  Great experience with Rafael!

  My parents hired Rafael to play our ceremony and cocktail hour. He has an extensive list of songs on his website and is happy to learn additional pieces as requested. We selected pieces from his repertoire for the processional and recessional and put together a list of our favorites as a starting point for cocktail hour, and he was extremely easy-going and accommodating during the selection process. On the wedding day, he arrived 30 minutes before the ceremony and played classical and jazz as the guests arrived, which was a lovely way to welcome everyone. He is an excellent musician and executed beautifully. We would happily recommend him to anyone looking to add an extra touch of class and romance to their wedding!

  Rafael was very professional with our emails back and forth for the ceremony and cocktail hour. I met him the day of our wedding, he was extremely flexible with our wedding that day. It ended up raining and we had to move the wedding inside. Everything he played was beautiful and he is very skilled. We picked out some songs for him to play during special parts in our wedding about a week before and he was able to play them for our wedding. Highly recommend him for your wedding, everything was perfect. Rafael is such a nice person and great to work with.

  I always knew I wanted to have a classical guitarist for my wedding ceremony and Rafael Scarfullery was just PERFECT on our wedding day! I never had the pleasure to meet Rafael in person, but he was super responsive to all my emails, incredibly professional, and a wonderful musician. My friend sang "Ave Maria" during the ceremony while Rafael accompanied her on guitar with ease and elegance; he even arrived early that day so they could rehearse together. He learned 2 songs for the ceremony and even played some cute children's songs for my little niece and nephew pre-ceremony. Many of our guests commented on his music and we just loved the simplicity of one piece of instrument for the whole ceremony. Rafael - THANK YOU so much for your talent and setting the peaceful tone and mood for our ceremony - you're brilliant!!!

  Rafael was wonderful! We selected the genre of music for pre-ceremony and post-ceremony and it was amazing (from what I hear, I was the bride so unfortunately I missed the pre-ceremony music). We selected the songs for walking down the aisle and it was absolutely beautiful and what I had always pictured. He was awesome to work with and made it easy and convenient for us so it was one less thing we had to stress about!

  Classical guitarist Rafael Scarfullery played at our wedding during both the ceremony and the reception. We feel incredibly lucky to have found him! He learned two pieces we asked him to play that were not already in his repertoire, and he played them with breathtaking beauty. He brought his own amplification equipment, and he sounded great, despite the not-so-great acoustics in the parish hall. He is an amazing musician, lovely to work with, generous with his talent, totally professional, and kind.

  This man made the cocktail hour at my wedding romantic, beautiful and unforgetable. I never got to actually meet him because i did not attend my cocktail our I only got to watch it on video but i recieved my video back and omgosh i regret having a dj for my wedding I wish i would have chose him to do the whole wedding he is so talented and he came all the way from VA to baltimore city and hardly charged anything. Its been 3 months since we got married and people in my family have not stopped talking about him and how beautiful the music was and now that i have seen the video I see why. This man has every good review i could ever give he was a kind hearted hard working very talented person and im very thankful for the beautiful music he provided us during our cocktail hour on august 2.

  Rafael plays beautifully and helped make our wedding day magical! He played before and during our ceremony, as well as during our cocktail hour. In addition, I was set on having a small group of my friends sing a song that had special meaning to me. Rafael offered to learn the accompaniment for free and it sounded beautiful! He was a breeze to work with, conducted himself professionally, responded quickly to our emails, and was incredibly flexible. So many of our guests raved about the music -- it was beautiful! Rafael, you are a true talent and such a warm, pleasant person!

  Rafael provided the music during our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour thereafter and I could not be happier with his services. He was responsive to emails and requests, and even learned 3 songs for us! His beautiful playing truly added to an already beautiful day. His talent is apparent, and he was worth every penny (I should mention that his prices are ridiculously reasonable for the Charlottesville area). He was even gracious enough to play for an extra half hour at a discounted rate when our timeline got a bit screwy. I only wish I could have thanked him in person…thank you Rafael for making our special day that much more special!

  Rafael did a wonderful job with the ceremony music for our wedding. He was very helpful during the wedding planning process and quick to respond to all of my emails. Once I told him the kind of music I wanted, he helped me narrow down my final selections. I would highly recommend him.
