Made my day so easy!
We loved our venue! Auburn Valley Golf Club was an excellent place to get married! They have a restaurant and bar, which made the food and beverage planning so easy! Their wedding coordinator Angela is also very good at what she does, she listens very well to your wishes and gives great suggestions for things that she knows might go well with your wedding. On the day of the wedding, they were all on top of their game. I never felt stressed at all - we were able to order food to the bridal suite so that we weren't starving by the time the ceremony started. On top of all of this, the grounds are beautiful and make for amazing photos! Our guests loved our wedding and kept emphasizing how beautiful the venue was.Sent on 05/15/2019

From the start I was so impressed by this venue. We lost our original venue exactly 4 months before our wedding, not a good feeling for a bride who is getting married on a Saturday in June!! I am SO GLAD that we went and looked at Auburn Valley after we lost our venue and they had our date still! It is absolutely beautiful, picturesque. The wedding site is a separate area up on a hill, solely devoted to weddings. They are constantly doing updates. There are beautiful natural looking rock walls, wonderful landscaping with flowers and trees, as well as a white trellis. It is surrounded by oak trees. It looks over rolling hills. I chose to have my reception inside. The reception room absolutely takes advantage of the beautiful view of the valley. After dinner my guests were able to watch the sunset through the almost panoramic windows.Sent on 07/17/2013
Not only was I impressed by the beauty of the venue, but also by how accommodating Tracy and all of the staff were. They were willing to work with us on so many things, including offering a variation of a main dish, dietary needs of our guests, allowing us to bring a piano out on the lawn, and so many more things. I thought all of their prices were extremely fair. Their contract is very clear, no hidden costs that we discovered. Actually, most things they include at no extra cost - an arch at the wedding site, lights hung inside the reception area as well as on the patio, colored linens, and various centerpiece items that we could borrow to use to save money.
Tracy was extremely helpful and responsive to all of our questions leading up to the wedding and Paula was a huge help the day of. Paula really helped take all of the stress off of me as the bride.
The guests were very happy with the appetizers and food, everything was very tasty. Much better than the average wedding food.
I could not have been happier with my wedding. I would highly suggest checking Auburn Valley out.

My daughter was married on Sept 7, 2013 and I am still reliving the memories of this wonderful day. This venue is awesome with its beautiful views and as the night settles the place becomes magical with the white lights both inside and outside. We worked with Tracy who was so very patient in answering all our questions especially as the wedding date approached. Paula, Kimmie and all the staff on hand the day of the reception were incredible in working behind the scenes to ensure our guests were taken care of. Guests were very complimentary of the food and the venue. This venue offered value, quality staff, good food and flexibility in working with us every step of the way. Thank You Auburn Valley!Sent on 09/15/2013

We looked at this venue for our wedding, the ceremony site is beautiful!! The only thing that I wasn't quite sold on was the reception area, it reminded me of a restaurant, there wasn't any high ceilings which it was I was really wanting. She showed us the outside area where you could have the reception which seemed like it could be turned into something nice as well.Sent on 03/10/2016
Auburn Valley Weddings's reply:Thank you so much for the feedback- we truly appreciate it. We are glad that you liked our outdoor spaces (which tend to be our most popular). The panoramic windows in our dining room would look great with some high vaulted ceilings. We hope that you find the perfect venue for your special day and that you keep us in mind for any future events! Happy Wedding Planning!

