    OCLA Events did a great job transforming our already beautiful venue into something even more magical! John was awesome to work with, he got back to us in a timely manner and was very honest about what would work best for the vision we were trying to create. I would highly recommend them!

    A pleasure to work with!

    We found this company off of our venue's preferred vendor list as our venue had very specific requirements regarding lighting. This company came in and did a phenomenal job both the lighting and the decor for our venue. John was a pleasure to work with and more than helpful. He often made suggestions that were cost-saving but ultimately to our benefit. John came and did a personalized walk through with our wedding coordinator to ensure he understood exactly what it was we were looking for on our special day.
    He then went through at least 10 different iterations of our estimate based on the various options he could provide, helping us navigate what he thought would work best for us. John was incredibly flexible even with last minute changes and continued to be a joy to work with through the day of the event. Ultimately ended up using OCLA for lighting and rental of chairs (chivari), chargers, sweetheart chair (ended up showing up damaged, but they were very quick to change it out and refund us), and extra tables.

    Cannot recommend him and OCLA Events highly enough!

    John at OCLA Events was absolutely wonderful to work with! He worked with me to give me the best deal possible and went above and beyond in expectations and delivery. He and his team completely transformed a plain venue into the setting that I had dreamed of complete with glamorous chandelier, exquisite draping, lighting, and spotlights that were just perfect for our Old Hollywood Glam themed reception.
    In addition to that, John went above and beyond to assist our planners in making sure the venue was completely ready for us, helping out with details beyond what he was responsible for and I will be forever grateful for his help, talent, and wonderful service!!

    I have worked with John on many events. He is a wonderful man to work with. John is kind, generous, smart and a great event coordinator. He is always supportive of his clients and goes above and beyond all expectations. He has new creative ideas and always gets the clients the best deal for the event possible. I would highly recommend using him for any type of event you have in mind wedding, fashion show, farmers market he does it all.

    I was referred to OCLA events by my best friend, who worked with John previously. I needed additional lighting for my wedding venue and so I reached out to OCLA. John was so quick to respond. He was so flexible with everything! I had seen their work a month before at another wedding, which they completely enhanced the ambiance. So, before all my guests came into my wedding reception area, my husband and I were able to take a peak at the space. The OCLA team came up to me to make sure I was happy with the colors I chose and were very tactful to make suggestions. I gladly trusted their insight and it turned out perfectly! I am not one to initially been receptive to extra lighting, but now looking back at my video and pictures, it was a wonderful decision. It amplified the already lovely venue appeal without breaking too much into my wallet. They were such a great group to work with. Payment was easy as well! I couldnt have asked for a better group to have done my lighting. Completely satisfied! I would use and refer them to anyone anytime!

    My husband and I got married in August 2014 in San Clemente and worked with OCLA for lighting, decor, and a number of rentals for our medium/large sized wedding. We were referred to OCLA by chance and are so thrilled we called and worked with them! John, his team and partners are extremely professional, have a wide range of experience with different events and different cultural weddings (we had an Indian/fusion one), have a large stock of rentals, linens, furniture and fantastic/competitive lighting. They also offer great value while delivering high quality results. John and his team were the first to arrive and last to leave, but they are so smooth you barely even realise they are there!

    When you meet John, from OCLA, you feel like you are working with a friend and someone who genuinely cares. He worked so well with my parents (who helped a lot with planning) and was very responsive, patient, and generous with his time. He and his team also gave great advise on how to optimise the look and feel of our venue (both outdoors & indoors) and make the best use of our space. I can confidently recommend working with OCLA -- my only regret is that we didn't begin working with him sooner in the process!

    OCLA Events and John are a pleasure to work with. They are considerate to your needs and will do their best to make your event a success.

    Before, during, and after the event, John and OCLA Events were extremely professional and accommodating. We hosted our annual tasting benefit, Plate by Plate, at the Petersen Auto Museum that hosted about 800 people. John helped us with all the rental furniture, setting up our VIP area, and assisting us in electrical. His team helped setup and teardown in a very timely manner.

    Would highly recommend John and OCLA, and we will be working with them again and again in the future.

    Where do I start? I remember calling John about a month and a half before my wedding. I had been trying to find a decor company that could give a special touch to my wedding. I either was told I had to spend a minimum or they couldn't meet with me until 2-3 weeks out. When I called John and told him my problems, he was so happy to help me. We set up an appointment right away at my venue location! He was extremely professional. I thought I was going to come in and just tell him what I wanted, but instead gave me great suggestions and gave me his expert opinion. I had a walk through with another company and all they wanted to do was what they wanted and what will work for them. I did not feel this was with John at all. He immediately saw my vision and quickly put a quote together for me. We had another meeting at their warehouse and they spent a good amount of time going over all my options. I changed my mind about color and different decor furniture, and John was always there ready with another quote. John even helped me out the day before the wedding when I had a root canal and couldn't go shopping for the candy bar items. A quote was quickly put together for me to rent cupcake stands, trays etc. Unlike other vendors that were asking for their money as soon as I arrived, John not once asked me about money instead told me just send me a check. A bride doesn't have time to think about payments or money on one of their most important day of their lives and John made sure I felt no stress. When I arrived everything was ready to go. The ceremony area looked beautiful and the inside decor was everything I had envisioned. Thank you to you John and your team for an amazing job!!! I am already referring my friends and family to OCLA Events!!!

    John and his company made our wedding a momentous occasion. We had to decorate and light and old house and he did it perfectly with a can do attitude. We were never worried for a moment. He understood what we wanted and executed flawlessly for a very reasonable price that was below all the competitors.
    He was so good, my brother ended up using him for his wedding as well!

    John was just a pleasure to work with. The lighting was breathtaking and just what my teenager imagined. John was prompt and easy to contact if I had any questions. I called a few other places and OCLA events had by far the best prices. I highly recommend them and will be using them again!
