The Crowne Plaza was a picture-perfect venue. Our guests are still raving about their food, the ballroom carpeting is non-clashing so that you can pick any wedding colors you like without worry, and the hotel rooms have the most gorgeous decor I have ever seen. Their staff was extremely accommodating and flexible throughout the entire process, especially Erica Urban, who was so helpful that a wedding planner wasn't even needed! They went above and beyond to make sure that we had everything we could have ever wanted and more. Even though I was willing to do some of the set up on the day of because I felt I had extensive decorations, Javier and his team took care of absolutely everything so we were able to enjoy our entire day. After all that was taken care of, including the cake, you would assume that prices would be unreasonable; but on the contrary, of all the hotels in the Chicagoland area that we consulted with, they had the most value for the least amount of cost. If you are still looking for a venue, your search ends here.Sent on 10/25/2016

We looked for a nice venue close to the airport, as most of our guests were from out of town and we wanted it to be convenient for them. We were looking for reasonable prices both for the event and the guest rooms, and to serve great food for the guests.Sent on 12/02/2011
We had both the ceremony and the reception at the hotel. The reception was at one of the O'Hare ballrooms which was perfect for our party of about 100 guests. Our point of contact from the hotel was Sarah. She was absolutely amazing. Though we did try to keep it simple, we did have some special requests, and she always responded positively and promptly. The only extra we had to pay for was to offer three meal choices instead of just two. The night itself was completely worry-free for us, and everything went out exactly as we planned it.
Being anxious before the ceremony, we hardly touched the hors d'oeuvres, but all the guests mentioned how good they were. For main course we served filet mignon, tilapia, and a vegetarian strudel. The tilapia and the strudel were good, but the filet was absolutely amazing.
Beside being close to the airport, it was also a 10-15 minutes walk from the station with trains to the city, so it was very easy for the out-of-town guests to go see downtown Chicago. Parking was free to all of our guests. And getting married at the hotel we were also pampered with the bridal suite which was definitely a plus, including chocolate and Champagne.
We were promised that there would be free shuttle from the hotel to the train station, but when we arrived there the receptionist said they will only provide free shuttle to the airport, so that was the only thing that did not go as planned. Note also that the guest rooms do not come with breakfast, and a full breakfast costs $15/person. We couldn't get any volume discount on that.
Bottom line we were very happy to have our important day at this hotel, and we highly recommend it.

The Crowne Plaza in Rosemont is an affordable, budget-friendly venue where we held our ceremony and reception this past May. The whole hotel has an "airports" theme which is cute. The ballrooms are spacious--the Balmoral Room where we had our cocktails is beautiful. The walls are mediocre, but the lighting and decor is modern and eco-friendly. For those interested in an outdoor ceremony, there is a large patio available, but in my opinion, the noise of the planes flying overhead from O'Hare Airport is too loud to make it a viable option. If you want to use the patio, make sure to come and check it out during the day of week and time you would have the ceremony so that you can evaluate yourself how loud the noise is during that time. The catering options are varied, and we were able to have two specialty drinks without an extra charge.Sent on 06/16/2012
Our venue coordinator, Sarah, was very responsive and accommodating. I gave a few marks off because we had some issues when she seemed to forget or retract a some verbal promises made during a meeting. We did resolve those issues to our satisfaction, however.

The contact person changed on me 3 times at this venue. That's why I did not list a contact name. But all 3 were super cool and I love the venue. They have a charming waterfall fountain in the atrium where our cocktail hour was placed. A MUST! Better than the patio which is basically the parking lot. We lucked out to only have one other party going on on the same day of our wedding night. Otherwise, the hotel is really beautiful. We also celebrated our 1 year anniversary at the hotel. It was complimentary.Sent on 10/20/2008

The hotel room itself was decent, the restaurant had a good breakfast buffet, but the actual communication regarding the room block was not as smoothe. At times it felt like my questions were an inconvenience.Sent on 09/21/2017

My husband and I had our reception here. We war VERY upset and still are to this day of things that happened on our wedding day. Which have not seemed to be a big deal to the hotel staff.Sent on 07/25/2012
When we were looking for a venue all of the places I wanted were already booked up for the summer. My husband was the one to find this hotel. We went and met with Sarah. She was who sold it for me. She wines and dines and tells you EVERYTHING you want to hear.... She seemed prefect. Throughout the WHOLE planning time she was very quick to response and seemed always accommodating. However the day of the wedding there were things many problems.
After we had put down 75% of the money she emails me to let me know that there is a body building thing going down below us. She said there will be a chance that when my guests are going from one point of the hotel to the next that we would run into them.... asked if we would switch the ballrooms. This is 2 months to the wedding date. My mom is 50% paralyzed... so moving our ballrooms would have not worked. She came back stating that they would make the times work so we would not cross paths and put up black curtains to make sure that my event stays private... there were NO curtains and this event of the body builders was a competition right next door. During the speeches all you could hear was the music next door. THEN we had body builders coming into our room and even going into the photo booth. There was NO avoiding them they were walking around with basically nothing on a llllll over the hotel.
In my contract it said complementary parking. Well due to the body building event the garage was full and they had my guest parking and having to walk 10 minutes to the hotel. They also had to PAY for the other garage and due to people not bringing extra cash my dad and my mother in law was giving our guest money to pay for their parking.
We were also told that the hotel bar would open up from 12 to 2am. Well that never happened.
Some how we are missing 10 hotel guest bags...
Oh and Sarah said she would be there the whole time... she left and put someone else in charge. Instead of telling me she was leaving she told my dad. When the issue with the bar happened that is when I found out she was gone. And no one there to help figure out the bar issue.
Sarah is a great SALES person...
GREAT THINGS ABOUT THIS PLACE
the chef is amazing the food was great
the wait staff was great
the room was beautiful
other than that.... nothing. The hotel staff was rude and could careless and like I said there has been NOTHING resolved....
