  Engaging, bilingual DJ who will keep everyone on the dance floor

  It was a pleasure to work with DJ Maestro from beginning to end. During our initial meeting, he shared a preview of the questionnaire that he would have couples fill out in the lead up to the wedding. As I looked through it, it was clear that he tried to make the process as easy as possible for the couples he would work with. With so many other pieces my husband would need to organize, I appreciated his approach and knew I wanted to move forward with him.
  Even though he offers packages, they are flexible, and he is willing to swap in one service for another. We were able to add another hour to the package we ended up going with since we did not opt for a gobo—it was great to be able to keep the things we wanted and deprioritize the things we didn’t.
  In the lead up to the wedding, he was prompt in answering all the questions and emails I had. When we asked for his opinion related to the order of our initial timeline for the reception, he gave us his offered us several recommendations to consider. We appreciated his thoughts as someone who has been to so many weddings! As we got closer to the big day, we scheduled a time to meet again to go through all the details and it worked out that we could meet in person. This final meeting was super helpful to make sure we were giving him all he needed, that we could all ask questions of each other, and make sure we were all on the same page in terms of what my husband and I wanted.
  The day of the wedding, he showed up right on time. He handled all aspects of the day—ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. Ceremony went off without a hitch! It was clear he coordinated with the officiant and photographers so that everyone knew where to be and what to do when each song began. He was even kind enough to offer us a second microphone at no cost for a reading our friends would be doing at ceremony—so very appreciated!
  Since it was so cold, we moved cocktail hour indoors and this was no issue as he had been to the venue before and knew where to go and how to set up. When my husband and I came in after photos, the room was buzzing with music and conversation—perfect!
  He helped us kick off the night with a salute to our parents, our grand entrance, first dance, speech and dinner. His recommendations for the order of the night ensured that everyone was in their seats when and that no one else was on the dance floor so we would be the focus.
  I have to say the commentary he provided throughout the night was awesome. I had debated whether to get an MC and DJ, but he has the voice and personality that make him two in one. He made the dollar dance so entertaining. He expertly coordinated with the photographers to make sure we got a fun picture with all the tables and announced our sparkler exit so everyone could join us outside.
  As far as the dancing goes – many of my guests mentioned how sore they were the next day because they had danced so much the night before. We had mostly given him our preferred genres that he should play versus an actual playlist (thought we did make some specific requests) and he delivered the energy based on what we gave him. We had advised we also wanted an hora loca – a high energy dance hour. While we had already ordered light up swag to hand out during this time, he surprised us with balloons for all our guests to help them get in a real.serious.dance mood. It was a fun and unexpected bonus that really took the party to another level!
  Our big day would not have been the same without DJ Maestro! He catered to all our musical tastes and that of our guests – from banda, to reggaeton, merengue, cumbia, hip hop and more. He was super helpful by sharing his expertise in the lead up to the big day and since he is bilingual, he could deliver important info in Spanish and English so all our guests felt included. When it was time to go, the send off he organized with the remaining guests was a sweet surprise and fun way to end the night.
  Trust DJ Maestro with your wedding and special event entertainment and music needs…he will absolutely deliver.

  Excellent DJ!

  DJ Cosme was a great fit for us right from the start! He helped explain all the musical opportunities in a wedding that we hadn't even considered, and worked to make sure as much of our niche music choices as possible made it into our wedding. He was really flexible with our unusual music requests. He was such a professional while working with our tight day-of timeline and he did an excellent job helping us select dancing music. Some personal favorite highlights included incorporating swing songs into our dancing music (we met swing dancing and our first dance was a swing song), and smoothly rewinding my favorite song so I could dance to the whole thing with my new husband (I was away from the dance floor when it started playing).

  Best DJ for our wedding... and probably the best DJ experience at any wedding

  Cosme, DJ Maestro, is an amazing DJ and overall person. Here are reasons you should book him for your wedding or event.
  
  1. He is super helpful. He respects your opinions and wishes but will chime in to give his opinion, which is good because unless you've been married before or helped plan a wedding extensively, you are probably a little naive about the flow of events or what works/doesn't work.
  2. He works well with other vendors. We had our wedding at Whitetail Ridge in Yorkville, so he was very familiar with the venue and coordinators since he is there a lot. Even if he were somewhere unfamiliar he has the type of personality to reach out to people at the venue and make sure everything works.
  3. Get the photobooth through Cosme. It was only $500 for 3 hours, lots of fun, and they give you copies of everyone's photos. We have a whole binder now of family and friends having a blast!
  4. Cosme let's you make your own playlists but is flexible with the music choices. He was in tune with what guests wanted, and people were dancing the entire night! He knows how to keep a party going!!! He feels out the vibe of your guests/wedding, that's for sure.
  5. He is reliable and will get back to you fairly quickly. He is a schoolteacher so expect a bit of a lag during his work hours, but once it's close to your event, he has your event on his radar.
  6. He uses a Google Doc to organize what you want. You basically pick everything and Cosme executes it. Inside the doc, there are helpful links to help you pick out songs for different events such as the Bouquet Toss, cake cutting, etc.
  7. He won't play anything inappropriate unless you put the explicit version on your sheet/playlist. This is good if you have a lot of family there. We did add some explicit songs and he had no issue playing them with our permission, but it is good to have a DJ who will filter out explicit if you have a lot of old people/kids there.
  
