Floyd's has everything you'll need and then some. The staff was extremely knowledgable and offered sage advice; they know their venues!Sent on 08/21/2008
They showed up to set up the tent on time, and there were no issues with anything missing. When I said I wanted to rent a chocolate fountain, they wisely suggested against it as prior experience showed that the chocolate gets all over the place when the wind blows.
They were able to help me choose tent sizes. The website is informative and the prices are decent; It's definitely much cheaper to rent linens, lights, glassware, etc. than to buy them.
I do wish that they'd utilize email more though.

I called just shortly before my wedding to change the number of linens and napkins I needed and they were very accommodating. The linens were reasonably priced, and the pickup and delivery went very smoothly. Great experience!Sent on 11/13/2011

Floyd's was a great place to rent all the tables and chairs for our reception! We were able to have them dropped off one day ahead of needing them and then picked up at our convienance, for a very small charge. Their rates were reasonable and staff courteous. I would highly recommend them to anyone!Sent on 11/20/2007

The great thing about Floyd's Rent All is that they had absolutely EVERYTHING I needed, including glassware for the centerpieces. Ultimately, they were helpful in recommending quantities of items and allowed me to change my order up to two weeks in advance. Just a warning, their delivery fees get pretty pricy if you are having an event outside of the greater Binghamton area, but I still went with them because I did not want to deal with having multiple rental companies.Sent on 06/16/2013

Renting a tent and chairs from Floyd's was an average experience. Unfortunately they were not particularly responsive to communication, and certainly did not go above and beyond in the customer service category.Sent on 01/08/2015
My biggest disappointment was that our ceremony tent was dropped off and erected, but the inside was just filthy. I came to find out after my wedding that my AMAZING girlfriends had realized the problem just as I was deciding we needed to move the ceremony into the tent for rain, and while I hiked with my husband-to-be on the morning of the wedding, they climbed up a ladder and scrubbed the tent with bleach from the inside for a couple hours. BEST FRIENDS! Less than best tent rental company. They knew it was being used for a wedding ceremony - yet gave us a dirty tent - bummer.
It worked out well in the end, but not to the credit of Floyd's Rental. If you choose to rent from them - be explicit about expectations - but expect no guarantees.

Our wedding and reception were set up in a field near my family home, which is on a dirt road and about 20 minutes away from Interstate 81. Not quite in the boonies, but not the most convenient place for a wedding, either. The field was up a steep hill for which 4-wheel-drive was helpful for all of our vendors (Floyd's, main caterer, pig roaster, florist, officiant, band, guitarist for ceremony, and bathroom rental service).Sent on 09/27/2011
We had a big rental order from Floyd's: 2 tents (one with sides), hanging lights for inside the 40x80' tent, string lights for inside the large tent, a 16x20' dance floor, tables, 200 chairs, a standing light, and a few other items.
PROS: Floyd's price-matched another company on the chairs, items were set up and taken down effectively by a team of 5-6 guys, and many of our rental items came from the same place, which was more convenient for us to not have to meet multiple rental companies. All items were in reasonably good shape (tables never look good until they have linens on them). The 3 hanging lights were plastic, but looked much fancier and provided adequate light for the tent, along with the string lights and candles on tables.
CONS: They do not set up or take down tables and chairs. There is a charge incurred if they have to take them down at pick-up. There was a HUGE lack of communication between the set-up/take-down team and our telephone contact at Floyd's (the higher up, their boss). I was very clear and honest about our location and state of the area as it was a few days after Hurricane Irene came through (many neighbors still did not have power!). The road up to our field was wet and 4wd was necessary. The guys came for delivery/set-up in box trucks and said they were not told any details about our location or that 4wd would have been necessary. When called by their employees, Floyd's said on the phone that we had to figure it all out, so I called a neighbor with a tractor, who towed the box trucks up the hill to the field. We bought the group pizzas for dinner to thank them for their time and effort.
During our reception, all items worked well and everything looked beautiful.
Pick-up of the items was worse yet, as the company was not able to give us an exact time or day that they would be coming. But I was told by Floyd's that I needed to have a team of people and tractors ready to help. So I had neighbors "on call," my parents spent a few days here to help, and my new husband left work early. The tractor could not get the trucks back up to the field, as it had been raining for a few days straight, and rental items were loaded onto a hay wagon and brought down one load at a time. In trying to help with the take-down, the team of guys said there's no way we really should be helping because of insurance purposes, that we would not be covered by their company if any accident occurred.
My contact at Floyd's tried to blame each situation on my lack of communication, however I believe they have an attitude that they can make anything work, and just make the delivery guys figure it out. That attitude can be good, but wasn't in this case. Most of the employees working on the set-up/take-down team spoke negatively about their bosses, which is a big indicator to me. I was told by my contact that their company is "so far in the hole" on my order, but I do not believe that.
All was figured out, but the relationship with my contact with Floyd's was very negatively affected, and we left it that we would not want to deal with one another again.
In looking back, perhaps if our location was easier to get to, or if the weather had been better, there may not have been any problems. But in having a non-traditional venue, it seems that we saw another side to Floyd's that I would not recommend to anyone having a similar wedding reception. It was nice to have the rental items from one place, but in comparing their attitude to vendors like Taylor Rental in Montrose, PA, or Suburban Septic in Kirkwood, NY (for portable toilets), I would not recommend Floyd's Rent-All.

DO NOT RENT FROM FLOYDS!! Our wedding would have been perfect if they didn't make mistake after mistake.Sent on 07/25/2016
first- they told me delivery would be at 2pm Friday. long story short, even after calling them and setting up a time for "sometime after 5pm", they did not deliver the rentals until sometime after 9:30 the next day. I didnt care what time they came, It was just super annoying that I scheduled my day around their word and I must have spend 2 hours total that day waiting to meet them. And in the end I wasnt able to be there to make sure they put everything where I wanted it to be.
second- because they were late, I gave up on waiting and told them i would leave chairs in the place I want the tent set up. When they got there, they moved the chairs and put the tent in a different location without calling. This tent was suppose to hide me before the ceremony. They put the tent right next to the ceremony chairs and gave me tent sides with french windows. Guests were entering the tent before the ceremony to say hi and talk to me. And the tent was in pictures, blocking the view of the landscape. I am not a picky person, but that to me is unacceptable.
Third- the tent sides they gave us had mismatching french windows. That was embarrassing. and we only ordered 3 tent sides, I would think a rental facility would have atleast 3 of the same tent sides. if i ordered a bunch and got 2 different kinds, I could atleast understand that might be due to availability. I think they were just not paying attention when they grabbed the supplies. Not only did i have to have a tent in my pictures, but they tent sides didnt match. It looked trashy.
Fourth- they are horrible at communicating. They messed everything up and it did not bother them at all.
While I was cleaning up after the ceremony, another vendor told me she has also heard really bad things about Floyds. I was shocked at how bad they did. I would never rent from them again and advise others to do the same.
