get everyone on the dance floor and keep the party going all the way until the end of the night! We got so many compliments from our guest for how smoothly our wedding flowed and we have Michael to thank for that. There were no awkward moments or moments where the guests were wondering what was going to happen next. He really kept everyone engaged the whole night long. We cannot thank Michael enough for helping make our wedding a dream come true!!!!

  World-class service!

  I hired Michael to be the DJ for my wedding at the Richard Nixon Library. I had some unique ideas that I wanted to try and Michael was enthusiastic in helping me achieve my vision. We met several times before the wedding and went over all the details. He anticipated potential problems before they arose and on the day of the wedding, he had everything working perfectly. In addition to being a world-class pro that perfectly interacted with our guests and played spot-on music, he provided lighting that transformed the space into a magical place. I'm somewhat particular when it comes to lighting, and he blew my expectations away. Even during the dancing portion of the reception, he was constantly transforming the room with his lighting. Michael is more than a DJ- he's a wedding wizard. He really helped me bring what I had in my head to reality and I couldn't have done it without him. I enthusiastically and whole-heartedly recommend you hire Michael for your event. Thanks for all your help Michael!!

  Do it. Lifesaver. Party Starter. Emcee Extraordinaire

  Michael is a life saver. You fill out a list of songs on his site so he learns your taste and then he tailors the night around you. And if you give him enough leeway to add great songs from other genres and eras, he will modify the playlist on the spot to keep the audience engaged, dancing, and energized the whole night through. But he’s more than just music, lights, and fun party items to keep the guests moving, he’s basically your Emcee, DJ, and coordinator rolled into one. He even helped us find our missing Wedding Cake when the Kitchen Staff couldn’t find it. Worth the money. ABSOLUTE LIFESAVER.

  So much fun!

  We hired Michael as our wedding DJ and we were unbelievably happy with his product. Michael is an absolute professional. You can just tell straight off the bat that he has done this for his entire life, and this is his true calling.
  
  From beginning to end, he was on-top of every single thing in the planning process to the actual execution. The reason we went with Michael was because we had recently attended my friend's wedding where Michael was the DJ and it was an absolute blast. We wanted to bring that same energy and level of excitement to our wedding that had a heavy emphasis on dancing and music.
  
  He made sure to meet with us on multiple occasions to develop a timeline of the day and to ensure that each detail was nailed down prior to the date of the wedding. He's also full of great recommendations and suggestions, and on the day of he was in lock-step with our wedding planner. He comes with all of his own equipment (table, lighting, mic set-ups, audio set-ups, etc.) and he breaks it all down.   Where to even start. Michael is amazing!! No need to keep DJ shopping, stop here. Our dance floor was a non stop party and so fun!! Michael had done my twin sisters wedding and when I got engaged he was the first vendor I reached out to and I planned our wedding date around his availability. Some say silly, I say genius. We wanted a fun, non stop party and he will definitely get you on the dance floor. Not only does he manage to pull of the most epic party he basically serves as a second coordinator. He puts together a complete timeline and script of the entire day! His expertise and ideas along the entire process are unmatched and really helped make for the perfect day. We had multiple meetings to make sure every detail was covered. All of our music from the ceremony to the cocktail hour to the reception was perfect! He really takes the time to get to know you as a couple and your bridal parties and families to add great personal touches to your day. Our friends are still raving about how much fun they had and how great he was!! Thank you Michael!! You’re amazing :)

  This is your DJ

  I was invited from out of town to come to this wedding. I wish we could hire DJ Michael for all of our upcoming events. He was amazing, fun, and very attentive to all guests. While he was DJ-ing and getting people up to dance he was also serving cake to the bride and groom at their table. During different dances he was handing out fun props to dance with like flashing glasses, hats, necklaces, and many other things. This is the best DJ you will ever have!

We didn't have a wedding planner, so he took it upon himself to help us with the wedding planning process.   The Best Decision We Made!

  Michael has been our dj since 2019 when we originally booked him. We were set for a 2020 wedding but then the pandemic happened. We emailed back and forth, we kept in touch, and he never abandoned us! He was probably our only original vendor from when we first started planning. It really means a lot to us that he stayed with us. He offered encouragement, support, and he was always so kind and easy to communicate with. I had recently canceled my big reception, but then a few days later I decided to throw together a small, intimate reception because I wanted my father/daughter and first dance. Those were things I didn’t want to be without, and Michael was all for it. He was amazing! Truly, he brought the fun to the party. He has many party tricks and he’s so professional and hyped. He goes above and beyond for his couples. My guests were so happy and impressed with him. They really had a great time and kept complimenting Michael. Do not hesitate to book him. He’s worth it for your event. Thank you Michael for helping us!

  Michael was absolutely incredible! We had a friend who used him at their wedding and we knew we had to have him for ours. DJ’s are one thing you definitely want to pay more for and Michael was worth every penny. We had multiple virtual meetings with him so he could get a feel for what we wanted and he really went above and beyond to get to know us as a couple so he could provide the best quality service he could. On our wedding day, he was the first one there setting up and making sure everything was running smoothly. He’s like a DJ and day of coordinator all in one!! He even brought a bunch of fun party favors for dancing which everyone loved. We cannot thank michael enough for making our wedding so amazing.

But with Michael, I felt like knowing he had everything organized and so put together really helped the stress of wedding planning. I was able to trust that he would make sure things are flowing and going smoothly on the day of! Even leading up to the day, he was so helpful, had as many meetings as we needed and answered all of our emails and questions so quickly.
  He is also great for any advice you might need, with how much experience he has. It's a bit overwhelming going into planning things, but he was so great with giving options and advice.
  The day went even better than I expected. I received sooo many compliments on the reception - from his music to the way everything flowed, to the fun props he brings!

