When we first met Father Kelly, we knew he would be able to help us create a beautiful interfaith ceremony that respected and celebrated both of our faiths. He seemed as well versed in the Jewish marriage ceremony as the Catholic one! During our ceremony, he was very light-hearted and warm, and he worked perfectly with our Jewish co-officiant (with whom he was working for the first time). Our ceremony was outside, so in lieu of lighting a unity candle (a traditional Christian wedding symbol and ceremony), he suggested that we have our mothers take part in a Sand Ceremony. It created this beautiful memento that we will be able to cherish forever.

In preparation for our wedding, we met Father Kelly several times at his parish. We learned about some of the amazing things he and his parish are doing in their community, which only strengthened our belief that he was someone we wanted to marry us on our special day.
Thank you, Father Kelly, for your support and wisdom to help us get our marriage off to a beautiful, joyful start! We will be seeing you for Gospel Mass the next time we are in DC!

We were absolutely blessed to have found Father Kelly! From our initial meetings to the actual ceremony, he was flawless. He was the perfect fit for our ceremony and we received so many compliments on how well he did! We have already used him for family baptisms since the wedding! Thank you for everything Father Kelly, and we look forward to seeing you soon!

We are so appreciative that Father Michael Kelley was able to officiate my daughter's wedding. He made a long drive from DC to Charlottesville. The ceremony was meaningful, warm and personal, with just the right amount of humor to lighten the mood at the appropriate times. Our family, my son-in-law's family and especially my daughter and son-in-law consider him to be a very special person and we are so very pleased he was part of the memorable wedding day.

I had an interfaith wedding and Father kelly worked with both my husband and myself to navigate through the confusion that comes from blending not only 2 families, but also 2 religions. He was wonderful to work with and helped tremendously.

My husband was raised Catholic and I am not religious. We thought it would be tricky to figure out a ceremony that worked for us, but Father Kelly from St. Martin's in DC was really great. We were surprised and lucky to find a Catholic priest that would perform a wedding outside. He allowed us to adjust the traditional ceremony as needed. We included one reading from the Bible and two non-religious readings that were meaningful to us. We had a few different options to choose from for the vows and various prayers and were able to find ones that worked for us. Father Kelly's sense of humor that we loved during our meetings with him was thankfully present at the ceremony. He focused on "God is Love" and told us that we were the ones doing the work at the wedding - we were the ones making the committment - and he was just there to make it official. We were really happy with our ceremony from Father Kelly.

Father Kelly was very flexible and allowed us to do a Catholic ceremony outside. He wasnt over priced but a Cardinal sent us a letter asking for more donations. Didnt really like that. Father Kelly was very funny. He did say our Mother in laws name wrong and everyone laughed about it.
