From day one working with Katie, I felt like our wedding was in good hands. We had multiple vendors, a large bridal party, four sets of parents, looming rain, heat, a tipping cake, time crunches, forgotten blankets, lanterns we didn't know where to hang, and it ALL. WAS. PERFECT! From setting the timeline of events and flow of the night, creative suggestions, setup, and overall coordination of our wedding, Katie was truly a blessing!!! It would never have been so beautiful and perfect without her. Thank you, Katie. We worked with Katie at Day Planner Events as the Day of Coordinator for our wedding last June. She was incredible from day one! I was planning from out of town, so good communication was key. Katie consistently went above and beyond to recommend vendors, help with timelines and make sure everyone was on the same page. At one point, she recommended a makeup artist for my bridesmaids and I. After reaching out to the vendor, I found out she had a conflict the day of our wedding. The vendor must have told Katie she couldn't do the wedding because within 10 minutes I had an email from Katie suggesting new vendors. I hadn't even told Katie yet! At that point, I txt my mom and bridesmaids to let them know that Katie was my new favorite person and they should all move over! Seriously though, it is clear that she has an incredible network of peers in the industry that love working with her, which is HUGE when you consider that she is the point person for all of these people so that you don't have to be.
I really cannot say enough great things about Katie and her assistant, Mary. They were both very professional, but really fun and approachable at the same time. The day of the wedding they made our guests, our bridal party and the vendors feel welcome, comfortable and calm. They calmed me down quite a bit too!
The day after the wedding I told my mom that if I had imagined the perfect day, the actual wedding was even better. And, there is no doubt in my mind that Katie and Mary were a HUGE part of making that happen. Katie Stedman was a pleasure to work with! It was our first wedding and it was wonderful to have someone with her experience to facilitate the event. She is very organized and communicates very well. Throughout the planning process she always answered our questions and concerns in a very timely fashion. Katie has great ideas and suggestions to make things flow smoothly and a terrific rapport with the other wedding vendors. We were all able to enjoy our guests and the celebration without a care in the world!Katie Stedman was a pleasure to work with! Katie was absolutely wonderful to work with. I could not have picked a better wedding planner. She put together exactly what I wanted for my perfect day. It could not have gone better. Her and her assistant were completely on top of everything the entire day. I did not have to lift a finger. I was able to sit back and relax and let it all unfold. I can honestly say from the bottom of my heart that coming across Katie was the greatest gift that we were given in planning our wedding. From the moment that I first met Katie, I knew that she was the right fit for us. Having never really planned a wedding before, I thought that it would be super easy... that's until I realized that people actually need plates to eat on, as well as napkins... and so many other little details.
I already had our photographer, venue, florist, my dress, and caterer, so we really just needed help from that point forward. Katie signed on to be our Day of Planner and things got better and better every day... if I had known now how helpful she is, I would have hired her before we even got engaged. She's just that good.
Katie is super easy to work with, she responds to emails almost instantly and is the most level headed, sweetest, caring individual that rest assured, you will want to be your new best friend. Katie is the utmost professional and so very knowledgable. She leads with such grace and without imposing any of her ideas upon yours. One of the greatest things about Katie really is when she says, "Love Your Day," she means it. Katie has an amazing gift for listening to what you want and making sure that things happen your way.
Our entire wedding day was absolutely perfect and that is because of Katie. She meshes perfectly with family and friends while keeping everyone relaxed and at ease. Most of our vendors were people that I know personally and every single person had the nicest things to say about how helpful Katie was. Katie exerts a calmness that is simply contagious and such a blessing. Having Katie around, I full confidence that everything would be ok and was able to enjoy every moment of our wedding. She gets it.
I have never so wholeheartedly believed in recommending anyone as much as I believe in recommending Katie. She has an amazing gift and I guarantee that you will absolutely love her.

I didn't originally think I needed a planner of any type. I planned my own wedding for a year and a half after I booked the venue, so I felt prepared. That started to melt away around the last six months or so when I realized just how many people and how much stuff was going to happen on my wedding day, even though I planned a smaller wedding with a quiet dinner reception.
I had recently been to a wedding where the bride did nothing but run around. All day, in heels and her dress, she ran frantically from one place to another - it's a wonder she even showed up in any of the photographs. I realized I didn't want to run. No, I wanted to walk serenely and let everything be taken care of - so I contacted Katie.
We met a few times prior to the wedding and her earnest desire to make my day stress-free made me realize I had to make room in my budget immediately for her day-of-coordinator package. It was easily in the top 3 for the best things I did for our wedding.
On the day of the wedding, Katie was there. She was everywhere, in fact. She took care of every detail with an almost magical quality - she asked me a few questions here and there but mainly she was there for me and my husband. She did everything we asked and did it well. I was probably the calmest bride I have ever known because I knew Katie had my back and she would make it happen.
If you're like me and you've done a lot of the legwork yourself, don't let it go to waste. You need Katie. Not only was she wonderful for us, she was great with all the vendors and service people throughout the wedding. Katie is also extemely organized and full of terrific suggestions, but she does not push any of her ideas on you. She just serves as a creative and helpful guide.