Tracey and Kimmie at AVGC were amazing! I was a very detail oriented bride that needed to know how every little thing was going to happen or look. Kimmie appeased all of my concerns and handled every request that I had with ease. The day of my wedding was absolutely perfect and smooth with no hiccups. My bridesmaids and I were able to come in the day before the wedding (even before the rehearsal) to set up the reception site. They had all of the tables set up for me, including linens, so we were able to set each table and know how it was going to look the next day. Kimmie did mention, however, that her staff would do this for me in the even that I wasn't able to. Tracey coordinated the rehearsal and the ceremony itself and did an excellent job doing so. We had some very non-traditional aspects to our wedding and she handled each one in stride. The day of the wedding, everything went absolutely perfect. The food was excellent and we are still getting compliments on that and the staff service. The value for what you are getting with AVGC is unbeatable. They are the most reasonable in the area (BY FAR) and are the best at what they do because they've been doing weddings here for years, and you can tell that they know what they're doing. Although it's a bit back in the hills for guests to travel, it's completely worth it and I would do it all over again. I am a 100% satisfied bride and my wedding day will be remembered as the perfect day thanks to AVGC!Sent on 11/07/2012

AVGC's staff was so incredibly helpful and gracious to us, especially when our planned outdoor reception venue went indoors due to the weather change. They did the best they could to still meet our needs and made the place beautiful for us! My entire family and wedding party loved how easy it was to work with Arianna and her friendly staff. Thank you AVGC!Sent on 07/13/2016

The venue was beautiful and well worth the value. The catering through this venue was absolutely delicious. The open bar package is well worth the cost and they will stock the bar with any special requests. One issue we had was with communication between the personnel working at the venue. We spoke to one person for 6 months about the planning, scheduling and making specific arrangements for the ceremony and reception. But the day before our wedding, at our rehearsal, we met a completely different person who was "handling" our wedding. This would have been fine, however she knew nothing about our specific requests, predetermined wedding schedule or even or seating chart. This created unneeded stress and aggravation and this lack of communication between employees is something that the wedding venue needs to improve.Sent on 09/17/2013

Great location. Nice views in all direction and the ceremony site is a little removed from the road. Our photos came out great. It was a good value, but I think they have raised their prices. Also - the staff have changed since our wedding. We had a very professional coordinator and great staff. I hope the new staff is as good. We looked at many locations from Sacramento to Auburn and this was the best-looking site of the bunch. Food was better than average wedding fare.Sent on 09/23/2008

We had our wedding here on May 20, 2017. We picked this venue because we wanted an outdoor ceremony and reception, and we are so glad that we did. Our guests commented on how beautiful the ceremony site was and how much they enjoyed the scenery. The venue has a shed full of supplies that they allow you to use to help brainstorm ideas or to help decorate your ceremony/reception site. We were able to bring all of our decorations up on Friday to store in the shed for Saturday's wedding. We held our rehearsal on Friday morning and were able to run through it twice before they needed to maintain the area. We were able to start setting up for the wedding at 10:00 am on Saturday morning. (Tip: Make sure to lock the door to the bridal suite so you don't have golfers walking in-and-out throughout the day to use the restroom.)Sent on 06/02/2017
Arianna, Kimmie, and Jason were very helpful. Kimmie and Jason had to do a bit more for our wedding as Arianna was on maternity leave, but they did a great job. They were very accommodating and did the best that they could to make sure that our wedding day went as planned. There were some minor glitches (short-staffed, food a little late, wrong color napkins, no USB pictures behind the bar during the reception, and guests thinking the bar closed early), but everything else was perfect. Besides guests thinking that the bar had closed early, the rest was minor stuff that I noticed (and it was very minor).
Our guests really enjoyed the ambiance of the venue, and the venue made for some great pictures. We were able to set up lawn games on the putting green area and set up a Photo Booth behind the reception eating area. I would recommend visiting the reception site at the time of day and in the same season if you plan to use the outside patio as our head table was directly facing the sun for about an hour, but it was not anything that could not be managed. The food was delicious and all of our guests loved it.
We absolutely recommend this venue!!

