  A fantastic crew to trust with your wedding music and MC duties

  We hired Abernathy for our wedding November 18, 2023. Tina was responsive from the first contact email we sent, and promptly provided us with some helpful information and a contract. As we approached the big day, we were provided a planning packet that covered every part of a wedding celebration and specifically provided options for music preference, songs to play and songs to not, special music choices for different parts of the reception, and other incredible details. We then had a meeting with Tina to review that packet and plan the whole event, and she was very professional and knowledgeable and helped to bring the whole thing together. Before the big day, we were easily able to make adjustments and changes to our plan and Tina was very responsive in adjusting and coordinating, both ahead of time and on the wedding day when timing may have other wise been off or chaotic. She coordinated our first dance, mother son and father daughter dances, all of the music and all announcements over the course of the evening, from announcing the arrival and departure of the trolley service we hired, to our cake cutting, and even cleared the venue for us at the end and gave us time for a private final dance. Tina and Andrea helped make the whole event go PERFECT, which is not at all an easy feat and should not be taken for granted in the context of a wedding. We cannot recommend enough trusting Abernathy with your event or you big day. You will not be disappointed.

  Fantastic DJ for our backyard wedding

  It was such a pleasure working with Abernathy Entertainment for our backyard wedding. We had about 60 guests. I (Bride) have sensitivity to noise levels, and Tina made sure that I was comfortable the whole night with the noise levels. We had a great time and danced more than we thought we would. Tina was such a delight to work with. I myself was the one communicating with all of the vendors in the planning process, and she really made it so easy. She was nice and flexible and really made the day stress free for me. I really appreciated the time she took during our Zoom meeting prior to the wedding. She took her time and was so thorough. Going into the wedding weekend, I was worried about a lot of things, but our DJ was not one of them. I cannot say enough good things about this company and DJ. It is a lot like herding cats to get our friends and family to move to the next activity on the schedule, and Abernathy Entertainment did a phenomenal job.

  Amazing 12th Birthday Party

  I don’t typically throw big birthday parties, but this year my daughter turned 12 and wanted a Taylor Swift themed birthday. So, I knew we needed to find a DJ to help with music and entertainment. Abernathy was the perfect DJ! Tina and Arkia made this a party we’ll never forget. We had about twenty 11-12 year olds over to our house, and they kept them dancing, singing and laughing the whole night! Arkia had such a fun approach with these girls and she made it super fun. They mixed games, with dancing and sing-offs, which was the perfect blend of activities for this age group. Thank you, Tina and Arkia, for a night we’ll never forget!

  Abernathy made my wedding amazing!

  Dj Dan and Dj Tina did an amazing job at my wedding!! They helped me through every step of the process from choosing songs for cocktail hour, to what music I would use when walking done the aisle and for the reception afterwards. I’m so happy we choose them, they made my wedding so unbelievably fun!!

  Tina and her team at Abernathy Entertainment were absolutely wonderful for our wedding! They are very prepared professionals who helped us plan our special day from the moment guests arrived to the ceremony to the reception, down to the minute. The Abernathy team also helped us curate our musical selections with a really well thought-out worksheet and timeline. My husband, family, guests, and I really loved the music, the emceeing, and and the thought and care put into our event by the team. Thanks for making our big day go off without a hitch!

  The Perfect DJ

  We appreciated the attention to detail and preparation from our Abernathy Entertainment DJ. Great care was taken to first listen to us and understand what we wanted from our DJ experience. Every detail was discussed. We had very particular music and lighting requests and all of our expectations were exceeded! Our Abernathy DJ was not the center of attention, but kept our reception moving perfectly. We appreciated the high level of professionalism from our DJ. We highly recommend Abernathy Entertainment!!

  Perfect!! Such a fun and energetic team!

  Abernathy Entertainment was amazing! They were accommodating, worked with us to ensure our venue would have the best sound for every part of the itinerary, set up equipment with ample time and stayed positive despite a looming 50/50 rain chance. Luckily, it stayed clear and we had THE PERFECT night dancing under the stars. No sound issues (to my knowledge lol)!! They had the perfect energy for a FUN time and nailed all our "must-plays." Thank you so much for DJing our wedding!! I still get people telling me how much fun they had. Totally recommend.

  Tina and her crew were amazing!! We had some hiccups with the weather but Tina and her crew did a fantastic job of adapting to the new plans and making our day special. Their music sound and selection are top notch! Highly recommend!

