Maggie Sent on 08/21/2018Working with Chef Shane and his team was absolutely one of the best decisions we made when planning our wedding! Catering is one of if not the biggest expense when planning a wedding, and it was important to us to work with someone that we could trust with our event. The food was spectacular, and we had several guests tell us it was the best food they've ever had at a wedding! We wanted a southern style menu and Shane absoultely delivered...I still dream about his fried chicken. We had a wedding of about 130 and decided to do family style salads and bread at the table, and then dinner served buffet style. They had the buffet moving very officiantly and made sure everyone was fed quickly. We also rented the table settings from Shane and they looked exactly like we had hoped.
Shane was a pleasure to work with throughout the planning process. He was always very responsive to my emails with questions and flexible with any changes. His staff was extremely friendly and proffesional the night of our wedding. We also really enjoyed our menu tasting experience! You're allowed to bring four people, so myself, my fiance at the time, and my parents were all able to taste a multitude of dishes. We left stuffed with boxes of leftovers knowing our catering decision was made. -

Tiffany Sent on 05/21/2017WOW, I cannot say enough amazing things about Chef Shane and his team at Caroline Street Catering! We asked a lot of them and we received everything we wanted and more. We asked Chef Shane to create a menu of Korean food based on recipes and tasting tweaks while also incorporating some of his creative additions and a small portion of outside food. The food exceeded our expectations and our guests would not stop raving about the meal! We were told by multiple people that our wedding food was the best they have had at a wedding. On top of that, the service on the day of was exceptional. My husband and I kept hearing that we would not eat much on our wedding day so we should try to fit some snacks in. Let me tell you, this was not the case. A couple servers kept checking on us specifically to make sure we were fed and got to taste everything. We were brought cocktail hour hors d'oeuvres while we were taking photos and served a huge dish during dinner. Guests commented on the how lovely the servers and bartenders were and we were so pleased to hear that the excellent service was not just for us. Chef Shane was so easy to work with and we could trust that he would deliver every step of the way. We are so happy with our decision to hire Caroline Street Catering and I have full confidence they would make any other couple happy as can be on their wedding day!!! -

Chrissy Sent on 09/20/2016Chef Shane was an absolute DELIGHT!!! He is so kind and so great to work with. We met him for the first time at our tasting. We had the joy of eating first and trying all the samples he prepared for us. Once we were done we got to meet Chef Shane and he is just so nice and easy to talk too. He wants your day to be just as great as you do, so he pays full attention and makes sure that you get what you want. He was very responsive with emails and phone calls. His staff was wonderful! We had them caterer our rehearsal dinner and our wedding and both nights everyone was hard working, kind, and very responsive. I would highly recommend chef Shane and his crew. Everyone at our wedding complimented the food and staff for both nights and it was just a great feeling to know we picked the right caterer! Choose Caroline Catering and I promise you will NOT be disappointed!!! :) -
User2790532 Sent on 09/28/2016Shane and his team are so easy to work with. I originally found and reached out to Caroline Street as he was on my venue's preferred vendor sheet.
I have dealt with quite a few caterers professionally in DC planning galas and graduation events. However, none are as responsive, flexible, and accommodating as Shane. Not only that, but you feel as if you are working with a small family business, yet he delivers the best food. Another added bonus was our tasting for 4 people was free before we even committed to him, which is almost unheard of these days.
Our wedding guests raved about the food and service provided.
If we ever have the need for catering again, I will absolutely be using Caroline Street. -
User2617985 Sent on 05/23/2016We were married yesterday and Caroline Street Catering made our wedding effortless. Chef Shane and Anthony were exceptional from the moment we contacted then. Our tasting was quickly scheduled when we contacted them and I can tell you that the food was as good at the wedding as it was at the tasting. We had numerous people tell us it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding. I am still in love with the BBQ pork cake and bang bang shrimp appetizers and the tomato bacon jam chicken, but all the food was raved about.
But more than that, Anthony and Chef Shane went out of their way not only to work with our budget but to make sure they were doing whatever they could to make our lives easier. Anthony even called me a few days prior to the wedding to ask if there was anything else they could do. We had a full open bar and dessert bar and both were exceptional. No hidden fees or issues and their staff helped clean up the entire event.
They deliver on all of their promises. Seriously can not thank them enough. Do not hesitate to call them.Caroline Street Cafe & Catering's reply:
