I love wedding cakes and cake decorating in general, so I was super excited to look for a baker/bakery for my wedding. I reviewed TONS of photos and reviews from different places and was generally disappointed in the lack of variety shown. I know a white cake, with white piping, and flowers is classic, but it was just a little too vanilla (pardon the pun!) for my taste. I was so happy when I landed upon Lori's Custom Cakes. Her work was different and stunning!
I contacted her about a cake tasting and got a quick response. She actually delivered it to our house and it did not disappoint! Not only was there a lot of cake to taste (no one sided teeny slices), but it was all delicious. The only issue we had was when we requested a quote, she struggled to get one to us, missing several self-imposed deadlines. Luckily, we were still several months out from our wedding date, so it wasn't desperate. The quote was VERY reasonable and we went ahead and booked.
While I never saw Lori on the big day, the cake turned out INCREDIBLE and was every bit as delicious as the tasting. We will definitely be getting a cake from her next year for our one year anniversary!

Do not recommend this vendor
Cake did not look like reference photos despite being assured she had and could do the style requested. No response to inquiry .
We used Lori for our wedding cake and were unfortunately very disappointed. Her photos online looked great and she said she had experience with our preferred style so perhaps it was outsourced. The cake we received did not match our expectations at all. We asked for a pallet knife design (blue/green) on a chocolate raspberry cake. Her quote for a two tier was ~20% more expensive than other bakers but because she said she had experience we went with her. I had sent two emails a week before the event asking for confirmation she was still okay to make it, provided lists of flowers we were using for the wedding, color scheme and multiple reference photos. The cake itself was just fine, though the buttermilk was extremely thick. I wish I could ask for a refund, but the main takeaway would be that ask for examples of her previous work before confirming because what we received was fine, but not what we had asked for -
