  Marina is the owner and operator of this consummate flower design business. I come from a family of florists, but Marina's taste and design skills were amazing! I had met with several well known florists but Marina had a refined artistic sensibility that stood out, and I knew after our first meeting I wanted her to do my wedding. Even though I had specific ideas in mind, she understood my vision immediately as I discussed my clippings with her. She is a sincere and lovely person and offered her creative suggestions generously. I'm a perfectionist but I knew I could trust her artistic sense! She delivered as requested and both my wedding and reception were more beautiful then I could have imagined! Most of our guests' (and my husband) complimented Contessa's stunning flowers for our fantastic day!

  Marina -- you are absolutely phenomenal! I cannot express how beautiful your work was for our wedding. We could not have been happier with the flower arrangements you did for our wedding. And they lasted for 3 weeks afterwards! Thank you for helping make our wedding so wonderful. And thank you for all the meetings and support and flexibility. You were a true pleasure to work with and I am so glad to have met you. BEST FLORIST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  Contessa Flowers did a fantastic job with our flowers! Marina is very knowledgeable, friendly, and easy to work with. Our flower arrangements turned out beautiful and many guests commented on the spectacular table arrangements. All in all, the day was a success!

  Marina provided the most exquisite table arrangements for the dinner reception. The bridal bouquet included gorgeous ivory roses which complimented the dress perfectly. Marina was easily accessible, and very easy to work with. She went out of her way to provide quality service.

Not only did she nail it with the flowers but the flowers set the mood of the wedding and made the reception sparkle.   Marina and Contessa Flowers saved the day! After an aborted first attempt with a florist who just didn't "get" us, Marina leapt into the fray. She seemed to instantly understand our vision of a clean, simple, but just a little unusual ceremony and reception, and wow--did she deliver. Delightful to work with, possessing a true artist's eye, creating beautiful arrangements from the alter to the table to the bride's bouquet, and providing remarkable value, I would come to Contessa Flowers for anything and be confident in the product. It was a magical day--made more so by absolutely PERFECT flower design. Thanks, Marina. :)

  I knew I wanted Marina to be my wedding florist and decorator the very first time I met with her. She is a very sweet and a very warm person. I am a perfectionist and I met with many other florists. I liked Marina because she was very creative and had an impressive resume. She worked over in Europe, so I liked the fact she had a worldly view and style. She also was able to deliver and decorate flowers to a wedding during a snow blizzard last year, so I was confident she would follow through for my wedding. I am not a visual person, so I had a hard time communicating to her my thoughts and ideas. However, Marina was able to pick up on my style and able to figure out my vision within minutes of listening to me talk. She came up with such unique and artistic ideas that none of the other florist had mentioned. What I liked most about Marina was she was honest with how she felt. She gave her opinion if she felt something may not look right. I really respected that, because my invitation lady would constantly tell me what I wanted to hear or constantly say, “Whatever you like.” Marina was sincere and I valued her opinion. She was comparable in price to the other florist and was able to decorate and not just drop off flowers the day of the wedding. She helped us stay within our budget and told us what was necessary and not necessary to have for our decorations. She met with my Mom and me several times. After each meeting, we were very confident she would deliver a stunning presentation. She was very quick to respond with any questions or concerns I had along the way. I did get a little nervous towards the end not being able to visualize the flower arrangements. Marina offered to create a sample arrangement at no charge. However, after meeting with her for the final time, I was so reassured that whatever she would create would be gorgeous. For me that is saying a lot, because I am a huge perfectionist and control freak! The day of the wedding she surpassed my expectations. The flowers itself were fresh and gorgeous. Her decorations were breath taking. In the ceremony room, she decorated the fireplace with candles and flowers. She also surprised us with complimentary flower petals for my flower girl. In the reception room, she made every table look absolutely jaw dropping. We received so many compliments on the flowers arrangements and decorations. Marina really went above and beyond for my wedding. She created the exact look we had been talking about throughout our planning process. She really came through and I will be sure to pass her name along to anyone who needs a florist/decorator. From one bride to another, if you want the most artistic, creative, reasonably priced and reliable florist, hire Marina!! :)

  The flowers were absolutely gorgeous! I did not know what to expect or even what flowers I wanted when I first met with her but she knew my style and was extremely helpful. On the day, I was blown away with how beautiful everything looked.

