When we started researching DJs in Tampa for our wedding, it became clear pretty quickly that Grant Hemond was the way to go. They’ve been in business for decades and have thousands of 5 star reviews — and with good reason! Music was incredibly important to me, so I was convinced I was going to be that annoying bride, but they were absolutely fantastic to work with for our wedding.
After reading through pages and pages of reviews, I noticed the same names of DJs keep popping up, so even though they say your DJ isn’t assigned until the week before your event, I asked if I could request a particular person. They said we absolutely could request specific DJs, so I gave four names. Two were already spoken for (a year out!), but she wrote into our contract that we were guaranteed to have one of the other two assigned to our wedding. We booked them to play music for a ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception, and to provide uplighting for the reception as well.
Over the next year, my husband and I compiled playlists of music we wanted to have played during cocktail hour or dinner (in other words, songs that we really liked but that you couldn’t really dance to), songs we wanted for the reception, as well as a “do not play” list.
A little over a week before our wedding, Craig Hemond reached out to us, introducing himself as our DJ. He sent over a questionnaire and set up a time for us to talk on the phone. I sent back the questionnaire along with our spreadsheets (yes, plural) of playlists, and we proceeded to have a two-hour (!) chat on the phone about how the music would go for the ceremony, cocktail hour, wedding party intros and reception. He was incredibly thorough and just the nicest guy you could ever hope to meet.
Craig totally understood what I wanted for my reception — I told him I needed this to be a throwback to the late 90s/early 2000s. He knew how to get people on that dance floor, and everyone had such a fun time! And he made our reception look amazing as well with the uplighting, which we asked to be a dark teal color. He also had the ability to change the colors throughout the night, and to have them change along with the beat of the music.
Start to finish, Craig did an absolutely wonderful job — I couldn’t have asked for a better DJ for our wedding! -

He worked with us the week before the wedding and provided just what we wanted. Our guests were pleased that he was so kind to play requests.....very kind and pleasant to everyone. Thanks Craig! -

Amazing DJ who listens to your wants/needs
We worked with Adam for our wedding. A few weeks before the wedding we had a call and told him that music is so important for us and the group we had coming to the wedding. We sent him several playlist of recommended songs for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. He played all of the songs we wanted and mixed in a few songs that fit the vibe we wanted. He hyped the crowd up for the introductions and was ready for any requests thrown at him during the reception. On top of that, he has that amazing DJ voice that sounds so professional. I couldn't recommend Adam more. Thank you!! -

Craig was awesome - super professional and detailed. He was on prompt and thorough. He did a great job on communicating prior to the wedding and making sure to check in with us the day of.
Great set up and sound and ambiance was provided. Highly recommend!!! -

We got married Friday March 15th at Bakers Ranch and had Rafael as as our DJ. The wedding venue gave us a long list of vendors and specific DJs to choose from, but after coming across Rafael's Instagram profile we knew he would be the perfect fit for us. He is a young and energetic guy that knows how to keep the party going. We had a 30 minute call with Rafael a week before the wedding and he understood exactly what we were looking for. We created an Apple Music playlists that had more songs than he could play with various genres and vibes. Rafael did an awesome job transitioning between the playlists throughout the 2 hours we had dedicated to dancing at the end of the wedding. The dance floor was always packed and my bride and I never left it! Our guests really enjoyed themselves and mentioned what a great job he did after the wedding. We would highly recommend Rafael! Thanks for making our wedding an epic unforgettable party :) -

Dj Rafael was AMAZING!!! He kept the crowd pumped and on the floor all night. We had a blast and the music was exactly what we hoped for. Grant Hemond was easy to work with throughout the planning process and helped pick DJ Rafael based on my vision for the night and I couldn’t be more appreciative!! Definitely recommend including the uplighting and Photo Booth from GHA as well! -

Rafael Santiago was the perfect pairing for our wedding DJ! From our initial phone call 2 weeks out, his energy was contagious and he nailed what we were looking for. He played straight bangers, added party lightning, and truly made our night! He respected our do NOT playlist and yet played old-time classics, Latin music, and college bops to make the night unforgettable for everyone at our wedding! Highly recommend! -

Dj aaron is it 🤬
I could write a book. Aaron called us a week and two days before our wedding, the exact day we were expecting his call. He spent over an hour on the phone with us just making sure he had every single detail. He was so thorough that we didn’t really have a chance to even worry. He was calm and patient, he allowed us to make crazy changes up until the last second. He played every song that was special to us, and gave our guests special requests too. He. Was. Incredible. Thank you for bringing rhe life to our party, Aaron. You nailed it ❤️ -

We had the best experience using Grant Hemond for our DJ/MC and uplighting services! We had Eric Harding as our assigned DJ and he went above and beyond for our guests. He mixed our music with other popular songs and was able to really get the dance floor going. He did a lot of cool things too without us asking (announcing the Photo Booth was open during cocktail hour, doing a "couples" dance to get people onto the dance floor, etc.). It made for a packed dance floor all night. He was professional too and came in a suit which matched our wedding dress code. Amazing service would definitely recommend!! -

DJ Adam Hensleigh
Grant Hemond was a perfect addition to our wedding and kept the party going the entire night! From booking to execution they were professional and thoughtful!
We were lucky enough to have Adam Hensleigh as our Dj and he exceeded all expectations. He took the time to explain what equipment would be the best for our venue and listened to all of our requests, seeing our vision. He brings energy and great music to the party! We received so many compliments on the music and our excellent Dj. We would recommend Grant Hemond for any event, and if you can get Adam as your Dj you are extra lucky! Thank you for making our day so special, not only for us but for the guests as well! :) -

Our main detail for our wedding that we wanted was for everyone to be on the dance floor. We didn’t want line dancing music and we didn’t want too many old people songs (sorry oldies) Caleb used all of our music choice options and followed the vibe to a T! I honestly think this is why our wedding was so good. The dance floor was full the whole time. I had the best night of my life! Thank you Caleb! Easiest 5 stars I would give 100 if I’d let us LOL! -

The DJ, Craig Hemond, was awesome at my daughters wedding. Very professional, personable and was the perfect "master of ceremonies" during the wedding. The dance was floor was busy at all times and kept the party going with enthusiasm well into the end of the evening. He played all the songs previously discussed in his interview with the bride and groom. -

Jason is such an amazing DJ. He always puts the couples needs first and will do anything to make their wedding day special.
Jason has such an outgoing personality which is perfect for a DJ! He went out of his way to make our night special and was always respectful and nice to us and the guests. The whole process was a breeze with him! He is professional and always reaches out for updates on anything. Couldn’t have been a more perfect DJ! -
