Amazing experience with Golden Scroll Soloists

Kevin and his team at Golden Scroll Soloists were amazing at our wedding on October 21, 2023!!! I had first heard of Golden Scroll after seeing them perform at my brother's wedding. After input from my brother and reading reviews online, we reached out to Kevin asking if we could book a quartet. Kevin made the entire process of working with him very easy with how organized he is and how straightforward the process for booking him and his team was. The online song form was very helpful with helping us think about what songs we wanted when, and Kevin was very flexible with making song choices for us for the pre-ceremony music when we were having a harder time coming up with options. He had a lot of prior experience working with our venue which also was very helpful in making the wedding a success. My bridal processional song was A Thousand Years and it was truly beautiful. For our recessional song, my husband and I both wanted something that reflected our common interests so we chose the Legend of Zelda Overworld Theme. It was AWESOME!!! We had lots of guests coming up to us afterwards saying how much they loved hearing Golden Scroll, especially the Zelda theme. We still have guests talking to us several months later about how much they loved the string quartet! Kevin and Golden Scroll Soloists were wonderful and we wholeheartedly recommend them!!!

Exactly how I dreamed I would walk down the aisle...

First off, working with Golden Scroll Soloists was incredibly easy! Kevin was my point of contact, and he was always responsive and made the planning process simple with an online questionnaire and a planning phone call several weeks in advance of the wedding day. The library of songs that you can choose from is MASSIVE and spans so many different artists and genres. I thought that Golden Scroll Soloists was an incredible value for what they offered, especially after watching some of their videos and hearing how talented their musicians are. What I especially loved was that I had the option to pay a small additional fee for a custom string arrangement. My favorite Taylor Swift song, "This Love", has always reminded me of my the beginning of my relationship with my husband — 1989 came out the year that we met, so it holds a special place in my heart. I thought it would be a beautiful song to walk down the aisle to... I asked Kevin if they could do a custom arrangement, and he said yes. What he delivered was beyond my wildest dreams (heheheh). I could hear the quartet playing from where I was standing before the ceremony, and they sounded amazing. As I walked up and they began to play "This Love", I was so overcome with emotion. It was the perfect song to walk down the aisle to, and I cannot thank them enough for making this moment so special for us. The recessional song, "Edge of Glory" by Lady Gaga, was also perfectly played and an amazing, uplifting way to end the ceremony. Though I sadly was not able to make it to much of the cocktail hour, all I heard were rave reviews from our guests. I am so happy to have worked with the Golden Scroll Soloists, who truly set a romantic tone for our wedding day!

Great song list and also can learn songs

Definitely go with the Golden Scrolls! Their song list was unmatched (we loved choosing covers of our favorite songs) and they even learned a couple songs specifically for our ceremony

Perfect Music!

Kevin and the Golden Scrolls team were so helpful to our wedding - having them as the ceremony music was fantastic and they made the whole thing personal to what music we wanted. We had a violin and a cello and picked out songs for different parts of the pre-party music, including a song that (for a nominal fee) they set up and learned for us!! Of course day of the wedding not everything goes to plan, and the ceremony was a little delayed - no problem they continued to play the backup songs we discussed and all worked out ! They were easy to communicate with and I was so happy we booked them (you will be too!).

For A Wedding Ceremony, The Perfect Touch

You will not regret adding a string quartet from the Golden Scroll Soloists to your wedding ceremony. From our initial call with Kevin to the outdoor, day-of ceremony at the Wadsworth Mansion in Middletown, CT, working with the Soloists was fun, efficient, and hassle-free. Most importantly, the music sounded beautiful, adding an elegance and serenity to our ceremony that was absolutely what we’d hoped for. We asked Kevin to arrange two songs that were not in the Soloists’ repertoire (yet), including the entrance song. He did so perfectly. From a more practical perspective, Kevin was professional and responsive over email. We recommend the Soloists without reservation and, if we had to do it over, would choose the Soloists again.

Amazing!!!

I cannot even begin to say how amazing our day was because of the string music we had at our ceremony. Kevin was AMAZING to work with and I will never be able to thank him enough for everything he did to make our day so special. Everyone at our ceremony could not get over the strings music and how it sounded. They truly sounded magical and made our day so special. I cannot recommend them enough for any wedding or event!!!

10/10 Would Recommend!

My husband and I only have wonderful things to say about the Golden Scrolls! Kevin was very friendly and easy to work with from beginning to end. We initially heard them play at a friend's wedding and they were fantastic and then stumbled upon them again while I was researching music for our own wedding. We were thrilled by the variety in the song selection lists, and even though they didn't already have the song I wanted for my procession, they ended up creating a beautiful rendition of it for a very reasonable price. We asked them to play during the ceremony, cocktail hour, and for our first dance, and we got so many comments from our guests about how much they enjoyed the music. Golden Scroll Soloists really added to making our wedding day special and we highly recommend working with them!

Lovely ceremony music

We had a string trio from Golden Scroll Soloists play at our wedding ceremony. My now-husband didn't have strong opinions about ceremony music, so I definitely commandeered this aspect of wedding planning ;) And I'm so happy with how it all turned out!

*Kevin was organized and professional leading up to the big day, and his wife (Elinor) sounded wonderful on the cello...I walked down the aisle to a Bach cello suite.