  Awesomeness in Action

  Michael's professional expertise, flexibility and creativity is consistently excellent. He fostered the most intimately beautiful party ambiance for three very different family occasions; my father's 95th Birthday Celebration and his Celebration of Life and my daughter's wedding. With each celebration, Michael fostered discussion to create the ambiance, music selection, and joy specifically desired for the occasion. Especially for my daughter's wedding Michael familiarized himself with the couples desires and then crated the exact ambiance through the lighting, music and reading the guests energy throughout the evening. Great party the entire evening. Michael is awesomeness in action.

  OMG! Michael is the BEST!!!

  If you are looking for a DJ, stop your search and hire Michael immediately!!! He is hands down the best DJ I have ever seen. He knows how to get everyone out on the dance floor and is amazing at coordinating your wedding timeline. We have received so many compliments since our wedding and could not be happier!

  Outstanding!

  Michael is truly talented in what he does. He hands down the best DJ and MC I have ever seen. He was the DJ/MC for our wedding in May at Strawberry Farms Golf Club in Irvine and he made our wedding night perfect. My husband and I couldn't have been happier. Michael loves what he does and it shows in his work. He met with us three times prior to our wedding to plan our music and the flow of the night. Not only did he organize the music, but he created the whole timeline for the day. He broke up the dances and speeches, which really livened up the night for our guests. We didn't have to worry about anything with Michael on our team. He a;so provided amazing up-lighting and glow in the dark glasses and rings for our guests. So many of our guests came up to us and told us how much they loved the glow in the dark items! I highly recommend hiring him as your DJ/MC!

  Michael is one of my favorite people on the planet! He's also a fantastic DJ! I can't say enough about how incredible he is at what he does. I had the privilege of working with Michael when I was a wedding coordinator and he was always by far my favorite vendor to work with. He was always super responsive, professional and truly just a pleasant and kind person to work with. I also always received such positive feedback about him from my clients. I recently got married and when it came time to select a DJ he was the first one I thought of. Let me tell you - he did not disappoint. He blew my husband and my expectations out of the water. From the point of view of a bride working with Michael, he was a huge contributing factor to how perfect our day was. Not only was he organized and detailed, he also made the reception such a blast! I lost count of how many of our wedding guests complimented on how great and fun he was. One of my aunts even said "Your DJ was amazing; I never dance and he got me on the dance floor!" So in sum, choose Michael as your wedding DJ! You will not regret it :)

  Outstanding wedding DJ

  Michael was outstanding from every aspect. From the very start, it was clear that Michael wanted to get to know us and help us create the wedding of your dreams. We met 4-5 times over the course of the 9 months leading up to our wedding where we discussed everything from our families to our vision for our wedding to our tastes in music. He helped us plan out a full timeline for the entire night, and made sure to think of so many details that we would have never even considered by ourselves.
  
  We'd been to another wedding that Michael DJ'ed so we knew what to expect at the event, but Michael still blew us away! He was early to set up, and his choice of music was outstanding for everything from the pre-ceremony background music to the party. Michael worked around the sound restrictions from our venue, and still had the dance floor full all night long. We've gotten so many compliments about how much fun people had and how great Michael was.
  
  Lastly, while I don't remember what our other bids were, it's worth pointing our that the contract/pricing with Michael was so simple and straight-forward. Michael gave us one price and everything was included - no extra charges for travel or mics/equipment or anything else. Taking everything into account, not only was Michael an incredible DJ for our wedding, but he also provided outstanding value. We can't recommend him enough.

  BEST dj , makes any party fun!

  By far the best vendor I choose for my wedding. Michael was so professional , fun and quick to respond. I first saw him at a friends wedding and was so impressed. One of his unique things is that he will throw of glow sticks, party hats, sparkly gloves ect. into the crowd ( if thats your style).

He was so flexible in meeting us in various locations as we were moving and had so many amazing creative ideas that made the night truly fabulous. He is amazing at what he does and knows how to read the crowd. All of my guests danced the entire night and kept telling me how much fun they had in the weeks to follow. Our wedding was also the first wedding that my husband and I had ever attended, so we had a lot of questions about the flow of the reception, and Michael helped us plan and answered all of our questions to make our planning stress free. I highly recommend him! His lighting was also amazing! It transformed the room and made it even more romantic. The colors changed as different events were happening and it was beautiful. Thank you Michael for helping us have the best night of our lives!

  We received Michael's information from a friend who was adamant about how necessary Ovation Entertainment is to make a wedding unforgettable. We hired him and found out how true that is. Michael met with us three times over the course of our wedding planning to work through our unique timeline. He had a portal for us to list songs, personal information and family dynamics so he could be fully prepared to MC our night. He worked to get to know our music preferences, and what kind of night we wanted to have. When it came to the wedding, he was on time, with an assistant and THREE separate set-ups making the flow of the evening seamless. He was so professional. He had mics for the ceremony and made sure the entire thing was heard. HE BROUGHT PROPS FOR THE RECEPTION. WHAT. They kept the guests on the dance floor ALL NIGHT LONG. Seriously, I still have people telling me my DJ was ON POINT. People who don't dance were the last ones on the floor. Michael is the perfect mix of party and professional. Through the whole night, there was never a lull. Even down to walk up songs for the wedding party speeches! He cares about the couples he works with and his passion for what he does is evident. He helped us with custome songs and playlists and added so many incredible things to keep the party going all night long! He also worked with singer for perfect timing and pitch.
