  Great Cape Experience for Our Family and Friends

  We hired Old Fashioned Clambakes for our rehearsal dinner. My fiance (now husband) wanted the traditional clambake with seaweed (not the pots of boiling water), and Old Fashioned Clambakes delivered! Chris and his staff were prompt, attentive, and created a perfect New England style dinner for our out-of-state guests. We had a slight weather problem that day, which interrupted our plans to eat outside. Chris and his staff were ready and very flexible to move the dinner indoors. Each portion was served in a foil serving tray with utensils, lobster cracker, and steak knives (if applicable). Chris also explained the steaming process for our guests, which was greatly appreciated by clambake newbies. He prepared the vegetarian dishes first so it had no contact with any of the meat, and our guests said it was one of the best vegetarian dishes they have ever had. We were extremely thrilled, as foodies with lots of foodie guests and were happy to be able to provide a classic Cape Cod dinner. We definitely recommend Old Fashioned Clambakes!

  As I told him when he left, Chris was a lifesaver! We had a family reunion for 36 people, with lobster and steak. Not only did they do a great job preparing, service, and cleaning up, but he completely and 100% reassured me that I could relax and enjoy the party. Our guests were so impressed and loved everything! It could not have turned out better. The only thing I would do different next time is have our guests pre-order lobster or steak so that I make sure I order enough of both. But that's on me; not on Chris and co. His crew was friendly, warm, encouraging, and helpful. They responded to all requests quickly and with warmth. It's clear, they've done this thousands of times and know the drill.

  A quick note to complement you on such an outstanding clambake! The food was absolutely fabulous! Your clam chowder recipe is the best we've ever had, and many of our guests gave the same rave reviews. Steamers were tender and sweet. And what can we say about the 2 1/2 lb lobster feast with all the fixings!...just over the top! We also noticed and appreciated the well organized service and cleanup. Your staff was so very friendly and helpful. We will certainly recommend your excellent clambake company to our neighbors and friends here on Cape and on the South Shore.

  We loved working with this local, family-owned, family-run business! Bob has been doing this a long time and we knew that we were in good hands. We had a lot of kids at our wedding and they had a kids option. The clam chowder was fantastic and the lobsters were so fresh and perfectly cooked! I only gave a 3 for responsiveness because sometimes the email exchanges took a few days. Phone calls are best with this company:)