This was my daughter's second wedding. The first wedding we tried to do all the planning and day of cordination ourselves. Big mistake. I couldn't wait for the ceremony so I could sit down and rest! The second time around our venue recommended Katie. What a difference! Thanks to Katie I was able to enjoy my daughter's special day and not run around like an idiot. She handled the details, kept things running smoothly and made this very special day even better. I would highly recommend Katie. She kept my daughter relaxed and kept the entire event running. Katie is AMAZING. Truly a life saver. I originally started planning my wedding by myself (a destination wedding at that) and quickly realized how stressful and unprepared I was. That is when I found Katie, and she saved the day. From the very first meeting I was so impressed with how much she knew about the industry, asking questions of my vendors that I would have never even thought to ask. She put me at ease and was there every step of the way throughout the planning process. I was actually able to relax and step back while she took over the stressful parts and when my big day came, I had absolutely no stress whatsoever because I knew she had everything taken care of. The night went off perfectly and that is 100% because of Katie. I thought I could handle planning my own wedding and at the urging of my Mom I hired a day of coordinator and I am so thankful and happy that I did!! Katie is a wealth of knowledge and brought up so many things that I hadn't even thought of and on the day of she handled so many little issues (that I was completely unaware of until the next day) before they even had the opportunity to turn into something bigger (like people wanting to sing karaoke with the band!)

Katie is an amazing Day of Coordinator. I had done most of my wedding planning myself and needed someone to help ensure everything ran smoothly on the Big Day. She met with me in person a couple of times to go over my vision for the wedding (which she executed perfectly). She happily answered the overwhelming amount of emails I sent her. Each time I interacted with Katie, she made me feel comfortable that everything would go perfectly and that it would be a fabulous event (which it was!).
She was not only attentive to the details I had planned for my wedding, she was so thoughtful in the little things that she did. Throughout the evening she kept finding me to ask me if I needed anything from her. For our send-off she personally handed out bubbles to make sure every guest could help us be sent off with a bang. She made sure my new husband and I had our getaway car stocked with two complete meals from the caterer and bottles of water. At the end of the night, I was so impressed with her attentiveness to the little details I had not thought about. She really helped me to "Love My Day," every aspect of it.
I would highly recommend Katie to any bride. Whether you are looking for full wedding planning (Katie has lots of great ideas) or for a Day of Coordinator. I can not say enough great things about Katie. Our wedding was absolutely perfect. My husband and I had planned on just whipping it all together on our own, but our venue had required us to have a day of coordinator. We of course waited until the very last minute to find out. Luckily we were married on a Sunday in the off season so Katie, our saving grace was available. She met with us right away. She was ALWAYS available by phone calls, texts, emails--smoke signals too I'm sure had we decided that means of communication, she would have made it work. Absolutely incredible this woman. She heard what we wanted and put EVERYTHING together. We had a blizzard the day of our wedding so we had to move a lot of our details from plan A to plan C and Katie made it all work together in a moments notice. Even given all if the sudden changed of our day, my husband and I agree we wouldn't have changed a single detail about the day. Not one. It turned out even better than our plan A. Katie helped with every detail while respecting our vision and personal touch in our details. She took on extra tasks--always to ensure things would be perfect. If it weren't for Katie our weddi. Would have been absent of flowers, center pieces, flow, decor, photo album/guest book--it would have been an empty room with no itinerary. She helped keep the night moving along. I'm rambling, but really it's because Katie was and will be for every event she does, an absolute God send. This woman is a sweetheart and a powerhouse. She puts J. Lo (the wedding planner) to shame and my only wish is that I could get married every weekend so I could work with Katie more. Love her. Little did I know how much help that both Katie and her husband, Ed, would be the day of my wedding. Katie and I met multiple times prior to my wedding, and she helped to ease much of my wedding anxiety. The day of my rehearsal, Katie's husband, Ed, showed up to help things run smoothly. He ensured that things on my wedding day would run to my specifications (and that he would make the hard calls!) Then, the day of my wedding, The Waldo Canyon Fire broke out. Katie and Ed worked seamlessly to ensure that my caterer, cupcakes, DJ, and reverend would make it up the mountain. Where do I begin? I can't say enough great things about Katie Stedman and how wonderful she is to have for your wedding! None of my family, friends or myself had to worry about anything leading up to the wedding or on the actual day as we knew all the details were taking care of with Katie being there. It made the day so enjoyable and worry free!!! Everything went extremely smooth and I look back on our wedding knowing it was absolutely perfect and just like we wanted...I attribute this to Katie and her professional attention to every detail of that special day! Not only is Katie extremely professional in event planning but one of the most delightful people to be around! I highly recommend here for any bride to be...she will be your life saver and best friend!!!!!Where do I begin? Katie was a joy to have involved in my wedding! She was responsible, professional, and a friendly addition to all the wedding mayhem. After our band began playing, I was so grateful when Katie found me on the dance floor and asked if I needed anything to drink! As a busy, preoccupied bride I was grateful to know the coordination of events was in Katie's capable hands and I could enjoy my guests and new husband!Katie was a joy to have involved in my wedding! She was responsible, professional, and a friendly addition to all the wedding mayhem. When Katie offered her services as a coordinator for my wedding, I knew she would be a valuable asset, I just did not know how valuable. Throughout the process Katie was able to take our ideas and inspirations and thoughtfully expand on them without losing the true essence of me, my husband, and the experience we wanted to create.
No matter how much preparation you put into your big event, there will always be little things you can not plan for. That is where Katie’s skills truly shine. She resolved mole hills before they became mountains; most were unbeknownst to me and my husband until long after the “I dos”. She was the source of constant peace in what could have been a stressful day. Katie took pride in the fact that it was her job to ensure we enjoyed ourselves. And when we reflect on all the beautiful moments that unfolded that day we can assuredly say we did.
They say it’s all in the details, if that is true then hiring Katie means you will have details in spades, and then some. Although we are genuine in our appreciation of Katie’s time and services, we can never say thank you enough.
