  Great Venue

  The Hilton had the most beautiful ballroom for my reception. Jessie was amazing to work with and planned everything so well. The food was delicious too. Highly recommend!

  Dream Wedding

  From our first meeting with Jessie, we knew we were in good hands and she did not disappoint! As with most 2020 brides, we had to postpone and our wedding finally took place on 5/1/21 and was nothing short of a dream! Everything went perfect and Jessie continued to go above and beyond with everything that came our way and made the wedding planning process so easy. Highly recommend the Hilton for anyone looking for a venue! The food was very good and the ballroom is so pretty, our cocktail hour was moved downstairs due to covid restrictions but I think that worked out even better, especially since the downstairs was also newly renovated. We choose to do a late night snack of sheet pizza, which people raved about even more than the dinner! Who doesn’t love late night pizza after drinking and dancing all night?! Again, I cannot recommend this venue or coordinator enough, our wedding turned out to be an absolute DREAM!

  I cant say enough good things about The Hilton and their coordinator, Bri! She was SO accommodating and made our special day EXACTLY what we had always pictured it to be! She was patient with all of our many questions, and every staff member involved was so helpful! 100% recommend!

  Mariah, Aaron and their staff were absolutely phenomenal. They were so helpful, accommodating and easy to work with. Our reception was perfect thanks to them. The food was absolutely delicious as well.

  We are absolutely glad that we chose the Hilton as our wedding reception venue (and we also had a brunch there the day after the wedding). Working with Mary was great – she’s so funny, and also really dedicated and hard-working. We really liked the way the Hilton does weddings – it was so nice to have one straightforward and succinct brochure that presented all of our options and the prices. It made it very simple to figure out how much the cost was going to be, and what we could add to get to the minimum price. It also wasn’t an overwhelming amount of options – Mary worked with us to have everything exactly as we wanted, but we were really grateful that the brochure presented all of the options and we knew what the possibilities were from the start. We also appreciated that the tax and gratuity are included in the prices on the brochure – that made it much easier to have a projected cost, as well. Everything went exactly as planned, and the food was delicious! The Hilton and our vendors all worked together to make sure everything went smoothly, and we really felt very well taken care of. Mary took care of all the little details and we felt very special! The Hilton staff were all so welcoming, friendly, and nice, too. We really liked that our out of town wedding guests could stay right at the reception venue, and that we could, too! It definitely made the evening less stressful and very enjoyable. The hotel is really nice – the rooms are updated, the lobby is very pretty and we think that it looks impressive when you walk in, and the ballroom looked beautiful. There’s also a really nice outdoor space off the lobby, as well. Having brunch there the next day was great, too. The Hilton was a wonderful place to have our wedding reception, and Mary is really great to work with!

  Amazing!!! We are so happy that we had our big day here and appreciated all of the help that the Hilton provided to make it flawless. From the chandaliers and very clean ballroom to the complementary suite and sandwiches at the end of the night, every detail was perfect. Staff was lovely and food was very good. Our guests were in heaven. Special thank you to Mary. She helped us with every step of the way and was great.

  The ballroom is beautiful and very well maintained. Mary McBride, the location's wedding coordinator, is excellent to work with as she is very experienced and reasonable. Our reception went so smoothly and we were extremely happy with the facility and staff! I would definitely recommend this venue to others!

  The Hilton Hotel was by far, our 1st choice for our wedding reception. After looking at more than 6 other venues, we were happy to have found the beautiful and upscale Hilton Akron Fairlawn ballroom. Their all inclusive pricing for excellent food, beverages and service far exceeded our expectations and provided everything we wished for and needed. Mary M. McBride, Bridal Specialist has a wealth of knowledge to share and she is easy to work with. This venue is absolutely perfect - REALLY !

  We chose the Akron/Fairlawn Hilton because of it's beautiful ballroom, value, and the ability for our guests to just go up to their room. Mary McBride met and exceeded all of our expectations. She was there for me for every little crisis and detail. Our guests raved about the food, service, and overall experience. I couldn't have asked for anything better.

  My husband and I had our reception at the Hilton Akron/Fairlawn, and let me tell you, you cannot go wrong by choosing this venue.
  
  I chose the venue because I fell in love with the chandeliers, wanted my guests to be able to walk up to their rooms and not drive, and wanted a bar for an after party (which I did not make it to lol!).
  