  I absolutely loved working with Marina. I wasn't exactly sure what I wanted for my flowers...I just had a sort of cloudy vision of it. She helped me figure out exactly what worked...I trusted her, too, when she told me some things wouldn't look as good. I highly recommend her!!!

  Marina did an excellent job with our wedding flowers. We had a tough time deciding on what we wanted to do, but Marina was very helpful and came up with a few ideas that we could implement. She has an excellent eye for what looks good and will tell you whether or not your vision will come out well. Her value is excellent and her arrangements always come out looking beautiful.

  Marina made the most beautiful bouquets and centerpieces for our wedding and reception. We hit a snag trying to find one of the flowers we had seen in a Martha Stewart wedding book and she could not find them anywhere. She was able to pull it all together at the last minute and everything was stunningly beautiful.

  On May 7th, we walked into the reception in Annapolis and saw the most stunning floral arrangements we've ever seen! Even the guests who would typically not pay attention to the flowers were commenting at how beautiful they were. Thank you Marina for your creativity.   I would highly recommend Marina's services! She actually did flowers for my husband's retirement reception at the US Naval Academy officer's club, and they were absolutely stunning! She is very attentive, professional, and offers awesome customer service. She was great to work with and gave us exactly what we wanted, and to top it off, her prices were wonderful! I would gladly pay more for the awesome services she provided - so she is a great value without compromising quality or customer service! She took all the worry out of planning the flowers for the reception.

  Marina does fantastic, beautiful, breathtaking work, and is a pleasure to work with. She did an amazing, top-quality job on the floral arrangements for my wedding and reception, which was held at the U.S. Naval Academy. She is easy to work with, and is accustomed to working with long-distance brides. I would definitely recommend her to future brides!

  Working with Marina from Contessa Flowers was so easy and delightful! We met 1 time throughout the year and everything that was described during the meeting was actualized on the day of our wedding! My bouquet was stunning and the ceremony flowers were full and fresh. One example of this florist's flexibility occurred 3 days before our wedding when Marina called to finalize last-minute details about the arrangements. I mentioned that I wished I'd ordered 2 more alter arrangements but that it was a little late to do so. Marina told me it was completely feesible and she would deliver the 2 extra arrangements with the rest of the delivery! I was blown away that I could add on to my order that late in the game with no hesitation on her part! The arrangements were beautiful, and I'm so glad we ordered them! I would definitely use Marina again for another event!

  Marina worked with me to help me purchase bulk flowers for the ceremony as well as create two beautiful ceremony pieces. I received so many compliments on them. They were two amazing splutures that really helped give definition to our bayside wedding! She was so easy to work with and such a pleasure to work with!

  Marina with Contessa flowers was a joy to work with, the timeliness on the day of the event was a bit of a problem. The flowers were late to arrive at the church and caused some stress for our photographer. However, when we arrived at the reception location the centerpieces looked beautiful and I was thrilled with the results. Throughout the planning process she was easy to talk to and willing to work within our budget several times. She was creative in designing centerpieces that were exactly our style and worked so well for our black and white afternoon wedding. I would recommend her to another bride-to-be!

  We worked with Marina through a uniquely challenging time for her, but she remained committed to our wedding throughout. Our first meeting with her was so fun, she was into our ideas but very honest about what would or wouldn't work based on our budget, the season and venue. She is a no-nonsense lady but also friendly and fun to work through ideas with. We were pretty hands off in flower selection, and I didn't realize that the florist is someone I likely wouldn't see on our wedding day. There is something very reassuring about working with a vendor who is so respected in her community (Annapolis/Baltimore). By the time our wedding rolled around I knew we could trust her to do a great job, and she did. Bouquets, boutonnieres, centerpieces and ceremony flowers were all perfect. I only knocked down a few stars for responsiveness, but we also booked her very far in advance and I may have been a little aggressive up front (or just an excited bride to be!).
