  Best value!

  Gigi was extremely helpful as we planned our wedding with 70 guests. She foresaw a lot of details that we would need to figure out in the planning process to make sure our day would go as smoothly as possible. She also was accommodating in changes that we made to our plans along the way. We had food delivered from a restaurant to save money, and Extra Hands provided people to set up dinner tables, decorations, and the set up for the buffet, as well as the teardown and cleanup. Extra Hands also provided a bartender who did an amazing job! We provided our own alcohol – beer, wine, and ingredients for three signature cocktails. The Extra Hands bartender Tina did extremely well with our vague instructions for the cocktails (we provided a lot of ingredients without specific ratios, and she nailed the ratio better than we would have). Everyone kept complimenting one of the cocktails she made. It was hands-off for us as the bride and groom. Highly recommended!

  Highly responsive and highly recommended!

  We were very happy with Extra Hands For Your Events and the owner Gigi’s work at our July 2021 wedding in Providence, RI! We hired Extra Hands to provide servers last minute for our event; the wedding was postponed for a year due to the pandemic and a previously-engaged vendor had abandoned us. In our scramble to find a company to replace the old vendor, we were incredibly lucky to have found Extra Hands.   Highly recommend!! For our backyard wedding in June we needed to hire bartenders and serving staff, and found Extra Hands For Your Events after having a bad experience with another company who we cut ties with 2 months before the day. I contacted Gigi and she responded immediately, even making herself available to talk on the phone that afternoon. She was so incredibly sweet and helpful (as all the other reviews can attest to), and extremely knowledgable as well - we weren’t using a caterer, and she gave us really good tips on how the flow of dinner should work and what we would need to make it easier, as well as the amount of alcohol and glassware we would need to buy/rent. Gigi runs a great business, and when there was a discrepancy on the contract she honored the lower price she had quoted us in the beginning (very different than the first company we worked with), and was very upfront about what everything would cost. When we needed extra staff to help grill, she worked it out so that we could cut down on the number of total staff by having them rotate through positions, and in the end, what she charged us was much less than what she had quoted as an estimate. We really appreciated that, considering we had already lost money on the first company! Finally, Gigi’s staff were amazing! They were surer friendly and on top of things- I was so impressed that they managed to make everything run smoothly for a 100 person backyard wedding with no caterer- and they cleaned up SO well after. I highly recommend Extra Hands For Your Events and if we have another event in the future, will absolutely use them again.

  We got married in July 2017, had about 100 guests and hired Extra Hands to serve and bartend. They were so fantastic, I don't even have enough words!
  
  This long story leads me to Extra Hands. We knew we wanted a family style meal and the servers went above and beyond. Cocktail hour: appetizers and drinks were brought out to our guests. A server brought a tray of appetizers outside to the wedding party and photographer--if you've been a bride, you know what a HUGE god send this is. We hadn't eaten in hours and I am so thankful for that very thoughtful server. Also, our bartender was a super pleasant (certified/insured) young woman from Fairhaven who my guests spoke so highly of.
  
  Salad course: perfectly served. Lemon was sliced and put in water. Bread and dipping oil: beautifully presented and served. Main course: everything was warmed beautifully and served to each individual table. Servers were SO pleasant. Everything was cleared away at the end.
  
  Dessert course: wedding cake was cut and served after we did the initial cake cutting. They were super swift and professional. Wedding cakes are tricky business and everything went off without a hitch.
  
  After serving: THE KITCHEN WAS SPOTLESS. We owned all of the plates/silverware used (great find on craigslist from a former bride) and so I was really worried about Extra Hands having enough time to wash. I asked them to rinse, if possible and not worry about it. They washed every last fork and packed everything back into the

  We booked Extra Hands for our wedding on 09/30/17 to handle the bartending at our event. Gigi was super responsive and helpful when I reached out. She sent David to be our bartender and he was awesome!!! He totally went with the flow when some unexpected rain forced elements of our wedding inside, including cocktail hour. My husband loved that his beer choice was remembered, and David had it opened by the time he got to the bar every time! I would not hesitate to book Extra Hands again, if we are ever in need of a bartender or servers! It was such an easy booking process, with wonderful service on our big day!

  I hired Gigi and her team for bartending and serving at my very DIY wedding. She was amazing to work with! We emailed back and forth many times, she was always very quick in responding (sometimes less than 5 minutes!) which is very helpful when wedding planning. She had many suggestions and helped me through the planning process and was always happy to help. I cannot recommend Gigi and Extra Hands enough, she will definitely make your planning less stressful!
