Beaumont Hotel & Spa Reviews

We held our late-summer wedding reception in the outdoor courtyard and it truly was magical! The space is classy and elegant, but not over-the-top fancy - the exact combination we wanted for our mountain wedding. We had about 125 guests and it felt intimate, but not crowded with seamless use of the indoor/outdoor areas. Jennifer was great to work with and always responded to my questions in a timely fashion. The staff on the day-of was on top of everything and the whole night went off without a hitch. I'm so happy we will always have wonderful memories of our special day at the beautiful Beaumont in amazing Ouray.

We had a lovely summer wedding reception at the Beaumont Hotel. The building's beautiful historical details are preserved for guests to enjoy, and the hotel proprietors are very pleasant to work with. We rented the hotel for our wedding party, which worked out wonderfully. The courtyard was our reception venue, and it looked great with cozy lighting against a backdrop of mountains. Jennifer and Chad personally oversaw the night's operations so that everything went smoothly. Many thanks to them! We plan to visit the Beaumont again in the future.

My husband and I changed our wedding reception venue to the Beaumont courtyard two weeks out from the big day and Jennifer and Chad were very accommodating and reassuring that their team could pull it off within the short timeline. In our time of panic about changing everything last minute, they were the ones who kept us grounded throughout the process and we felt confident that they could make our dream reception come true and they did. It could not have been more perfect!

They worked with our wedding planner to ensure that everything went seamlessly and helped her to get an understanding of the courtyard layout since she does not live locally and did not have the chance to see the venue until the day of. They were able to get all of our local favorite alcohol options, which was a nice personal touch to have for our guests! They also worked with our caterer and DJ ahead of time to coordinate what was needed by them.

And the courtyard itself is gorgeous! It made decorating much easier as everything was already so beautiful between the colorful flowers, the amazing mountain views, and the unique historical architecture. There was plenty of room for our 85 guests and having the option of the connected indoor restaurant / bar area made for a perfect layout to keep the buffet, drinks, and cake indoors and safe from the outdoor elements and also provided a nice place to set up a photo booth!

We could not be happier with our decision to have our wedding reception here. The venue, the owners, and the staff were the absolute best and provided us with the greatest memories for our special day!

From the very beginnings of planning my wedding it was such a wonderful experience. It all started when I met Jennifer and Chad, the very professional and detail-oriented owners of the Beaumont Hotel. Since this was a destination wedding, I very much appreciated their excellent suggestions regarding the planning and catering of our wedding. In addition to their suggestions, they embraced flexibility to accommodate my special details and touches.
When the special day finally arrived, Jennifer, Chad and the entire hotel staff were very attentive to make sure all my special details were in place as we had discussed.
The icing on the wedding cake (with the cake artist, by the way, being another wonderful recommendation!) was the incredibly gorgeous venue of the historical Beaumont Hotel. We will long cherish the memories of the hotel's classically elegant outdoor courtyard with the backdrop of the San Juan Mountains rising up behind it as we said our vows. Completing our perfect wedding was the spacious and opulent Victorian lobby and bar area which was meticulously maintained by the Beaumont's superb staff, as well as our expansive Presidential Suite that easily accommodated all of our special guests for a relaxed, post-wedding gathering.

While planning for our winter Colorado wedding (we are from Michigan), I researched several ski resorts and other hotels for our ceremony and reception. In addition to skiing, we also love to ice climb and thought that Ouray would be a fun and unique setting for our wedding. By searching for locations in Ouray online, we found the Beaumont Hotel. We visited the Beaumont in the fall and as soon as we walked into the hotel, we knew it was the perfect place for us to get married. The hotel is beautifully restored, small and has a great feeling to it. The owner, Jennifer and her staff were so friendly and helpful. We did not look at any other venues after walking into the Beaumont!

In the months before the wedding, Jennifer was so helpful in planning the menu, the ceremony and reception. We ended up booking the entire hotel for the night of the wedding which allowed us & our guests to have it all to ourselves. On the day of the wedding, Jennifer and her staff were so helpful, they not only made sure everything was perfect but, also helped calm my nerves! Since the Beaumont is so beautiful, I only got 2 flower arrangements, no other decorations were needed which made things a lot easier!

The dinner and desserts were made by the hotel chef and the entire meal was fabulous. We continued to get compliments from our guests for days following the wedding on how great everything was at the Beaumont. After the wedding, my husband and I stayed for 2 more nights and continued to enjoy being at such a lovely hotel.

We are already looking forward to coming back to the Beaumont in the future to celebrate our wedding. Ouray and the Beaumont will be our special little place!

This venue is perfect for a mountain wedding. Absolutely beautiful indoor and outdoor options, we loved the venue itself. HOWEVER, I would very strongly urge anyone planning a wedding here to hire a wedding planner. The owner was extremely unhelpful as our "Day Of Coordinator". We paid her well for it and she actually asked me two days before "Who will be keeping things on schedule?", which was a joke. She barely took on any roles and the day had some major hiccups due to her lack of communication. Although an open bar, their bartenders defaulted to top shelf liquor each time which seemed a bit criminal to me. Truly, the Beaumont is the Spirit Airlines of wedding venues. You will be impressed with their low sticker price, but they will nickel-and-dime you for anything and everything. Be very careful negotiating.
