    A Fairytale Dream Wedding!

    Where do I even begin? Frances and her team at Charmed Events are truly wedding planning magicians! With 14 years of experience as a Floral and Event Designer myself, I've had the privilege of working with some of the best planners in California. When it came to planning my own Carmel Valley wedding, there was no question in my mind - Frances was the one!

    Having collaborated with Frances over the years, I've always been struck by her professionalism, attention to detail, and genuinely warm personality. Her design aesthetic is just dreamy - romantic, modern, and effortlessly sophisticated. There's a certain magic in the weddings she designs, always infused with personal touches that make them feel special and unique to the couple.

    Throughout my wedding planning journey, I gained a newfound appreciation for Frances from a client's perspective. She not only listened attentively to our ideas but also transformed them into a breathtakingly cohesive design concept that perfectly reflected us as a couple. Every detail was just beautiful! Also, amidst some issues that arose with the venue, Frances proved to be our steadfast ally and advocate, navigating unforeseen challenges with grace and diplomacy, ensuring every detail was ironed out.

    As the wedding approached, Frances introduced us to her principal planner and right-hand woman, Emily. Together, these two are a powerhouse duo! While Emily handled logistics such as transportation, vendor coordination, and timeline, Frances focused on executing the design vision flawlessly. As a complete bonus to their already awesome services, Frances also personally designed all of our signage, menus, seating charts, and programs. Personally, I would have had her design my invitations had I known of her talents sooner!

    On the big day, Frances and Emily were our guardian angels, orchestrating every moment with precision and grace. Emily's attentive care during the morning-of made me feel like a princess. She brought me and my bridesmaids delicious bites, made sure my dress and veil were perfect during first look photos, and her calming presence helped to ease my nerves. Meanwhile, Frances was busy overseeing the vendors, and set up of the ceremony and reception, which were honestly executed to perfection. The reveal of each space took our breath away and exceeded all expectations. It was truly a fairytale come to life!

    One more thing I want to mention about these two was that they really listened to our request to make sure that the wedding didn't feel rushed, and that we even had some moments with just the two of us. The timeline was so thoughtfully crafted that on the big day, it really didn't feel like the "blur" that everyone talks about. We were able to be present with each other, and even visit with our guests during cocktail hour and reception. There was a sense of ease about the day that allowed me to really just take it all in, and I think that is very special.

    Thanks to Frances and Emily, our wedding day was stunningly beautiful, perfectly orchestrated, and absolutely unforgettable.     A review that is long overdue! We are probably saying a lot of what has already been said… Frances and her team at Charmed Events Group absolutely DELIVERS!! A little background on the type of bride/groom we were—we did not have a clear-cut vision of exactly how we wanted our wedding to be. All we knew was that we wanted it to be modern and whimsical but also fun yet romantic… When I was on Pinterest, I saw everything under the sun and loved it but it made it very difficult to narrow down exactly what goes well with each other—there were just too many ideas that looked great but of course wouldn’t look great combined together! Frances and her team helped to refine our vision and had the patience to help us with multiple drafts of inspiration boards and multiple drafts for our save-the-date and other graphic design needs for our stationary and other details.

    Our wedding ceremony and reception were both held at the City View of Metreon in San Francisco and we were initially worried about how the space would work since it was a humongous space with capacity of 2000 people but our wedding would only be for 200ish people. We were able to transform the space into a cozy environment yet utilize highlights of the space.

    We were anxious going into the process since we live in Boston but Frances was definitely super available to respond to any angst we had. She took care of sending out our save-the-dates and invitations as well as receiving our RSVPs. Charmed Events Group even created all the details we loved such as our ombre geometric shapes used at the dessert + sweetheart table, our “lovestruck” table numbers, heart pieces guestbook, chevron arrow escort wall, infinity napkin holders, to name a few.

    And on the day-of, everything was as smooth as it could be! If there were any issues or tardiness in prep, I didn’t know about it. We both felt it went seamless! We had so much fun and really enjoyed our day.

    Frances – what would we have done without you!?!?

    Considering how quickly the wedding budget adds up, my fiancé and I always thought that hiring a day coordinator was not high on our list of ‘must-haves’. But two months out and it dawned on me that to really enjoy our special day, we would need help. Our wedding day was a bit complicated due to two venues located 1 hour apart. We had our ceremony at Thomas Fogarty Winery, and the Chinese banquet reception at Yank Sing in the atrium of the Rincon Center. So, in order for things to run smoothly and efficiently and for US to enjoy the day, we realized we needed someone to handle all the logistics and coordinate with all the vendors.

    From initial contact to the wedding day, Frances was just awesome! She’s extremely professional, very attentive by email, highly organized, and provided many great and creative ideas (she has a design background). As we were walking out of our first official meeting with Frances, my then fiancé turned to me and said, “she’s a good hire.”

    Frances was also very helpful as a go-to person for random wedding questions, and she was only an email away. She offered her insights in wedding decor when asked, AND, she even single handedly designed (after discussing different ideas with us) and created the decor for the Chinese tea ceremony we had at the winery because we didn’t have enough time to do it. This was above and beyond her day coordination package, but Frances is great like that. She doesn’t nickel and dime you for everything. The best part of having Frances as our day coordinator was she never treated us as just business partners. She was a friend who truly cared about our wedding. If you need help, she was there waiting to lend you a hand!

    I can’t imagine what my wedding day would have been without Frances. Having Frances on board as our wedding day coordinator was definitely one of the best choices we made! She’s absolutely worth every penny! We highly recommend her!!

    I think many couples view a wedding planner as an 'extra' service, but after getting married, hiring a wedding planner was one of the best decisions I made. My wedding planner saved me so much stress, by handling day of activities, coordinating between vendors (and my parents), and adding a more elegant touch to the overall reception. I was able to enjoy my wedding, instead of worrying about making sure the venue was set up, that vendors had shown up, that the seating arrangments had been made, that favors were distributed...the list goes on.

    Charmed Events Group, LLC did an excellent job making our wedding vision come true. Frances listened to what we wanted in our wedding and gave us great feedback. She took care of many of the logistical tasks and design. For example she ordered our table decorations and also created our ceremony brochure/fan! She met with all our vendors and made sure everything would run smoothly on our wedding day and it did! We didn't have to worry about a thing! I highly recommend Charmed Events Group for your future events needs!

    We wanted someone that would make us feel safe leaving our special day in their hands. We didn’t get that with them. They dropped the ball on some minor issues, which was to be expected but they screwed up in some big ways and never really apologized or accepted responsibility for them. I ended up not feeling listened to more often than I think is okay for a $10,000 “full service” contract.
