  The best possible DJ/MC we could have asked for!

  Alex was truly the best possible DJ/MC we could have asked for! Music was a big priority for our wedding so from our first call with Alex we knew we were in great hands! He made the planning process super easy and fun with the online portal, and he was always super responsive and easy to talk to if we had any questions. He covered every little detail in our planning meeting and everything was perfect on the day! From the ceremony to cocktail hour to the reception and after party, everything flowed so well and we had so much fun! He was so great at reading the crowd during the dance and somehow made all of our random requests work too! Thank you Alex/Bass & Bliss for making our wedding so incredible!

  Awesome and very In Tune

  Great service and really responsive. We enjoyed meeting Sean and Alex. Great energy. We had Sean for our wedding, he was very responsive and understood everything we wanted with our music experience for our wedding. HIGHLY Recommended wedding vendor.

  You NEED to hire this man.

  I have actually seen Alex Updike at TWO weddings (mine and a coworkers). Let me say that this man has range! His knowledges transcends various music genres and is an expert at reading the crowd. He is extremely flexible, kind, and is overall everything you'd want in a DJ. His website is really good too btw!

  If you're looking to have a great party, look no further

  The music for our wedding reception was one of the most important things we wanted to nail, and Alex from Bass & Bliss straight up delivered! He was super organized and communicative leading up to the big day, providing a portal where we could submit our music selections for key moments and give him an idea of our music tastes. We were most impressed by his ability to read the crowd and adjust. Once he saw how our guests were loving all the early 2000s hip hop, he catered to the vibe and kept the party going strong all night! Alex is a talented DJ, and we highly recommend working with him for any event.

  Best experience with dj ever

  We booked Bass & Bliss for our wedding in Joshua Tree and Alex Updike could not have been better to work with!!! His second Dj Sean was the one who worked our wedding and he absolutely killed it!! We told him the vibe and had some songs we definitely wanted played and it was perfect. He listened to our requests and understood the assignment. We had several songs that we wanted to start at certain times and even our first dance song we wanted mashed up with another and he mixed it beautifully! The dance floor was going off!!!! Everyone had a blast and I can not recommend them enough!! Incredibly professional yet extremely personable!!! If you need a dj for any event, Bass & Bliss is IT!

  Alex was amazing from start to finish. He helped me from the jump. I did everything my self so I’m sure I was more of a headache to him😊. The music portal he uses is AMAZING. Really helped me keep a list of music I wanted in order so I didn’t have to second guess my list. The big day, oh my god he was the best. Kept us moving in order and got us to the fun part on time and played the best music EVERYONE was on the dance floor!!!! We were a rowdy bunch and he kept us in line😉

  DJ Alex Updike is the best!

  Alex was fantastic to work with from the start. He was responsive, flexible, professional and his web portal was a big plus in that it was easy to navigate and gave us an opportunity to really personalize our event. All of our guests had an amazing time. Would highly recommend Alex!

  We hired Alex as our dj for our wedding and from the start he was amazing! Responds so quick, had a portal that was easy to use, helped with song selections, and made our wedding day so fun! Our guests absolutely loved him. I would recommend him to anyone! THANK YOU ALEX 😊

  Alex was awesome! Our wedding day plans got totally changed by the weather and everything needed to be moved around the day of. Not only did Alex make it work but made it perfect! The Zoom calls we had with him prior to the wedding were great and really helped us share with him the "vibe" we were going for. All of our guests loved the dance music and we were on the dance floor all night long! I only wish I had more hours in the wedding to dance longer! I highly recommend Alex, he was always there to answer an email question right away and made our special day perfect.

  We are so glad we chose DJ Alex Updike! He was friendly, professional, and flexible. He was able to take our eclectic musical choices and turn it into a coherent playlist. We were impressed with how well it turned out and reflected our musical preferences! We had some last minute changes and requests which he was able to accommodate seamlessly and without any added stress for us. Our guests loved him, we got so many compliments about his services!

  We are so glad we chose DJ Alex Updike! He was friendly, professional, and flexible. He was able to take our eclectic musical choices and turn it into a coherent playlist. We were impressed with how well it turned out and reflected our musical preferences! We had some last minute changes and requests which he was able to accommodate seamlessly and without any added stress for us. Our guests loved him, we got so many compliments about his services!

  Alex was incredible from start to finish. We met him in a Zoom meeting…on wedding day, it was like he KNEW us with the perfectly timed playlists. He made everything effortless. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

  Created my EXACT unique vision!

  From the beginning, Alex made us feel so supported. He listened so intently to what our vision for our wedding was and he totally delivered. We wanted our wedding music to be different & unique. Everyone at our wedding was blown away by Alex. We felt like we were at a Rufus Du Sol concert in the desert. He kept everyone on the dance floor for 4 hours. My mom even said her and my aunt were just chatting on the dance floor because that’s where everyone was and they wanted to be part of it. Thank you Alex for making the planning process and our wedding PERFECT.
