Andrea was extremely professional and very helpful from the planning start to the end of the reception. The service and the food was outstanding.Sent on 06/06/2013
Many guests said how quickly the staff waited on them and how helpful they were.

It's a beautiful site, but it is pricey and you need to know at least 2 years in advance if you want to have a summer wedding. They provide tables and chairs, but you might want chair covers. The kitchen is huge. We really enjoyed having our wedding there.Sent on 12/13/2009

I feel my rating isn't entirely accurate - the place is fantastic and wonderful. The office staff is miserable.Sent on 08/17/2011
We looked high and low for a wedding venue we liked and could afford. At $600 for the entire day, this place fit the bill. It's a beautiful park and a beautiful building if you don't mind a little chipping paint. It's certainly not high luxury, but it's very charming.
We used only the dining room side. We had 78 guests and it was nice and roomy. That side is nicer looking in my opinion - the ballroom side has concrete floors and a weird lattice ceiling. We had our ceremony on the steps by the fountain, which was lovely.
It was very nice that they had plenty of tables and chairs - one less thing to worry about.
With everyone dancing the place did get a bit warm, but we opened the windows and it was fine.
Now, the staff. The staff we met there while we were setting up were great! The man originally showed us the place was also great. The first person I was corresponding with in the office was at least passable - answered my questions and was nice enough. The new woman - Charlene - is just awful. She's not kind or knowledgeable, she doesn't return calls, she doesn't respond fully to emails. I was very sick of trying to deal with her!
Emerson Park Pavilion's reply:Just a quick note about Amanda's review: The Emerson Park Pavilion is now operated by H&J Hospitality and has undergone a complete renovation (as of June 2012) so the aesthetic concerns have been addressed. Specifically the ballroom now has hardwood floors and the "weird lattice ceiling," has been removed in favor of a modern open ceiling design. Also, the park office no longer handles the reservations so the inquiry and confirmation processes should be a lot smoother for future brides.
