    Pros: The venue itself is beautiful, especially the waterfront grounds. The food was all very good, especially the crab cakes! The wait staff (shout out to Gabby!), bartender, chef, and director of operations, Kurt, and the manager Ashley, did a fabulous job the entire night. They were professional, friendly and competent. Many guests complimented the food, the staff, the managers and the beauty of the venue.
    Cons: We did have some issues that unfortunately produced a lot of stress prior to the wedding. At the end of our final meeting, 3 weeks prior to the wedding date, our wedding coordinator at Bleue’s told us that there was a wedding ending exactly one hour before ours started (I was told that no other event was in our room back in June).
    The vendors were unable to access our event space until 1 hour prior to the ceremony start which created issues. The staff also left up a stage for the head table from the previous wedding that day, and when we noticed, told us they could not take it down. The manager had them agree to take it down however this took up an additional 25 minutes after our ceremony was to begin. The wrong color uplighting was used and the wrong plates were used. Since our ceremony was delayed by 25 minutes, the photographs were off schedule, and our reception was also delayed. This delay led to a condensed time frame which created a multitude of other issues.
    The staff should have been honest about the stage instead of expecting that we would not notice. We recognize that nothing is ever perfect, and we did not expect perfection. However, after clearly and repeatedly going over details via the in-person meeting, phone calls and emails, and submitting required forms, we should not have experienced this many issues.
    Ultimately we were happy with how everything turned out, but we achieved this result with a lot of work and stress on our end, and experienced problems that could have easily been preventable had our contract actually been followed

    Where to start? After we booked the venue, it became increasingly difficult to receive email responses. We became quite frustrated trying to get answers to our questions. A lot of the times, the answers were quite vague.

    After being promised that we would be able to get into the wedding suite early so we could do our first look pictures, when we showed up to the venue, they made us wait to get in because they weren't finished vacuuming, which put us a little behind and added stress on me.

    The day-of coordinator seemed to forget that it was my big day, since she complained to me about my guests and my DJ.

    We had a premium open bar (we had a lot of Russians at the wedding and we know how they drink) and were supposed to have 2 bartenders. Only 1 showed up & they didn't get a replacement. The one that showed up was friendly and did a good job, but there was almost consistently a line to get a drink (which actually put our introductions at the reception behind since the people that had been waiting in line didn't want to sit and lose their place in line & have to wait in another long line later).

    On the plus side, all of our guests complimented the food.

    At the end of the day, I was disappointed with the service and wished we had gone with another venue.
