Janet is fantastic and providing options with transparency on pricing. I am so glad I trusted her with altering my dresses. She was easy to schedule and made sure you were satisfied with the end results. I had Janet alter my wedding dress and hem a few other gowns and every single fitting was so enjoyable. Janet always made me feel like the most beautiful person in the world and knew everything there was to know about my wedding dress alterations. I not only had Janet make alterations for my dress but I also had her make removable sleeves and a custom veil! They all turned out exactly as I envisioned and I can't tell you how highly I recommend Janet.Janet Kirkman Bridal Alterations's reply:

I cannot say enough incredible things about Janet. She took my dress and truly transformed it to me. She made my dress fit me like a glove, and provided her expert opinions regarding how to achieve the best fit. I also had Janet do some slight bridal redesign to the skirt of my dress and she turned it into the dress of my dreams. Janet has such a kind personality and takes such pride in her work. Janet also made me a custom veil and a garter using scraps from my wedding dress. Her pricing was also completely reasonable and fair for the high quality work that she provides. Janet has such a gift and provided me with confidence, and peace of mind. I cannot recommend her moreJanet Kirkman Bridal Alterations's reply:

Amazing Alterations!
Janet was incredible with my bridal alterations! She has such a vision for what she does and is so professional. She was recommended by Luv Bridal where I bought my wedding dress and she is the only person a bride/bridesmaid should go for alterations! I tried on the dress and knew a few things that I needed altered but she gave feedback and suggested other alterations that were needed as well. I had my dress length shortened a bit, had to have a bustle made for the dress to pin up for the reception, and then had to tighten the bust area to fit more tightly. Janet's vision and creativity is amazing. My dress had no bustle at all and she went through with my mom and I and showed up the various ways she can create a bustle for my dress. It was nice seeing those options as I wanted to still show off the dress with it bustled. The other area that I really wanted to change in my dress was the neckline. My dress is a strapless sweetheart with a see through chiffon piece in between the sweetheart neckline. I wasn't thrilled with the see through piece and wanted something with depth and design. I had seen another wedding dress with multiple layers in between the sweetheart neckline and was hoping Janet could do something similar. She said she was able to do it and worked with me on how many layers I wanted and worked with me until I loved what I saw. What made this even more special was that my mom gave me her wedding veil to use for this new neckline. I was going to wear her veil but it didn't go with my dress so she wanted me to use it instead on my dress and it worked perfectly with this idea. Janet did an incredible job creating this new neckline and using my mom's veil to do so. On my 3rd appointment with the finished product, I was blown away. The dress looked better than I imagined and truly was one of a kind. Janet also keeps all the pieces of dress that she trims off for alterations that can be used later. She also has lingerie that she sells and she can put the pieces of material on a piece of lingerie or a robe. I had her create my garter for my husband with a piece of my extra dress material and that even turned out amazing. Overall, she was amazing to work with and price wise was very reasonable. My friend recommended Janet and I'm glad she did. It was a pleasure working with Janet on alterations for my wedding dress. I had to get multiple alterations including hemming multiple layers of tulle, adding a petticoat, and altering the shape of my sleeves (made of delicate material and lined with rhinestones). Everything turned out PERFECTLY and beautifully. Dress of my dreams! Janet was super friendly and professional, and was happy to schedule multiple fittings until it was perfect. She also made a custom veil using some extra lace flowers removed from my dress. I ended up wearing that way after the ceremony because it went with the dress so well! Thanks, Janet! -

Amy Sent on 06/27/2018Janet is amazing! I was super nervous to get my dress altered - trusting something with such an important thing is hard but Janet definitely knows what she’s doing! There was a weird wrinkle happening in my dress from how it was made and she worked and worked to get it out! She also made a custom blusher piece for me that turned out amazing! My dress was perfect the day of and I was comfortable all night long. You can definitely trust her professional advice and her pricing is very reasonable as well.

Chelsea Sent on 03/26/2017My bridal Salon Luv Bridal recommended me to Janet and I can totally see why she is on their preferred vendor list. I met with Janet a total of three different times in regards to my dress alterations. She never once pushed me to do something and let me take my time on decisions. I am the most indecisive person sometimes and she never once got annoyed or tried to push me into making a decision because I was taking too much time.
The day of my wedding we had several issues and not once was I worried about my dress or uncomfortable in it. Thank you Janet for your patience and for making my dress the perfect fit. :)

I went to her 3 or 4 times throughout the days leading up to my wedding to have adjustments made to the dress to make sure that everything fit perfectly. We even met two weeks before the wedding and she was able to make some last minute adjustments. She has an eye for the perfect fit. She helped train my made of honor how to bustle my train as well. She also designed a beautiful cathedral length veil for me that matched the style of dress I wore. She is super responsive, kind and helpful throughout the whole process. We were so glad she got recommended to us! -

Took it in, made the back lower and made a beautiful bustle. I am so happy I chose her. She is such a sweet person and so easy to work with. I will continue to take clothes to her. :)

User1205744 Sent on 06/18/2013Janet did an incredible job on my dress. I bought two inexpensive dresses from BHLDN and Janet worked with me to use all that fabric to create my dream dress. She gives prudent advice and considers the limitations of the fabric, so she'll be honest with you about what you can and cannot do. That said, she found a creative solution to every roadblock we ran into and my dress turned out exactly as I had pictured it. I got tons of compliments and it was so versatile and comfortable the whole night! After all the hours that Janet put in and the multiple consultations, the final bill was VERY affordable.
