I originally thought that I could do the flowers for my daughter's reception. You buy the vases, put hydrangeas in a vase with water and be done with it. I had always planned to have professionals do the bouquets and the church flowers.

I had decided to work with a local, quality grocery store who would order the flowers and deliver to the venue. I had planned to purchase 60 hydrangeas and the day of, I would cut and put in vases and be done. Looked to be a big savings. But the local store inexplicably forgot to tell me until the day I was paying for things that they would be charging a $220 delivery fee on a $540 floral order. Huh? I argued, went to one of the store managers who agreed this is ridiculous (the venue was less than 15 miles from this store and 3 miles from another in the chain). In the end, I walked away and ran blindly into Greensleeves which was located close by.

Ghazula (Ge Zah la), one of the managers met with me and calmed my nerves. She has handled many, many weddings and several at our venue, Belmont Country Club and knew what was needed. She argued back with me about not doing wrist corsages and said that it is a sign of respect to grandparents etc. so we ordered those. The grocery store had convinced my daughter that a nosegay would be great for her bridesmaids...but when Greenesleeves showed me the size of a nosegay, I knew that this would not have worked. We designed my daughter's bouquet together as well as the church altar flowers.

I had purchased the 20 vases and the stones and the illuminating lights so all we had to do is order the hydrangeas. They took it from there. NO delivery fee and it all was received on time at the venue. Many people commented on how pretty all the flowers were...and in the end, we agreed that Greensleeves is a wonderful choice for wedding flowers.

Greensleeves provided us with beautiful flowers for our wedding last minute. They were so accommodating, reasonably priced, and everything turned out absolutely beautiful! I highly recommend them!

Very easy to work with! Everything was online so I went and picked out things I wanted to discuss, and then we made an appointment to talk with the florist, picked everything out. A half an hour after walking in, we ended up leaving extremely happy! Reasonably priced and very easy to deal with delivery.

Flowers are expensive, so the price was fair. Would have liked a quicker communication turnaround as I had to follow up multiple times to get a response. But otherwise OK and the arrangements were beautiful.

Gazala was very nice throughout the planning process and helpful in working within our tight budget.
However, throughout the ordering process I got the impression that she was not very attentive to details and didn't pay a lot of attention to my requests. I ordered a bouquet of pink peonies and white freesia, I even brought her a picture of a bouquet just as I imagined it, but I ended up with cala lilies instead of freesia, which I don't like at all. The grooms bouquet was supposed to have a white peonie with azure blue and old gold ribbon following a fraternity traddition. We even picked out the ribbon in the store and Gazala wrote down the numbers for the ribbon, which she had hung up on a board for people to look at. But he ended up with a very bright pink peonie with only blue ribbon. The mothers were supposed to have white roses and ended up with white cala lilies. Needless to say, I was very upset when I received my bouquet on the day of the wedding, with no other options. The remainder of the order was as expected and I really liked the two vases of flowers she made for the chapel, but overall I am obviously very disappointed. I always thought about maybe drying or preserving my bouquet, but I ended up just leaving it at the reception, because I did not care about it at all.
