Jodee took our engagement photos and was our photographer for our wedding day. We knew from the very start that Jodee was warm, professional, talented, experienced, enthusiastic, and fun. It's SO important to form a strong rapport with your wedding photographer so everything comes out looking natural and how you imagined it, and that rapport with Jodee felt more like a friendship we'd had for years. Not only was Jodee open to feedback from the very beginning on how we wanted our photos to look, she also taught us so much about how to capture the perfect shot... always an expert, but the shoots were fun and felt natural. On the wedding day she was not intrusive at all and worked with us (and our other vendors!) ahead of time to make sure the day went smoothly. Jodee actually picked up the slack of other vendors and felt like a personal assistant on our wedding day, always there with a bobby pin and so much other practical and emotional support. She even fixed my wife's dress when it was caught on a plant during part of the shoot! We feel like Jodee's part of the family now, and my wife is frequently saying things like "we can work with Jodee for it!" all the time. See you at the Bar Mitzvahs, Jodee. Thank you, thank you, thank you, for everything! If you're considering Jodee and her team for your event, don't hesitate. -

Jodee and her team are exactly who you'd want as your photographer(s)!
We shot our engagement shoot and wedding with Jodee Debes and her team and it was absolutely amazing. We heard from our wedding guests, "Your photographers were so calm, relaxed and fun, while still staying mindful of time. We felt so rushed by our photographer on our wedding day!"

Easily the best experience with a photographer my husband and I could ask for! I met Jodee while working a wedding in Northern California and she instantly caught my eye! Her vibrant and outgoing personality really shined and I loved seeing her relationship with the couple who was getting married at the time. A couple months later my fiancé popped the big question and my search for the perfect photographer was a no brainer. I knew I loved Jodee’s style and personality. It was an easy decision to hire her for our big day. The package we chose with Jodee involved an amazing engagement shoot in Yosemite National Park. My fiancé and I love to hike and it was the perfect location to showcase our adventurous side. Jodee was totally onboard and even with her fear of heights (lol) she ended up with the most amazing photos we could ask for. Did I mention this was all in the midst of 2020 Covid. She was super helpful throughout every step to help make sure we got exactly what we wanted.
As we pushed through a postponement and what felt like the world's longest engagement Colton and I got married on July 16, 2022. The big day arrived and when Jodee arrived I already felt her loving energy enter the room. Throughout our whole wedding day Jodee truly shined along with her amazing assistant Kelly :) They were running around directing us to get every perfect shot! You have to also love Jodee with her Texas hospitality of “y’all” are so cute!! They checked in with us constantly to make sure we felt all needs were met and let me tell you when those sneak peaks came in… I teared up instantly. Those photos could be in a magazine with how beautiful they turned out. I wanted to get every single one printed. Not to mention we just received the full gallery and I do not know how we are going to choose. All my love for Jodee and her growing skills in photography. Thank you for helping capture a lifetime of memories that can be shared with family & friends. Your talents truly blow me away and in the future I would whole heartily choose her again for any event. Love you dearly -

I can't tell you how happy I am that we had Jodee as our wedding photographer! She is exactly who you want to be around you on your big day. She has the most calming presence and is so so much fun to be around, you can't help but smile! She makes everyone feel so comfortable and knows how to get the group loosened up and having fun. My single bridesmaids all told me that they want Jodee to do their future weddings because she really is the best. She also takes AMAZING pictures that truly capture those special moments of your day. She sends so many perfect "preview teasers" and then continues to top herself with the full gallery , which was absolutely incredible. Jodee is the best and will make sure your wedding day and pictures are perfect!! -

Jodee was amazing. From our initial call to the day of and every step in between she really made it fun and special. She isn’t afraid to get in the action just to get the shot! She is extremely friendly and punctual and overall a great person. She got along with all of the different personalities that make up an family and wedding party.
She was super accommodating of our unique wedding and allowed me to trade our engagement shoot for our rehearsal dinner/Indian ceremony and then was back at it again shooting our western wedding.
I can honestly say I felt comfortable with her in my personal space and that isn’t something I like generally let alone with a stranger. I would hire her again in a heart beat. -

You can stop searching for a photographer now – just book Jodee! She is absolutely amazing and we are SO grateful we had her as our engagement and wedding photographer. She captured so many special, candid moments and was such a joy to be with on our wedding day. Her energy is exactly what you want on your big day – effervescent, friendly, positive.. but also assertive and will do what she needs to get the best shot. She was a pro at organizing our families and took control, so we could just enjoy the moment. We have such wonderful memories from that day, and our photos really bring those memories to life. I love her photojournalism style – even the staged photos felt natural and effortless. I wish we could get married all over again just so that Jodee could photograph it! Thank you, Jodee!! -

