    Perfect Venue

    This was the first venue we looked at and it was perfect in every way!! Lynda and her husband are incredible and have made the venue stunning over the last year. They are easy to work with, flexible, and helped so much in the process. I had the perfect wedding. The grounds were beautiful and we didn't even use half of the building. They did an incredible job setting up and have an abundance of decorations to choose from. 10000% recommend.

    Dream Wedding

    Carver Event Center was amazing for our wedding. The grounds were beautiful. The owner's were friendly, super helpful and communicative. They set up and take down all of the decor. They even have a room full of decor that you can use, instead of buying all new decor. My wedding had no hang ups, and went smooth. I would definitely recommend them.

    Fairytale perfection!

    Everything was so magical because of Lynda and her entire team! Every detail was planned out and executed just the way we envisioned! So many options in one beautiful place!

    So happy with the my wedding

    Throughout the entire process Lynda was helpful & easy to work with.
    With weather questionable the day of she was flexible with allowing me to make a call on ceremony location the morning. The venue is beautiful & doesn’t not need a whole lot of decor to make it beautiful.
    And there are several options for wedding & reception areas as well as a parking lot.

    Thank you for helping to make my day amazing 😉

    Carver Event Center

    Absolutely loved our venue and the experience from beginning to end with this venue. Lynda was a delight, so organized, helpful, and quick to communicate. Highly recommend to anyone who wants a beautiful wedding with an enjoyable experience organizing the big day.

    Perfect Wedding Day

    We had an impossibly perfect wedding day, thanks to Lynda and her team at the Carver Event Center. The decor was perfection- far exceeding my expectations. Lynda (owner/coordinator) was there every time we needed her, from the moment of booking through the end of our wedding night. She was even there helping with clean up after our guests had gone home.

    Their rates are super competitive- and you not only get a beautiful, historic venue; they include tables, chairs, linens, plates, service ware, glasses, decorations of varying styles- everything! They even had umbrellas for my bridal party to hide me behind as we walked out to the ceremony site- so adorable! Not to mention a beautiful little room for the bridal party and a huge, super cool space for the men to hang out in before the ceremony. The bridal suite includes a huge mirror that takes up almost the entire wall, and several smaller mirrors for your bridal party. The men's area had a pool table, card table, basketball hoops- the works! Our entire wedding party had the best time, and my guests repeatedly told me it was one of the most beautiful weddings they had ever attended. There was plenty of parking, which was a concern at some locations, and the most adorable little bathrooms for our guests outside.

    I feel like it is fair to mention the hesitation we had before booking. We were a bit concerned about the location and the surrounding areas. The venue is right off Hwy 224, and we were nervous that road noise might be a problem, but it wasn’t! We never heard anything that distracted from the ceremony or reception.

    I cannot say enough great things about the venue. The care and attention to detail they put into taking care of their guests is truly exemplary. I highly recommend the Carver Event Center as an excellent choice for your wedding or any other event.

    This venue was PERFECT. Lynda and her husband are the owners and they went out of their way to make sure my nephews wedding went flawless. The scenery was gorgeous and elegant. I highly recommend Carver Event Center and can't say enough about them.

    Amazing venue and staff!

    This venue is beautiful and romantic! Thank you to Lynda and everyone else that made our day so peaceful and beautiful! They were all so helpful.
    It rained on our wedding day but Lynda made sure everything worked out!

    Brides beware

    Tip for Oregon Brides!
    Beware of Linda and The Carver Event Center in Damascus, OR. The venue is beautiful however, Linda is extremely unprofessional and will renege on her contract. First of all, part of the event package includes the use of her decor closet and her/the staff setting up/tearing down. The morning of the wedding, the bride and bridal party had to bust ass to get decorating completed as Linda only had one other staff member helping her because “it’s a small wedding” and “they aren’t used to Monday weddings.” Throughout the day she made snide comments about the bride and wedding guests accusing us of being wasted which was not true at all. We were allowed to consume alcohol in the bride and groom suites while getting ready until 2pm. The boys had some beers and the bride was drinking champagne. Everyone was behaving appropriately. Around 3:30 it was time for the ceremony. As soon as the wedding party exited the building Linda went through everyone’s belongings without mentioning it to anyone and collected all the alcohol in the suites then hid it from us. It wasn’t until one of us went back to the bridal suite that it was noticed our bottles had been removed. Mind you, no where in the contract or during planning was it stated that Linda would be rifling through our belongings and removing anything from our possessions. When confronted, Linda told us that she would not be returning the bottles until we were in the car leaving the venue. Linda continued to make comments about our event/guests to a staff member while passing guests. Then to top it off, the contract stated that food and dishes were to be bussed before we left and that we could return the following day to collect decor we brought with us. When the bride went to confirm that that’s what we would be doing Linda got snippy and said that if we wanted to do that we needed to be there at 8am. Later, she decided that picking up the following day wasn’t acceptable and told us we had to completely be packed up by 10pm, reneging on her contractual agreement. This sudden change in plan caused us to cut the wedding short in order to be loaded up and leave the venue. I do not recommend working with Linda or booking your wedding at the Carver Event Center. Linda caused unnecessary stress for the bride and greatly affected the wedding experience.

    Carver Event Center's reply:

    We never want your special day to not go well. We setup the tables and chairs put on the linens, dishes and set out the decor that you select in our planning meeting. Communication is very important if at any time you need help with the items that you want to add to the decor we would only know if you tell us. You can bring very little and use our decor for no additional charge or bring a lot that is up to you. It is always a good idea to hire a professional coordinator if you are unsure or need someone with experience to make you day go smooth. Our contract states load in / load out is to be done within the set hours of rental agreement. Our outdoor hours are 11am to 10pm, indoor hours are 11am to 12 midnight. Because we are a smaller venue we try to be flexible. We allow you to come early in the morning with no additional charge to help give you more time. If you need to leave items for a vendor or rental company to pick up the next day that can be prearranged. All cleanup is done the evening of event. Items to be pick up later can be stored in our shop. At no time during this event was the contractual agreement reneged upon. The alcohol agreement is that any alcohol in dressing rooms be removed before guests arrive. All alcohol served must be done by a licensed/insured Bartender. At no time are anyone's belonging gone thru. The alcohol agreement is gone over multiple times at planning, rehearsal and initial walk thru. The host of any event has been informed of the alcohol agreement. It would not be safe to leave unattended bottles of alcohol sitting around. Any alcohol outside of the bar found on the premises will be stored away until the hosts are ready to leave. If at any time during an event you have a concern or don't understand the process let us know. We strive to be as professional and helpful as possible.