  I would recommend the venue for all of those reasons, but also because their coordinator Mary McBride is PHENOMENAL! The woman is a super lady! She was there for me through every little detail. I cannot thank her enough for helping me pull off the wedding of my dreams.
  
  Our guests also complimented on how delicious the food was, how good the drinks were and how beautiful the room was. I 100% would recommend this venue to anyone!!!

  The entire hotel staff did an incredible job on my wedding night. I didn't have to worry about anything. From set up to clean up, and everything in between, it was perfect. The coordinator, Mary, was absolutely fabulous. She handled everything perfectly and set up everything just as I had envisioned. The venue has beautiful chandeliers that make the room even more stunning. They waiting staff and bar service was amazing, especially for having such a large crowd. On top of everything, our honeymoon suite was great, and they had champagne and meals for us waiting in the room. I could not have asked for more!

  The Hilton event staff really took care of every detail. It made the day so easy when all of the vendors were able to contact Mary to coordinate the setup time and places to go. All of the bridal party noticed that nearly everyone was eating when they were. One of the few places I've ever been to that the last table wasn't starving by the time food went around. Everyone commented how delicious the food was and the place truly was beautiful. I couldn't say enough good things about the event staff.
  The hotel accommodations caused a few people to be distraught but in the end it worked out. I didn't have a place to get ready from 12-1 and the front staff was well, rude to say the least about it, stating furiously that check out was at 12 and check in was at 4 and that they had a big party, (mine,lol) there that night and were busy and hung up on me. Which would have been one thing, except when everyone went to get their rooms (at 6, well past 4) most rooms were not ready. By the end of the night everyone had their rooms and I was just glad that I didn't have to transport anyone between a venue and a hotel. I would certainly suggest clearing a place to get ready with Mary before the day of to alleviate a ton of unnecessary stress.
  Lastly, we had a breakfast at the event the day after. The food was great and the staff very attentive. However, we paid by head and it was a hassle keeping non wedding guests out of our private room. Most people were courteous but a few people got in and got food before we could figure out if they were anyone's family/date.

  The Hilton Akron/Fairlawn helped us put together a beautiful Indian/American wedding reception, with amazing food, a great hotel, beautiful ballroom and good value.
  We were initially put off when we visited by the wedding coordinator, Mary McBride, because she seemed to want to steer us toward a particular type of reception. We ended up working with Emily Roberts instead and she went out of her way to tailor our reception to match our desires.
  The food was amazing. My groomsman said the Beef Tenderloin was one of the best pieces of meat he's ever had. The bartenders were pouring strong drinks all evening. The servers were quick and courteous, even giving some people boxes for their leftovers.
  The hotel is 40 years old, but doesn't show it. The indoor and outdoor pools are a nice amenity and the new patio at Beau's Grille would have been nice in warmer weather. We ended up having a large number of out of town guests stay at the hotel and everyone seemed pleased. The room rate was reasonable, though not better than you would get with a AAA card. We did get the bridal suite for our wedding night, which was enormous.
  The ballroom is huge and very nice. We ended up taking the provided chairs and linens and still felt the room looked elegant. The staff set up appetizers in the side room for cocktail hour, then turned it into a desert room later in the evening. They also allowed us a two-tier head table for our wedding party.
  As for value, I can't think of any better deal for a 200 person reception. The per person price includes 4 hours of open bar, champagne toast and a three course meal (salad, soup and entree) and can't be beat. You have the option to rent 2/3 of the ballroom, but then you have to worry about who is on the other side of the divider. So we rented the entire ballroom, despite having 160 people. The room didn't look too big, but we did have to buy a lot of hors d'oeuvres to make the minimum.

You have the option to rent 2/3 of the ballroom, but then you have to worry about who is on the other side of the divider. So we rented the entire ballroom, despite having 160 people. The room didn't look too big, but we did have to buy a lot of hors d'oeuvres to make the minimum.

  The rooms and facility were nice for our guests, but we were very underwhelmed by the help of the staff. I had a variety of stories and complaints from friends and family regarding the front desk help.

  I had my wedding reception and ceremony at the Hilton and I was very unhappy. My hotel coordinator was inexperienced and couldn't follow my requests. Instead of relaxing on my wedding day, I had to get involved in last minute mistakes on room arrangements, favor placements, etc. The coordinator was very unprofessional and several times would tell me that "this is how it is." It's my wedding day! Anyways, the only positive thing is the food was wonderful.