Absolutely amazing!!
Jodee's work was absolutely breathtaking. I could not imagine having anyone else capture our big day. She makes you feel so at ease and has so much positive energy. My husband and I are both camera shy, but with her you don't even notice you're being photographed. We received a preview of our photos so quickly, we were still on our honeymoon! I love every single one and would recommend her work to anyone! Thank you so much Jodee!! -

Taking on Jodee Debes and her photography team has been the best decision I have made in the wedding planning process so far, and the wedding is still a year away!
From the very beginning, my fiancee, Nick and I, felt so comfortable with Jodee, and were blown away by the quality an authenticity of her wedding galleries. She is bubbly, outgoing and we just knew we had to have her services for our wedding day. A huge bonus was that for many and I believe even all of her wedding packages, a complimentary 2 hour engagement session is included. We were so excited about this because it would give us a chance to 1)celebrate our engagement with professional photos and 2) get to know our photographer before the wedding!
I had to post a review to share how much we LOVE our engagement photos and how excited we are to have Jodee and her assistant, Oksana, both on our photography team. We couldn't be more excited for our wedding. In the meantime, we have constantly been looking through our engagement photos and finding new favorites every time. The way Oksana was able to capture us as a couple makes me SO happy and so grateful for the opportunity to work with you both. Jodee's editing skill and attention to detail is at the top of her profession!
We can't stop sharing our photos online and with our friends and family, who love them just as much!

Simply put, Jodee is amazing! She not only is an incredibly talented photographer, but her aura and personality make her an absolute must for your wedding and any events surrounding it. She’s positive and patient, makes sure every detail is well thought and covered, puts everyone she’s photographing (Think grandma to the very last guests) at ease, and the final product is stunning. When selecting a photographer, we wanted a person who brought a great vibe and energy (You spend a lot of time with this person!), who took the time to capture great portraits, but who also had an eye for candid moments throughout the celebration. Jodee delivered and then some. It brings us so much joy to look back at the photos – everything is there, from our family shots to the moments we didn’t get to personally witness amid a 100-person celebration. We are so thrilled with everything she did for our wedding (Engagement, bridal shower and ceremony/reception) that we hope she’ll be available to document many more of our life celebrations and adventures.

Above and beyond!
Jodee and her team are amazing. I asked Jodee if she’d be available to photograph my impromptu Covid backyard wedding in less than 4 weeks, already anticipating she’d be booked, but still holding on to hope. As I expected, she was booked but she quickly arranged for her second shooter to come to the event and take the most amazing photos! They turned out better than I could have even imagined and I received the final photos in record speed. Now I just need more life events for Jodee and her rock star team to document. -

I am so grateful to have had Jodee as our wedding photographer. Her photos speak for themselves--they're priceless, beautiful, detailed, everything you want and didn't know you want. What also comes through the in her photos is how wonderful she is to work with. Our wedding was supposed to happen at the start of COVID. Not only was Jodee flexible, but she did everything to help us feel supported. She did more than we could have asked for. She showed up (early!) at our rescheduled date, knew every person's name, worked with the other vendors so well I checked to see if she knew them (she never met them--just that personable). Jodee's energy never wavered and knew exactly what to do and say to get the right photo. She also got the previews and all the photos to us right away, which I was so grateful for! Honestly, I would work with with her for any photo-related thing in a heartbeat! -

Having Jodee photograph our wedding was the best decision we could have made.
I had found Jodee scouring wedding websites right after my husband and I got engaged. As most newly engaged couples might agree - beginning the planning, hiring and booking process for the big day is no small task. There are so many amazing vendors out there, beautifully designed websites with eye-catching wedding inspo - it can all feel extremely overwhelming. I reached out to Jodee through her homepage, we exchanged emails and scheduled an introductory phone call. From that initial call I knew I had met someone truly spectacular. She was friendly, professional, well-spoken, informative, not pushy and really just a lovely person to communicate with. We booked Jodee within the week and scheduled our engagement photoshoot.
All of her documents, paperwork, contracts and payment methods were online which made the hiring process crystal clear. We knew exactly what we had signed up for, what to expect, and she even sent guidelines and photo inspiration for what to wear for our engagement photoshoot. Upon meeting Jodee in person my husband and I were thrilled to have found her. She went above and beyond making us feel relaxed and natural during our first day together (which is no easy thing to do). Being in front of a camera is a really odd experience - but Jodee made it feel like we had both been modeling our entire lives. We also asked a lot of her when we chose 3 separate locations for the shoot, all 3 of which she commuted to for us. She boarded our sailboat for a cruise to the SB wharf and afterwards got in a wetsuit to shoot us surfing at Leadbetter. I have the fondest memories of that day all thanks to Jodee.
Jodee is creative, professional, kind, funny, well spoken, energetic - and a very intuitive/unique photographer. Her eye for artistic angles/light/backgrounds is something that cannot be taught. After the engagement shoot she was prompt in editing and sending us our images - and we could not wait for the wedding day because we both knew we were in the best hands.
Jodee helped make my husband and I both feel at ease on our big day when she chose a knowledgable second shooter to follow the boys and met with me and the bride tribe day of. She caught intimate moments without intruding, had my dad laughing and our families both complimenting what a light she was the entire day. The wedding day is such a whirlwind experience, Jodee was our rock. We have memories to cherish for our lifetime thanks to her.
It is difficult to put into words how special she is. I would recommend Jodee all day everyday - and can confidently say that had Jodee not been our photographer our day would not have been as magical as it was. She is natural friend, intelligent artist and brilliant human. Her attention to detail and ability to put everyone around her at ease can be seen and felt in all the beautiful images she has captured. -

