  Kim was an absolute joy to work with. One of the things I most enjoyed about the wedding planning process was getting to know talented, inspiring female business owners in the Cleveland area, and Kim was no exception. We ended up going with a salted caramel and chocolate cake and a lemon cake with lime and raspberry filling--something I never would have thought of on my own but was exactly what we wanted. I feel like we got something so special and unique with Kim! Her caramels were great for the hotel gift bags too!

  Kim was an absolute joy to work with.   Kim Coryea's work is gorgeous and delicious. Kim did our wedding cake as well as our groom's cake. She really took the time to make sure she understood the design we wanted. We went with a very understated, elegant look and she captured it perfectly. I wanted to surprise my husband with the groom's cake and boy, did we! Kim created a cake that was so real looking, even I didn't realize it was his cake at first! And to top it all off, she used one of his mom's recipes for the cake flavor, which he loved. You can tell Kim treats her profession like a craft.

  I'm not really sure how I discovered Kim and Hummingbird Bake Shop. She even asked me how I heard about her and I couldn't remember how I stumbled across her page. I'm not sure how to put this more clearly than stating that her cakes are quite literally the best cakes we had ever tasted. I'm not even specifying that they are the best wedding cakes. They're just in general the best cakes we have ever tasted. She uses super fresh ingredients, local when she can, which surely make a big difference with the finished product. Kim does all of her work out of her home which initially made me hesitant however when we met with her to go through a tasting session we were immediately smitten. We wanted our wedding cake to be served family style with one cake on each table instead of one giant cake. Kim made and delivered 15 cakes (including our little 2 tiered cake for us to cut) in 2 different flavors that we chose. Each cake was decorated a little differently than the others. We felt that her amazing service and product were affordable and worth every single penny. The cakes looked absolutely gorgeous and tasted even sweeter than we had remembered! Thanks Kim!

  Kim was so wonderful to work with! She was patient and inventive as we worked to come up with a unique wedding cake alternative (ice cream sandwiches!) and she helped us stay on budget by letting us handle the ice cream purchase and delivery. I really loved Kim's sense of flavor - she had the most creative, unique flavor combination ideas for our little sammies! I trusted her so much that I asked her to surprise us on the flavor of our little cutting cake and she did not disappoint! I highly recommend Kim - she was so great to work with and really provides a superior product!

I looked into a few smaller bakeries, but wasn't finding much outside of the traditional wedding cake. Kim was recommended to us by someone I trusted and she was absolutely right about her – if you want a cake that TASTES as good as it looks, look no further. Kim worked with me in depth on the design, color, and aesthetics of the cake, and was great to collaborate with. She has great taste and I loved having her creative input. We also hired her to do a few small desserts and caramels for our dessert table and they were amazing. Our guests are still raving about the "best cake they ever had"!

  We were tired of the "normal" sugary wedding cake tastings, they all tasted the same. We were looking for a different wedding cake style, we wanted someone to design and create our cake based on us not just a picture we picked out in a book. I have to say being a picky person and spending so much time looking at vendors selecting Kim to do our wedding cake was such an easy choice for us. The cake is amazing, my husband now who hates cake in general ate all of the cake from the tasting. I knew we were sold based on the taste of the cake, but then how Kim takes the extra time to design the cake. It turned out beautiful, she hand painted one of the layers. She incorporated the leaves and flowers in our wedding in the hand painting and on the actual cake. We received so many compliments. I have also already used her for a birthday cake and we cannot wait to use her again in the future. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

  Kim is an absolute pleasure to work with. Her cakes are amazing and the options are endless. You can tell she is passionate about what she does. It was important to us to support local vendors and we couldn't be happier. Everyone LOVED the cake!!

  We met Kim at the Cleveland Bridal Bazaar. After tasting all the vanilla butter cake samples there (and then some, prior to the vent), we decided hers was the best and set up a tasting session. It was one of the best wedding decisions we made! Kim was an absolute pleasure. For the tasting session, she created a hazelnut flavored cake per our request, in addition to offering her other flavors. We ended up going with two different flavors altogether-- her specialty chocolate with sea salt caramel and hazelnut brittle, and lemon butter cake with lemon and strawberry cream. Sounds delicious, right? It was. Guests still come up to me almost a year later and comment that it's the best wedding cake they ever had. I completely agree. In fact, it is really unfair to classify her cake as wedding cake, because in reality, it's just really good cake.
  
  The cake was beautiful. We had a 3-tiered blush cake she designed based on a picture I found on Pinterest. I wanted a blush cake with understated lace, ribbon trim, and live flower accents. She nailed it. She delivered and set up the cake herself on my wedding day. I wasn't even there to direct her because of my busy schedule, but she understood my vision and set up the cake with beautiful baby's breath flowers underneath the cake pedestal. What thoughtful service!
  
  I was afraid that going with local vendors would mean overpriced cakes, but it simply was not true. Kim's prices are very reasonable, and the personalized service that we got was priceless. In fact, I found her prices to be much more reasonable than a lot of the more established sites that appear on these "Best Wedding Cake in Cleveland" lists. The portions are quite big as well.
  
  Kim is a lovely person. I don't usually write reviews at all, but I wanted to do this for her. I cannot recommend Kim more highly.

Kim worked with me to have the cake match the decor, and was so flexible to work with. It was a pleasure I'll repeat (and order a cake for each anniversary, too!)
