  House Call Music Recital

  We just had another successful recital this past Sunday and I couldn’t recommend the Highland Park Community House more!
  
  This is our 12th year using this facility and the space is beautiful!
  
  ….Not to mention the incredible sounding Mason and Hamlin grand piano!
  
  Thanks to Wendy and we are looking forward to next year!

  The Perfect Venue

  The Highland, Park, Community, House was the perfect venue for our television production. We used the ballroom space. It was very spacious with tons of charm. Wendy Horwitch was an absolute pleasure to work with. She was extremely accommodating and made our experience that much better. I recommend this venue for anyone looking to do an event or television production.

  Community Literary Event

  Our event drew about 150 attendees, with 100% satisfaction. The venue offers vintage charm with contemporary responsiveness and planning details. Wendy is a delight to work with and her staff is impeccable in attention and thoughtfulness. All of our needs were met to our utmost satisfaction, and we will definitely return in the future. Sheer elegance!

  Wendy has been nothing short of amazing throughout this process! We have not even had our wedding yet but anytime I send a text, email, or call, she always gets back to me within minutes or at the least the same day!   A unicorn venue: flexible, beautiful, and so easy to work with

  We had the absolute best experience having our wedding reception at Highland Park Community House. Truly, it was perfect. We attribute that to the fact that Wendy, HPCH's Executive Director, is such a gem of a person, so easy to work with, very communicative, doesn't nickel and dime you, allows for flexibility, is accountable, and makes you feel at ease every step of the way. It's very clear that the operation at HPCH is smooth and positive because you feel it as a client. Wendy and HPCH made our vision and dream to have a 70s disco themed wedding reception a reality, and we wouldn't have been able to pull it off without Wendy and the HPCH team. Thank you for everything you did for us to make our event life changing and memorable. Please run, don't walk, to schedule your next event at Highland Park Community House. You will not be disappointed!!!

  Highland Park Community House is a GEM

  HPCH is a true gem in downtown Highland Park. The charm starts the minute you walk up the steps and you are swept away by the ballroom and everything that surrounds it. It is truly an amazing place to host any event!! Wendy and her team are simply the best!! They provide top notch customer service, extremely responsive, and so easy to work with that they will do whatever they can to make your event the best it can be. We CANNOT wait to book our next event there!!

  We needed a unique setting for a music video and HP Community House was perfect! Everyone was wonderful and we would strongly recommend you book early!   Wonderful experience! Highly recommend!

  We recently had our daughter's Bat Mitzvah celebration at the Highland Park Community House. It was AMAZING! The rental fee was very reasonable, which we loved. The staff was flexible and super easy to work with and the ballroom was gorgeous! Our guests were raving about the venue. Our adult guests also enjoyed a separate cocktail area which was in the living room, as they call it. It was perfect! We also had desserts in there as well. We didn't use the outdoor space but love that it's available if you would like to use it. I would highly recommend this venue for any event, large or small!

  Amazing Event

  Wendy was so easy to work with and accommodating to every request! I loved how responsive she was, too. Lorenzo did a great job with set up, clean up, and attending to our every need during our event. I would definitely host another event at the Highland Park Community House!

  Awesome place to cater!

  We catered an event in May, 2022 and it has always been a joy to work with and at the House! The kitchen is awesome, the staff is awesome and the set up and cleanup is simply nice! Very rare to work with a venue this cool!
  You make coming out of covid very pleasant as catering is not an easy gig!

  Ideal location for local awards reception

  We have held our annual grant awards reception at the Community House for years. Wendy and her staff are outstanding to work with! The layout has been ideal for pre-event mingling and seated dining during the awards presentation. It's a perfect site for many kinds of events.

  Beautiful Space

  This is a wonderful venue to rent for an event. Wendy is incredibly timely in her responses to inquiries, and very helpful in planning. The venue is beautiful - newly recarpeted and refinished floors - very well kept. Everyone loved the space for our event!

  Handsome venue at a reasonable price

  The HPCH was able to accommodate an event of ours at the last minute. The space has an old North Shore elegance but clean and neat . It has a pretty good kitchen than makes it easier for your caterer to do their job.

  Great venue in Northern Illinois

  We held an engagement brunch for our daughter and future son in law here this past weekend. It is a lovely venue in a beautiful area. The staff was attentive and helpful and the price was very reasonable. Highly recommend!

  The Highland Park Community House

  I would like to start off by saying if we could give more than 5 stars for rating/review, we absolutely would.
  From the first conversation we had with Wendy in obtaining more information on the venue, we knew this would be where we HAD to get married. Wendy was always responsive, eager to help, and very organized with planning. Efren was on staff the day of our reception and he was a true blessing. Very kind, accommodating and didn't hesitate to help when needed.
  The venue itself is absolutely beautiful. It required minimal decoration because it already has its own unique set up from the yellow curtain on stage, to the green drapes and to the amazing chandeliers all around.
  With that being said, we could not be happier with choosing the Highland Park Community House for our wedding ceremony and reception.

  Great experience. Wendy and her team were very helpful before and during the event.

  I would highly recommend the Community Center. As a bartender, I found it very easy to work with Wendy and her team. She was available and helpful with all questions and requests I had. The on-site coordinator was friendly and available all evening as the event went on.

I'm a professional musician & classical singer and ever since doing a recording project here--I have been recommending this hidden gem of a venue to all of my musician friends! Wendy is so great and easy to work with, and the piano is lovely and bright, wonderful open and beautiful acoustic space-- what a phenomenal place to sing! If you're needing a space that will be friendly for live music/musicians, look no further!