  Life of the Party

  DJ Melinda and company owner, Tina, truly provided a fun, tailored, age-appropriate experience for my daughter's 13th birthday party. She and her friends danced for hours to personally picked tunes, lights and engaging activities in between. We look forward to partnering with Abernathy Entertainment at our next celebration.   Absolutely Amazing

  Tina and her crew were fantastic. The music selection was amazing. My guest still talk about it. Even though I planned, decorated my own wedding, I still found the energy to dance all night from the music. As professional as they were, I still felt like I gained 2 new friends.

  Loved Everything about my day!!

  Abernathy Entertainment was AMAZING! They helped make sure my day went as smooth as possible! I did not have a wedding coordinator and these ladies helped make sure everything was done in the timeline that we created! The music never stopped and we all had an amazing time! The photo booth was also a big hit!! Absolutely recommend these ladies for your big day!

  Alexandra & Joey Gerry's beautiful October Wedding at Loblolly Rise Plantation.

  Tina and Rae were our DJ Team on our wedding day. They were an absolute joy to have with us and made me (the bride) feel confident and relaxed the entire night. The Wedding Planner that Tina uses is top notch and lays out the timeline of the wedding perfectly. We highly recommend Tina and her team to support you and make sure you have a great day whatever the event may be.

  Love these Lady DJs!!

  Music was exactly how I had envisioned! Staff was very friendly and I appreciated how the DJs would jump in to the dancing to help get people going! They were avle to accommodate changes in our schedule easily as well.

  Energizing entertainmet

  I cannot recommend a better DJ group to have for your event!
  I just got married on October 8th and the Abernathy group did not disappoint! Tina Abernathy worked with me and my husband countless times before the wedding to make sure we had everything we could ever want for our big day. Tina gets to know you and your partner's style and will pair you with a DJ that best fits the energy you want to bring to your wedding day! Tina was so awesome when it came to music recommendations, day-of tips and tricks, and overall providing us with an insanely detailed wedding day timeline to make sure we kept the day moving along as we imagined! She was also so quick to respond via email to last-minute changes we wanted to make the week of the wedding.
  I know a lot of brides and grooms worry about the dance floor being empty on their wedding night but Krista and Makayla, our day-of DJ's, did an awesome job MCing and kept the party going until the last second of the night. I think almost all of our late-night guests were left drenched in sweat but loving it! They did a seamless job setting up and breaking down their equipment with complete independence. Krista and Makayla also handle several bumpy situations with quick thinking, flexibility, and grace.
  We had a perfect wedding that was insanely fun and full of energy just like we wanted and I know a lot of that has to do with our choice to get this DJ group! Thank you Abernathy Entertainment!

  Wonderful Work and Experience!

  Working with the Abernathy ladies was a great experience! They were very easy to reach out to, were always quick to respond and helped in any way they could. We changed our wedding date and they were very flexible with working out a new date! During the event, they were also very good at directing guests and making announcements, which is very helpful since we didn’t have a wedding planner. The wedding games they offer the couple are also lots of fun and I think all of our guests enjoyed watching. Overall, they did a wonderful job and I would definitely recommend them, as they are very easy to work with!

  The most incredible DJ team!

  The Abernathy DJ team truly went above and beyond with a flawless wedding day. Every meeting and all of the attentive answering my questions leading up to the event, I knew immediately we had made the best choice for our wedding entertainment. They handled audio and music in 3 separate spaces without any problems for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception at Mission San Luis. Their MC and DJ team really brought the party for our reception, packed with a lighting truss and never a dull moment! We wanted DJ's comfortable with playing EDM with a Latin flair and our party was everything we could've asked for! Everyone had a blast!

  AP of Riversink Elementary

  Hired Abernathy Entertainment to DJ our fifth grade dance and it was a smash hit! The music was incredibly appropriate for the age group yet fun and the songs chosen fit perfectly for the event. She has earned our business for years to come in helping make memories for our outgoing fifth graders to take with them for the rest of their lives.

  Hands down the best

  My sister has worked with Tina and the Lady DJ Crew for years with Derby meets, so when I asked about dj recommendations I was immediately given Abernathy's number. Tina and Amanda exceeded all expectations and I couldn't have asked for a better entertainment company for my big day!

  Best decision we made for my daughters wedding!

  We were unsure about having DJs at our small wedding since we had the option of using the venue sound system and a playlist. We decided to go with Abernathy and it was seriously the best decision we made. They are great to work with, very professional and can read the crowd perfectly. They added so much fun to the wedding!
