  Exceeded expectations

  Martin from Active DJ was amazing! None of our guests (all 165 of them) wanted to get off the dance floor! It was packed and we actually had to get on the speaker to tell people where to go next after the reception because no one was leaving the floor LOL. He was a huge part of helping the timeline and event run smoothly. The speeches and dances couldn't have went better ! He was very helpful in the meetings before hand and was quick to answer though email when I had a question. Look no further - Martin from Active is IT!

  Out of this world

  Shawn was in fact out of this world! From our first conversations to the actual wedding day I trusted him to put on an amazing time for our wedding. I let him pick out the wedding playlist and he couldn’t have done a better job at feeling the room and playing a little bit of everything to keep everyone on the dance floor. All of my guests have been saying how great our dj was. I would recommend you go with Shawn if you are looking to have the best wedding night ever!

  Above and beyond!!

  Martin went above and beyond for our wedding! He took time to know what music we wanted for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. He kept everyone on the dance floor and kept playing hit after hit that had all ages dancing. Everyone raved about how awesome Martin is! We highly recommend Active Entertainment!!

  Best wedding DJ in the area!

  We hired Martin as the DJ for our wedding and were extremely happy with how everything went! He went above and beyond to accommodate the more complicated aspects of our wedding day and made sure everything ran smoothly and we had nothing to worry about. His song selections during the reception were on point and despite a good number of our older guests leaving early, he was able to keep the small remaining group of us on the dance floor until the very end and it was a blast. He is super professional, punctual, communicative, helpful, and an all-around awesome guy! 10/10 recommend Martin or any of the other guys at Active for your wedding, you will not regret it!!

  Danced all night!

  Active Entertainment was amazing! They were very professional and we loved the services they offered - we opted for the "All the lights" package. Shawn was our DJ for our 110 person NYE wedding on 12/31/2023 - the countdown he helped with was flawless. I loved speaking with him on the phone. He was so easy going and executed our wants perfectly the day of! The dance floor didn't die down for a second!

  Shawn with Active DJ was the best DJ we could have ever asked for!! Our guests absolutely loved him and he played songs that kept the dance floor packed the whole night. We can't imagine having anyone else DJ our wedding. He is professional and extremely friendly! The owner of the company kept us in the loop via email months before our wedding and was organized. We would highly recommend their team!!

  Perfect Wedding DJ

  Martin was incredible from the first steps to our wedding day! From the zoom calls making sure we had everything together, to making sure our guests didn't get away with making "questionable" song requests, I could not be happier with their service!

  As soon as we booked the Wrightsville Manor my first vendor next was DJ Entertainment. From our initial call with Martin we knew we were in good hands. Our vision of our wedding was for it to be the ultimate dance party and it sure was!
  
  From the moment we came into the reception to the final song it was hard to find a spot on the dance floor - even our grandparents had a hard time sitting! He even found our favorite remix to close out the night that we had spent hours looking for and could not. If you are looking for a DJ who will make it a night to remember and talked about for years to come he is your guy!

Active DJ Entertainment also has online planning forms that are extremely helpful and user friendly. Everyone has been talking about how incredible the music at our wedding was and that this was one of the only weddings where they danced to every single song. I would highly recommend Active DJ Entertainment and especially Shawn Booth.

  Dj was amazing!!!!

  Martin was absolutely amazing!!!! My husband is British so half of our guestlist was traveling from the UK. Since it was going to be a blend of guests I wanted to make sure it would be a blend of music and Martin definitely did his research!!! Dancefloor was filled the whole night and multiple guests asked where I found the Dj and if he would travel.
  
  Martin took the time to make sure the playlist was what I wanted and he really filled me with confidence. It was perfect, couldn't ask for a better night.

  We are so happy that we went with active entertainment for our wedding DJ! Jesse was amazing to work with. He was helpful and friendly during the planning stages and threw a great party at our reception that everyone enjoyed! The quality of their equipment and services are great and they are very professional and experienced. Jesse was great at learning our music preferences and choosing what music he played accordingly. He brought our vision to life with special music requests and provided great advice when we had questions. Highly recommend!

  We got so much more than a DJ working with Active Entertainment and DJ Mike Newkirk for our day! We used Mike for ceremony music and mics, cocktail hour music, and the reception. From the ceremony to the reception, Mike's talent and energy brought an unforgettable entertainment experience that surpassed all expectations.
  
  Despite having a smaller, intimate wedding, we knew we wanted the reception to turn into an epic dance party, and Mike delivered on that and more! He had the dance floor packed all night, making it the heart of the celebration.
  
  Mike infused the entire evening with infectious energy and a well-crafted music mix that kept the vibe alive. It felt like we had a live performance tailored to our tastes, making the night truly exceptional.
  
  The cocktail hour and dinner music were equally impressive, creating the perfect ambiance. Mike took our requests and favorite artists into account, curating a playlist that perfectly matched the mood and atmosphere we wanted.

  Awesome!

  Shawn Booth was our DJ for our wedding in May. He was FANTASTIC! We met with him prior to the event to discuss our playlist/genre choices. We worked with us to provide the best selections for our ceremony, cocktail hour, first dances, and reception. Not only was the music amazing and all of our guests were on the dance floor but the DJ booth set up was beautiful and coordinated with our event. There were also lighting that give an incredible ambiance to the dance floor and event. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Shawn Booth from Active Entertainment!!

Not only was the music amazing and all of our guests were on the dance floor but the DJ booth set up was beautiful and coordinated with our event. There were also lighting that give an incredible ambiance to the dance floor and event. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Shawn Booth from Active Entertainment!!

  Total Dance party!

  DJ Shawn Booth did an awesome job for our wedding! The dance floor stayed packed! Shawn was able to sprinkle in some old hits to keep the older crowd interested and kept the dance tunes coming for the rest of us. We had an absolute blast! Active DJ entertainment also provided lights for during the reception and it was the perfect touch to the dance floor!
  
  Shawn also set up sound for the ceremony and cocktail hour. The ceremony was at the perfect volume and Shawn did great with our song selection!
  
  Active DJ entertainment does a great job of keeping your song choices organized and makes it easy to make a must play list. I would definitely recommend to anyone needing a DJ! They have some awesome packages and make it very customizable.

  Totally recommend this group for DJ!! We worked with Mike and he was amazing. Told him exactly what vibe we were wanting and he came through. We had tons of compliments on our music and the whole entertainment itself with lighting and mics.

  Hiring Active DJ was the best decision we made for our wedding in Calabash, NC. Kaleb was absolutely AMAZING at incorporating both mine and my husbands different tastes in music (Country and EDM) throughout the night and definitely kept the dance floor full the entire night. Most importantly both Kaleb and Martin were extremely easy to chat with and very prompt with their communication. 1000% recommend Active DJ if you're getting married in the Wilmington/Calabash NC area!

  Martin was seriously the best! We couldn't have asked for a better DJ for this special day. I had everyone coming up to me telling me what an awesome job he did! We danced the night away and it was such a blast thanks to him!! 10/10 recommend

  Great DJ & company!

  Martin did a great job for our wedding! We had a lot of music requests (our RSVP's had a spot for songs to play @ reception) and Martin was able to get them all in! Even accomodated a last minute request during reception and downloaded a song he did not have.