*They also arranged a new song for our recessional! And while the groom was a bit too tunnel-visioned at the time to notice my cheeky musical surprise, the other Bostonians in attendance (including his brothers/groomsmen) got a kick out of "Dirty Water".

Thanks for providing a wonderful soundtrack to some of our most special moments!

Golden Scroll Soloists were amazing for my ceremony and cocktail hour! Excellent musicians (even my father, who is very picky about live music, commented on how beautiful the music was), and Kevin and Marianne were so great to work with. Every detail was perfect - Kevin even remembered things I'd put in emails from almost two years prior, without a reminder from me or my planner. The string quartet learned a new song for my bridal processional and it was such an incredible experience walking down the aisle to it. Highly recommend, go hire GSS!

Awesome, Flexible String Quartet!

Kevin and his musicians at Golden Scroll did an amazing job at our wedding! We had them play rock & pop music with some Taylor Swift at the beginning of our ceremony and during the cocktail hour. But as a musician myself, I also threw some custom arrangements at them - they played Cody Fry's "I Hear A Symphony" and Disney's "A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes" beautifully for our bridal party processional and bridal procession and then flipped a switch and brought the energy for Vulfpeck's "Animal Spirits" during our recessional. I agreed with other musicians in attendance at our wedding when they said our string quartet was fantastic!

Beautiful music

GSS played for our ceremony, cocktail hour and dinner at our wedding in Newport, RI. We hired the string quartet. Working with Kevin Bishop pre-wedding was seamless. We had a pre-wedding call and he had great ideas and was very helpful. The music on the day was beautiful and everything we dreamed it would be. Would recommend to any of my friends getting married in the area.

The perfect addition to our wedding ceremony

A quartet from Golden Scroll Soloists provided the music for our wedding ceremony and it could not have been more perfect. We were lucky in that GSS had played in the chapel before. But I believe they would have been wonderful even without that previous experience. It was very easy to select music and communication throughout the process was very easy. They were already set up when we got there and did not cause any stress on the day - they just took care of everything. And the music was beautiful! We highly recommend GSS for any event!

We had Golden Scrolls perform at our August 2023 wedding. I would give them 100 stars if I could. They are so talented and created a wonderful atmosphere and ambience to the day. All of our guests commented on how wonderful they were. Kevin was so easy to work with and made everything seamless. Their volume of music is endless and they can play any genre. They truly made our wedding day perfect.

Excellent String Quartet for Wedding Ceremony

Kevin was very professional and organized and the communication was excellent, every detail went as planned. The Quartet elevated the ceremony contributing to the specialness but also the beauty of the event in ways that could not be achieved without the professional musicians. The music was world-class and the selections were expertly played.

best musicians to work with for your wedding!

We absolutely loved working with the Golden Scroll Soloists for our wedding at Beavertail State Park! They were very easy to work with and had a very simplistic portal to select songs for our wedding. Kevin was even able to arrange a special requested song for us! We absolutely loved having them play at our wedding and couldn’t have been happier!

They were very easy to work with and had a very simplistic portal to select songs for our wedding. Kevin was even able to arrange a special requested song for us! We absolutely loved having them play at our wedding and couldn’t have been happier!

Golden Scrolls was a beautiful addition to my daughters wedding ceremony! The wedding was at Kay Chapel in Newport and the music by Elinor and the other musicians was perfect!
Leading up to the wedding Kevin was such a pleasure to work with and was very professional and organized. My daughter and I are very detail oriented and it was a perfect fit!

The Golden Scrolls sounded just as beautiful in person as they do online! In addition to communicating efficiently and being incredibly prepared, they are very talented! Their music was absolutely beautiful and made our wedding day that much more magical. Highly recommend!! :)

We chose The Golden Scroll Soloists for our ceremony and we couldn't have imagined a better experience. I initially found GSS through a Google search and I was very impressed by their website and all of the different song options they had, especially because I was looking for a mix of contemporary and traditional. I loved that I could play samples from their website too. From the beginning, Kevin reached out right away to ask us questions about what we were looking for. Kevin was very organized and made sure that everything was in order before the big day. I will always remember the moment before walking down the aisle when string trio began to play the song I chose and how happy it made me to hear it.

I am so grateful that I found Golden Scroll Soloists!

As a musician myself, it was very important to me that I have a variety of musical ensembles at my wedding. I very much wanted a string quartet at the ceremony, but also knew that it would be a splurge that I wasn’t sure my budget could handle. I am so grateful that I found Golden Scroll Soloists! The quality of their sound is unmatched compared to other string quartets that are advertised and their price is extremely reasonable. They played prelude music while my guests arrived, songs during the mass, and exit music. SEVERAL guests approached me during the reception telling me that they felt like they were at a professional concert. I arrived about 45 minutes late to the ceremony because of some unforeseen circumstances, and many guests joked around saying that they wished I had arrived even later because they were enjoying the music so much. I STILL have guests telling me that the music during the ceremony was unlike anything they had ever heard and set the tone for such a beautiful day. I highly recommend them. As I mentioned, I am a musician myself so my standards were pretty high and they knocked all of the classical repertoire that I requested out of the park. Not only are they talented, but they communicated quickly and efficiently. Golden Scroll Soloists is a superb wedding vendor!