If you're looking for a wedding photography, look no further! My husband and I could not speak more highly of Jodee and her expertise in taking beautiful photos. In addition to producing amazing pictures, Jodee was simply a delight to be around during our pre-wedding shoots and wedding day. Of all the vendor, she had the most "tech savvy" platform and it was easy to navigate communication, costs, package deals, add-on, etc. All around wonderful experience and would definitely hire her again! -

Wow! I am truly thrilled to be sitting here writing this amazing review for Jodee. Where do I even begin? I met Jodee while working at a wedding and her personality just blew me away. On the day of the event we were working she was all smiles and nothing but her being the sweetest person ever! When it came time to make the big decision of who I wanted to be, my wedding photographer Jodee instantly came to mind. I loved her style of photography true to color and she captures those moments you will cherish forever. As my fiance and I are officially a year out from our wedding I wanted to take our engagement photos somewhere magical. I called Jodee and let her know that we were thinking of Yosemite National Park. Jodee was nothing but excited to shoot in this location and this is when all the fun began. Let me just tell you Jodee is great at reaching out and keeping in contact with you for all your needs. When it came time to booking our reservation at Yosemite Jodee handled everything from making the reservation to finding out all info regarding parking and food and locations. This task was not easy given the circumstances currently during COVID Yosemite has changed their rules currently and it was a much different process to go to the park unlike in the past. Jodee was quick to jump on the computer and read about everything we needed to make this trip successful. She had a whole schedule that made our time there truly memorable. I can truly say that when we arrived it felt like everything was normal again and we were amongst nature and we felt free. When the big day came Jodee showed up early and scouted the area before we got there to find the best possible areas for our shoot! We had planned for one whole day of shooting till sunset and a beautiful sunrise shoot too. Jodee was game for everything! We had four outfit changes and several different locations for our photoshoot from Taft Point, Glacier Point, and El Capitan Meadow just to name a few. Each location was more magical than the other. Did I mention how easy it was to feel comfortable around Jodee too? It felt so seamless and easy we never felt like we were posed or uncomfortable she also knows the tricks to make you laugh. During that time it was so great to get to know more about here and her career and how she got started in photography. I am so grateful that I found Jodee and after our engagement shoot I am only more excited to see what magical photos she captures on our wedding day. I cannot stress enough how amazing this woman is. She will go above and beyond to make sure you’re the happiest person on your special day. Thank you Jodee from the bottom of my heart I cannot wait to book you again for all our future adventures. A Joy to Work With
Jodee is the light your wedding needs. She is the most lovely upbeat and talented person. She will make you feel relaxed and beautiful and your experience with her will be so much fun.
Jodee was recommended to me by a friend who knew her personally and chose her to photograph her own wedding. Jodee was the first decision I made in my wedding planning journey (it was a no brainer after seeing her beautiful work and instantly loving her personality when we chatted over FaceTime), and she became patient zero for my whole vendor team. She recommended my incredible planner Christine Garrison and gave me so many other great tips along the way.
My (now) husband and I ended up using Jodee for our engagement shoot in New York and our wedding in the SF Bay Area.
Jodee brought so much creativity and positive energy to both experiences, she was an absolute joy to work with and generally to be around. Her photography style is very natural so she’ll come up with infinite creative ways to make sure you are comfortable and she is capturing genuine moments. She will read your chemistry and style and feed you prompts to ensure that the intimacy and happiness reflected in the photos is organic, spontaneous, and real.
She’s also efficient and intuitive. She’ll do her homework to make sure she’s checking off all the must have boxes for your event but she’ll also pull you and your partner away when she senses you’re overwhelmed or might want a moment just the two of you.
More than anything, Jodee is just fun to be around. My husband and I found ourselves disappointed when it was time for her to leave, not because we needed more photos, but because she’s just good company and brings great energy to the party.
I cannot recommend Jodee enough. She is so great and our photos (which we already had just 2 days later!) are GORGEOUS. -

And beyond that, she is an absolute ROCKSTAR and wonder to be around - I honestly have no idea how I would have survived without her on my wedding day!!! Her talent speaks for itself but she brings such a fantastic energy that goes so far beyond how wonderful she is as a professional. JODEE IS AMAZING!