Beautiful Venue, Great Food, Questionable Management
I'll start off by saying our wedding was perfect. Everyone had a good time, the food was great, the venue was beautiful, and everything went pretty smoothly. My biggest issue is that the wedding coordinator changed 5 times in the course of a year. Every time I needed to contact the venue about the plans for our wedding, I was always met with "Hello, I'm your new wedding coordinator, ____ no longer works here." The other staff who had been there for a while were very attentive and knew what was going on, but the new coordinators never seemed to be aware. The one who actually worked my wedding was horrendous, and the best man did her job for her (thank goodness). My biggest issue was that the bridal dressing room was not made private prior to us arriving, so we had people walking through the room to get to the bathroom, without anything separating the dressing room from the bathroom itself. I had to ask for a divider to be placed to block off the public from walking through. They also had a tournament going on during our wedding, and they were telling people to not walk through but didn't block the reception area off. But still, if you see a wedding going on, isn't it common sense not to walk through the middle of it?Sent on 06/24/2019
Overall, we loved our wedding. We're pretty easy going, and didn't let the wedding coordinator's incompetence get to our nerves. I'm hesitant to recommend this venue to other people solely based on the questionable management. Why do the newly hired wedding coordinators leave so quickly?

The WORST wedding coordinator
If I could rate this zero stars I would. Our wedding was Sept. 26, 2020. It is very unfortunate that they have Kelly Snyder working as a wedding coordinator. She was the most unprofessional, rude, and unaccommodating woman to work with. She is the sweetest woman when she gets you to sign a contract. She promises things she cannot and does not deliver. She came to the bride multiple times to tell her problems rather than finding a solution or fixing the minor issue herself. When booked she said that all issues would be taken care of by her with her coordinating service. Here is just a few of things we had to deal with.Sent on 09/27/2020
1. Took multiple reaching outs to schedule food tasting
2. Very rude at food tasting repeated said “this is how I do it” did not consider our requests
3. Picked the food herself even those bride stated she was allergic to squash. Still served squash because “that is what guests will like”
4. Would not let us meet again until rehearsal to confirm all details
5. Kicked out guests an hour early from rehearsal and was very rude about requesting a run through again
6. Did not arrive to the venue until 12:30 pm and nothing was prepared
7. Did not block off bridal suites as stated in first meeting and day of in the morning
8. Told bride coordinating services included room block, foral, DJ, photography but later did not or coordinate ANYTHING bride found out 3 weeks prior floral was not booked. Bride booked all vendors.
9. Multiple times we were told we could bring decor and her staff would put it up
10. She refused to decorate day of
11. Brides mother and groomsmen were decorating and assembling decor
12. Took pumpkins decor without asking
13. Originally stated food was $55 per head and later charged $65 per head
14. Repeatedly said they don’t normally do food tasting due to the cost and effort involved, although food tasting was included in our contract we signed
15. Kelly did not include the extra hour and tried to charge the night before when on the contract it stated the extra hour.
16. Short chairs at rehearsal. 31 were provided when we RSVPed for 35.
17. Short chairs at ceremony even after requested at food tasting and the night before at rehearsal.
18. Short chairs at reception and did not provide extra seating to accommodate social distancing.
19. Ran out of mashed potatoes
20. Sprinklers went off 2x on our guests and tables
21. Rude to guest who fell and spilt drinks on table refused to change the table linens prior to the meal starting
22. Constantly forcing photography to end early to get food served
23. Did not serve champagne toasts as stated on contract
24. Refused to allow us to use cleaning supplies but forced family to clean locker rooms
25. Passed out glow sticks and tried to force an early out of reception an hour early
26. Accused bridesmaid of stealing Pro Shop pictures. Paula her colleague found them for her in the locker room.
27. Grass for photos was soaking wet.
28. Very rude to brides mother/family and grooms family
29. Told bride and groom before contract was signed that sparkler send off was approved but at food tasting said it wasn’t allowed
30. Told bride and groom as food tasting she could only accommodate 100 guests when we told her our count was about 120 when signing contract.
We are so thankful we have such a loving family that came together to make this day perfect for us. WE WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS VENUE ESPECIALLY KELLY SNYDER. She was the worst wedding coordinator ever!
