I held my husband’s retirement party at the Greenbelt Nature Center and it was memorable!! As I planned all the details, Christina and her staff guided and advised me every step of the way. The day of the event, they were also there early helping us set up and decorate. Then at the end of the night, they helped us clean up! The venue is great, nestled in the trees. I wish the weather had been warm enough to use the beautiful terrace! I could not have been more pleased!

We hosted the most unique wedding in Staten Island's most hidden gem - the Greenbelt Nature Center. The building is beautiful, really rustic and hidden back from the road and features a lovely patio and a fireplace. Our wedding was casual and low key - just the way we envisioned. Guests who live within miles of this location told me they didn't even know it was there.
They have a list of professional caterers but renters can also hire their own so you can really have a one of a kind event. It's a very DIY kind of place which is great for some. The staff is super flexible and allowed us to come in earlier than our contract to set up some items.
If you want a unique - never been done before one of kind event then check this place out!

My husband and I wanted an appropriately-sized outdoor venue for an intimate wedding (50-60 ppl). We liked that the Greenbelt has a lovely terrace and an indoor space for the reception. We liked the rustic decor because we didn't need to do too much for decorations. It ended up raining on our big day, so we used the Exhibit Room for our ceremony and it was perfect and intimate. Many of our guests complimented us on the space and wondered how we found it (thanks Wedding Wire:) Christina, the on-site coordinator, is super responsive and helpful, and was willing to work with us on our vision and adjusting things as we got closer to the date. She also has very helpful staff: when we visited the venue, Maria was there to offer us a ton of decorating and setup ideas; also, the staff helps set up and break down tables and chairs for your event (a tremendous help!). Overall, we are beyond pleased with our choice. It is a great value for the space and surroundings. If you are having an intimate wedding and are wanting some elegant rustic charm, we'd recommend Greenbelt.

This is the second time I have had an event at the Greenbelt Center. It is a beautiful place and the staff are very nice and helpful.

We had an amazing Christening Party at the Greenbelt Nature Center in Staten Island. We had about 40 family and friends in this wonderful space nestled in one of the borough's most beautiful natural areas. The staff were very accommodating and pleasant. Especially Christina who helped us with everything. She took the time to answer all our questions, make thoughtful recommendations, and make herself available when we needed her. The outside patio, framed with a great water feature, was perfect for cocktails. This space is one of Staten Island's best kept secrets!
