  Brian gave us the BEST ceremony we could have asked for.

  Finding a wedding officiant was one of the last items I checked off our wedding to-do list, even though I knew I should have focused on it a lot sooner. I think I procrastinated in part because I myself wasn't really sure what I (we) wanted during our ceremony. My family and I are religious, but my fiance (now husband) and his family are not. I grew up attending weddings mostly in churches, officiated by pastors, some of whom *almost* seemed to preach sermons rather than present a program for a wedding. We definitely wanted a ceremony that we both would be comfortable with, and that both our families would appreciate. Fortunately, we found exactly that in Brian Lyke! Brian was recommended to us by our venue coordinator, and after looking through his website and reading the amazing reviews, we knew we had to contact him. I was a little nervous not knowing what to expect, but our email correspondence and first conversation over the phone were a wonderful experience. Brian was warm and friendly, listened carefully to our stories and ideas. He asked pertinent questions that would help frame our ceremony, and provided examples for us to look over and a collection of readings we could select from. He responded quickly and graciously to the numerous messages I sent him afterward as more questions arose. The ceremony Brian performed on our wedding day was brilliant-- he really listened and creatively incorporated elements of our stories (how we met, how we got engaged, etc) into his thoughts on marriage. He skillfully and thoughtfully highlighted what it means to be partners for life, in ways that pertained not only to us as newlyweds, but applicable also to already-married couples no matter how long or short they've been together. Brian's words were deep, but also lighthearted; serious, but also with wholesome humor that made us all laugh. My mother and several of my friends and family came up to us after the ceremony (even days afterward) just to comment on how much they truly enjoyed and appreciated Brian's words. To be honest, I don't think it's very often that friends/family comment on something like that--usually the compliments center more around the wedding dress, decorations, food, etc.--so that is even more testimony to how special, heartfelt, and memorable of an event Brian helped to create. In my & my husband's opinion, Brian gave us the perfect ceremony. We are so thankful and blessed.

  Brian Lyke - Unbelievable Officiant

  We had the pleasure of working with Brian Lyke for our wedding. He was incredibly attentive and made sure that when we got up on the altar the day of our wedding, we had a service that was fitting for us and our backgrounds. He came to our house long before the wedding to hear our story and discuss our preferences, which was very helpful and reassured us that we were working with someone we could trust to show up for us. Would absolutely recommend working with him.

  Brian was Amazing!!!!

  Brian did the most beautiful job. The words he strung together to really capture our love are something that you won’t get anywhere else. The ceremony was truly the highlight of our day and friends and family cant stop talking about how wonderful Brian did.

  Our experience with Brian was amazing from start to finish!

  Brian was truly amazing from start to finish. We found him online on our search, to then realize he is a client at our job! We already knew him, which was even better. He was so professional, easy going, and truly such a kind person. His service was phenomenal, and everybody loved him. We are so grateful to have found him!

  Highly Recommend Brian Lyke!

  I am so happy with our choice to have Brian Lyke as the officiant for our wedding. He was so awesome the whole step of the way from the phone interviews, rehearsal, and wedding. He wrote / spoke the most amazing words for our wedding. We got so many compliments on the ceremony. It was a beautiful combination of laughs, wise words, spirituality, and inspiration. I highly recommend going with him for your wedding!

Brian did a great job of mixing religious and non-religious elements into the ceremony, which is what we were looking for. We would highly recommend Brian to anyone in the Monterey/Carmel area looking for an officiant.

  Brian provided with us an incredibly personal and potent ceremony on the cliffs of Big Sur. He chose the location and couldn't have picked a more beautiful spot. He was responsive and fast to deliver any and all details we needed, along with his quick delivery of the important paperwork. I highly recommend Brian for any and all ceremonies of love. His demeanor and cadence were beautiful.

  Brian set the tone with our ceremony

  We loved working with Brian. He was so helpful and responsive throughout the entire process, crafting a beautiful ceremony. My husband and I grew up religious however now we are more spiritual, working with Brian was perfect because he built a ceremony that was a reflection of us.   I can't say enough good things about Brian & how incredible he was as the officiant for our wedding. His words & energy represented both my husband and I (and our families) so well. It was an emotional, thoughtful, reflective and at times funny ceremony and he orchestrated all of it with such ease. He was also such a calming presence for me (the bride) during the ceremony which was a bonus! Multiple wedding guests mentioned how much they enjoyed the ceremony and particularly how great of a job Brian did. Thank you, Brian!!

  Brian officiated our very intimate beach wedding last week and he was AMAZING! He is so incredibly organized and professional. We had several interactions with him via phone conversations and he was always so pleasant. The day came, he was on time and had our vows that we wrote all ready for us on professional cards and then those we for us to keep. We couldn’t have asked for a better man to officiate our wedding. He also recommended a wonderful photographer that we used. Brian is absolutely the best man for your wedding.

  My husband and I had a great experience with Brian! He was very flexible when we unexpectedly had to change our ceremony time and location, and he wrote us a beautiful ceremony speech that he gave us a copy of to keep and look back on forever.   The Perfect Find!

  We were looking for someone with many years of experience who could provide the basic structure of our ceremony, remain flexible to our personal wishes, respectfully acknowledge the presence of God/higher spirit or power and understand the personal circumstances of our meeting, rings, etc. Brian at Life Celebrations was all that and more!!

  Brian is an amazing officiant. We loved our ceremony and were so happy to have him be a part of our day. He is very responsive and easy to communicate with, and the way he conducted our ceremony really reflected the love my husband and I have for each other. We highly recommend using Brian to officiate your wedding!

  Heartfelt Ceremony

  Brian was everything he said he would be, and more! Kind, organized, punctual and professional! Due to the pandemic we only spoke via phone and over email yet he personalized the ceremony in a way as if we'd known him for many years. Our ceremony was sweet yet traditional and so meaningful. His experience shows as everything went so smoothly with his guidance from the rehearsal through the ceremony. Our guests kept complimenting how thoughtful and heartfelt the ceremony was which is exactly what we wanted. We highly recommend him! Thank you Brian!

  Absolute pleasure working with him the entire way through! He was attentive and accommodating. From helping a family of 5 including a baby with a sand ceremony, making everyone smile with the perfect words at every turn to making a very non-emotional bride tears of joy. Definitely wish I could be a repeat customer of his! Highly recommend him for anyone who would love an amazing ceremony!!!
