  We had so much fun running around the venue taking pictures with Jon. My fiancé is not one who likes having his picture taken and I knew this was going to be a challenge but after speaking to Jon for 5 minutes, he declaredz: this guys is awesome and he gets us! And he totally did. It felt like we had been friends with Jon for years. He worked so crazy hard to capture every little moment between us and then managed to wrangle our 20+ person family to get all the different configurations of portraits we requested. And all this in 90 degree heat! He totally exceeded my expectations! Thank you so much Jon!

  Jon should be everything a couple is looking for in a wedding photographer. His photos are beautiful, thoughtful, and really capture emotions. He is also a very sweet down to earth person who will go the extra mile to make sure he gets all the shots and finds so many creative and interesting set ups no matter where you are. Our engagement photos came out flawlessly - from the waterfront in Williamsburg to the NYC Subway - he even made that look pretty! We just got our wedding photos back and I am not surprised that we are totally in love with them. He was extremely professional, organized, and thorough in working with his second shooter. We are forever grateful for his photos and clearly recommend him to everyone!

  We loved Jon so much! We had a great time getting comfortable with him at our engagement shoot, which was part of our package. We loved the photos and the shots he captured. Our wedding day was a bit hectic with some schedule changes and having to endure some serious humidity, yet Jon was cool as a cucumber and we received such great compliments from our guests and members of the bridal party about what a calming force he was. Even though our picture time was cut short due to the schedule Jon made sure we were able to capture all the shots we wanted and he was quick to come up with back up plans for alternate locations. When we received our pictures my husband and I were so happy with how many quality pictures there were. Jon was our favorite vendor by far and so happy we found him. He has a great eye for detail knew exactly what we were looking for, and if you are not the traditional couple and in search for that unique photographer in the New York City area, Jon is you guy!

  It’s hard to know where to start with this review because my husband and I could not have been happier with Jon Rivera and everything he did!
  
  First, his pictures are absolutely gorgeous and made our wedding day look even more beautiful than we could have imagined. Second, he is just a pleasure to work with — so friendly, so easy, so professional, so organized. We were especially impressed with all the work he did leading up to the wedding. he's definitely not a vendor who stands back and wings it!
  
  We felt totally at ease with Jon and knew that every moment would be captured perfectly. And it was!

  Jon was a dream to work with! He is laid back and fun, while still being incredibly professional and hardworking. His wealth of knowledge about photography and his skill at directing us put me totally at ease on our wedding day. As a bride, I was worried about handling all of the stress. But once Jon started working, I knew I had nothing to worry about! It was obvious he would get all of the shots that I wanted, and more that I didn't even know I wanted! I highly recommend Jon to any couple that wants beautiful, creative images from their important day. Thank you so much Jon!!!

  Jon did an incredible job capturing every moment of our destination wedding in Mexico. Not only does he have a friendly, easy-going demeanor, but he also has a great eye for the perfect photo. We received hundreds of amazing pictures that turned out better than we could have imagined. Thank you, Jon!

  Jon captured not only the images of our friends and family, but the spirit of our day. He was on board to shoot anywhere we wanted and had great ideas for unique shots. His photos really tell a story, which was very important to us. In addition, he was fun to work with, responsive and responsible, and made us feel really relaxed which comes through in the photos - We couldn't recommend him more highly! Tom and Alex

  We had a destination wedding to Hawaii. We live in California and Jona images is in NY, NY. The business conducted long distance was always professional and quick. Jon always reassured to me and my husband that he would capture every moment, he did that and more! Jon was calm and professional the entire event. His imagination was perfect and I understood what he was tryin to capture. When we got a sneak peek at some of the photos that week, we were so excited for what to come!! Pure beauty!! I loved my wedding pictures, so did my husband and family. I would high recommend Jona images to everyone!! He did the job and way betond. Thank you!!

  Working with Jon was better than I could have imagined. He took the most beautiful photos of our wedding. He definitely treats photography like a passion vs a job. He was incredible at finding the right angles, moments and lighting to ensure our memories are captured in the most beautiful way.
  
  I would highly recommend him for any events you would want photographed.

  A friend of ours, also a professional photographer, referred Jon to us. From our first exchange, I knew that he was our man! Before and during the contracting process, he answered my every question promptly, thoroughly, and in a straightforward fashion. As we were planning, Jon was hands-on and collaborative. Not only did we work out a detailed photography timeline and a "top shots" list, but also he took the time to scope out shooting locations with us. We purchased an engagement session and eight hours of photography with Jon and an assistant. The engagement session (which I would highly recommend doing) gave us a great sense of how we would photograph best, and how we would work with Jon. Moreover, the results were outstanding and perfectly in line with the samples that he had shared. On our wedding day, Jon was ideally present and invisible. As a testament to this, he was with me as I was getting ready, and I was 100% at ease with him during these precious, intimate hours with my bridal party and our moms. Not only did we have a great experience, but also Jon's pricing was extremely competitive. As for constructive criticism, I can only summon one remark. Jon's assistant photographer was not as skilled as he. But, to her credit, Jon is a true artist. And, she, nonetheless, snapped a handful of hallmark images in our collection. This should in no way diminish my overall, A+ review. In the end, we have more favorite pics than we can fit in an album, and Jon was a great partner for us. We would certainly recommend him. In fact, we already have!