  All in all we were very impressed. I can't remember how much we spent, which must mean it was a good deal. We booked through DJs 4 U but I'm not sure if you can just book with Cosme directly. He is overall just a great person and puts in 110% effort to make sure your event is the best it can be!!

  The best DJ ever!!

  DJ Maestro was a big hit at our wedding! We was very professional and helped us through the music selection process. He was attentive to our emails and always communicated back quickly! Our guests loved him and he made sure everyone had fun on the dance floor! Definitely a must hire at your DJ!

  He was just simply out of this world, he went above and beyond for us.

  DJ Cosme - DJs 4 U

  5 stars for DJ Cosme (DJ Maestro)!! He was fantastic from the moment we had our first consultation. My wife and I appreciate how thorough and organized Cosme is with his planning before the big day. He had all the details and songs organized and then really helped to keep us on track during the wedding ceremony and reception; I don't think we could have done it without him. During the reception he kept the party going and even had a few surprises for us and the other dancers that helped to elevate the party. Our dance floor was full all night long! He was quick on his feet and was able to adapt to whatever came up. When another wedding was playing loud music, he even grabbed extra speakers for us to drown out their music! We highly recommend DJ Cosme for your wedding!

  Wonderful Wedding DJ

  DJ Cosme did a fantastic job at our wedding! He met with us over Zoom in advance and thoroughly explained over everything with us for the day of the wedding. We shared some songs we wanted to play and he added in similar songs based on our music taste. Everything went perfectly. He had such great energy and our dance floor was full for the entirety of the wedding. He even surprised us with a fun balloon release that we and all of our guests loved! He did a wonderful job helping make our day perfect and we would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for a fun and very professional DJ!

  Professional MC and awesome DJ!!

  Cosme made our wedding day as seamless, worry free, and fun as possible! From the first day we met with him we could tell we were in good hands- his experience and professionalism was obvious and evident throughout the entire process of planning and executing our wedding day. Early during the planning process, Cosme had great advice and input for us while also giving us options to make the day our own and customize it to our liking. His planning tool made it extremely easy to piece together the different elements of our wedding at our own pace. On the day of the wedding, we were extremely impressed with how Cosme facilitated all the events throughout the night with such amazing vibes! We even had a last minute song change for the mother/groom dance that he handled with no issues whatsoever. The photo he provided was an absolute hit and the music that he played throughout the night was a perfect reflection of what we had requested from him! We couldn't be happier with our choice in Cosme as our DJ and are so thankful for him helping us throw an awesome wedding reception!

  Amazing DJ!

I immediately knew I wanted to book him. he is extremely responsive and patient and will craft the perfect playlist and flow of events for your special day. He kept the dance floor busy and everyone enjoyed his work. He truly made our night unforgettable and I cannot emphasize how polite, nice and accommodating he was.   Kept everyone on the dance floor!

  DJ Peter came highly recommended! He took pleasure in working with us along every step of the planning process for our wedding! We had a virtual meeting at the beginning that allowed us to get to know him and for him to know us.   DJ Peter was a wonderful partner to us in making our wedding a dream come true. He made sure to collaborate with us in developing our playlist, ensuring a proper timeline, facilitating the microphone and speakers for our toasts, and more. He has a get-it-done attitude and ensured that every detail went perfect according to our specifications. When we did the conga train, he even went above and beyond to inflate some balloons to spice things up and elevate our experience. The setup itself was beautiful too, and he allowed me (the groom) the flexibility to make announcements on the microphone and skip songs/queue songs at will.

We did not realize just how important the DJ is at a wedding. They do not just play music. They keep everything running smoothly and on time. From our very first meeting with Cosme, it was clear that he was extremely organized and we felt very confident that he would be able to steer the ship at our wedding. All night long and even after, our guests told us how much they loved the DJ. They said he played excellent music and he took any and all requests. He helped everything run smoothly by staying on time and getting important family members where they needed to be even when they were not listening. As the night went on, we had planned on having a late night snack. It was not time yet, but some guests were leaving. Cosme saw us talking about it and asked us if he could help.   DJ Cosme was the best from setting up our songs for the ceremony through the reception. He played hit after hit including many songs that we requested from our playlist. We danced the whole night long and he even had balloons for us. Cosme was very detailed and organized through the whole planning phase to make sure all of our requests were met. He was very communicative, answering all of our questions. He is also LGBTQ+ friendly, and made us comfortable working with him! I would definitely recommend DJ Cosme and would hire him again for any DJ needs.

  My wife and myself had DJ Cosme come out for our special day and he was such a great help! We had a lot of unexpected things occur and he rolled with it and made sure everything went extremely smoothly. Would highly recommend!

  Sean! I will say that my leaving your celebration to go get wooden chairs from somebody's house is definitely a first for me!
