Great venue, but they will nickel and dime you.
The Hyatt Regency is a beautiful venue. The staircase in the hotel where we took pictures came out amazing. However, we did have some behind the scenes mishaps before our wedding. The week of the wedding I received an email for a $150.00 cake cutting fee and was also told by my band that I owed the Hyatt $500.00 for there power supply that they needed the night of the band. The sales manager at the Hyatt NEVER made me aware of a fee for the band. She told me that she made this correction and waived the band fee and the cake cutting fee, although the day of our wedding I received an email saying I owed money for the cake cutting fee. I was also told I was receiving a complimentary bottle of champagne the day of the wedding and my bridesmaids had to call for it a couple of times before it arrived. The night of our reception, we were introduced to a woman who we were told would be handling our drinks for us for the entire night. We did not see her at our reception and my husband had to go to the bar during our reception for our drinks. Also, I asked for to go food for us after our reception and was told by the sales manager that they could accommodate us and it was not a problem. We had food in our room after our reception, HOWEVER, we were not aware that they were going to charge us for those meals.. since we did just pay 23,000 for the venue which included food and alcohol. The amount of money you pay for the venue, you would think you would be treated with a little more respect. Although our venue was beautiful, the Hyatt will nickel and dime you. Be careful.
