My husband and I searched far and wide to find videography for our wedding day and likely drove our planner a little bonkers with how particular we were being ;) I'm so thankful our planner referred us to 87 and Smith. Hiring Kyle was easily one of the best decisions we made. Simply put- Kyle is a cinematic genius. He captured everything that was important to us and went way above and beyond expectations to make sure our film was perfect. To top it off, he is so down to earth, kind, and easy to work with. Literally our only wedding regret was not having him capture our rehearsal dinner. Our wedding day was truly magical for us, and he captured it so beautifully. We would hire him 1000 times over again, he was worth every penny. -

Kyle is a magician
I don't even know how to write a review on Kyle because I am still speechless from my video... Kyle was so easy going and amazing to work with. I honestly feel so lucky that we had him! We hired him for our rehearsal dinner and wedding and I am so thankful that we did. He captured our entire weekend. Looking back at the videos now, I am so so happy we made that decision. The way he is able to tell a story through video is unmatched. I feel like a celebrity watching my video- it really does feel like a movie trailer. He captured all of the fun/crazy moments and the loving/sentimental moments and put them together to seem absolutely seamless. I would 1000% recommend Kyle and his team! -

I want to start with this statement: Kyle is a rockstar and your will not regret of working with him.
In general, I felt that wedding planning was stressful and for the vendor that i book with i won’t know the final result until I see the final product. With Kyle you do not need to worry about that! He was truly more than anything that we could ask for. Prepping with him was super easy before the wedding. And during the wedding shooting session, he made us feel like he was barely there. Everything came out naturally from us. Yet our wedding film came out breathtaking! We cannot stop watching the final wedding film. I personally cannot stop raving about 87&smith to my friends. He will worth every single penny that you pay for. -

It was an absolute pleasure to have Kyle filming at our wedding. He was professional, kind, and personable--which is wildly appreciated on such a big and busy day!
After watching our film, WOW is all we can say. What an incredible, well constructed, and beautiful gift. Kyle captured exactly what we hoped and more. He clearly took the time to understand us as a couple and design a film that captured our personalities, emotions, values, and special highs of our unique day. It is not simply a video that shows events of the day, it feels like a film that cinematically captured the best moments & feelings of our wedding. -

A dream!!!
Kyle and his team are the best of the best. From the very beginning, Kyle took the time to truly understand our vision, not only for the video or the wedding, but our vision for the rest of our lives. He is a true professional, and I barely noticed he was there on the day, but he managed to capture every one of our special moments to created the most breathtaking video that we will cherish for the rest of our lives. The film was an expression of who we are as a couple and as individuals. I can't recommend 87&Smith more highly. -

Going into wedding planning, one of the things we were unsure about was whether or not we wanted a videographer because we weren’t sure how often we would watch our video. When you have a videographer as amazing as Kyle, the answer is you watch it all the time. 6 months later and I’m still watching it regularly and it brings tears to my eyes every single time. I watch and I am immediately taken back to the day and all of the love and happiness we felt. This film is perfect and it was worth every penny.
Kyle and his team were incredible to work with. Wedding planning during a pandemic was filled with uncertainty, but no matter what plan we were working with, Kyle was ready to go. I was grateful for his easy-going and calm personality. Even when I was panicking about what our wedding might look like, Kyle had a plan and was ready to just go with the flow. The day of I was so amazed at how he quietly captured our day. Never missing a beat, and getting everything as it was naturally occurring without it being obtrusive. He rolled with all of the random last minute requests I had and captured every single moment of our day.
The final product was phenomenal. The short film Kyle created perfectly captured our wedding and we received so many compliments on it. Due to the pandemic, a few of our loved ones were unable to travel and come to our wedding, and being able to share this video with them allowed them to feel like they were there and part of our day.
Now that the wedding is over, the video is one of the things we have to look back on and remember our day. We knew those memories would be important, but watching it has truly brought us so much joy over the past few months. We are so thankful to have found 87 & Smith because they really captured the essence of our day and we have loved watching our video to relive the love and magic. They really captured all parts of our day and got clips that really reflect who we are. We are so thankful we ended up getting a videographer and more importantly that we found 87 & Smith because we will cherish these memories for years to come. The final product exceeded our expectations and truly makes our hearts so happy.

After planning a full wedding and having to delay due to covid, this whole wedding planning experience was not an easy time for me. Kyle was so helpful and easy to work with throughout the process. My partner and I are extremely awkward on camera and Kyle and his team were able to capture our sweet moments (and funny) without making them look staged or uncomfortable. We are soso happy with our wedding and reception videos and could not imagine working with anyone else.
When my family from abroad ultimately couldn't make it due to travel restrictions Kyle offered to turn around the ceremony video for them within 48 hours of the actual ceremony! Honestly, it was something I had never even thought to ask because I didn't think it was possible. My grandmother and extended family so appreciated being able to see it so soon as if they were there with us that weekend.
I HIGHLY recommend choosing 87 and Smith as your videographer for your special day. -

This was the first vendor we hired and more than a year out! The easiest and best decision ever!! From the very beginning it was easy communicating with Kyle, which made it so comfortable for us because it felt like we'd known each other forever. He was also always on top of everything. Due to COVID-19, our guest count was limited to 45 in DC and Kyle did everything to help us figure out the best way to do a live stream for our family and friends that weren't going to be able to attend. He emailed us all the time with updates regarding this too! I got an email from Kyle the week of the wedding and even the day of the wedding just checking in to see if there was anything we needed! On the wedding day, it was so easy! We knew Kyle (and Ace) was there, but he just did his thing! We received our highlight film and documentary edit in less than two weeks and both turned out BEAUTIFUL, more than I could have ever imagined!!! The soundtracks, the montage, and all the moments one doesn't necessarily think about wanting in their wedding film Kyle got and they were PERFECTION. I was in tears for days, they literally take you back to that moment it and it just feels so real again. -

Kyle was so wonderful to work with and I could not recommend him more for any brides looking for a memorable and beautiful wedding video. Kyle is kind, professional, responsive and was so felxible as we worked through four wedding dates and reschdules due to COVID - which was not an esay situation for anyone involved.
It's so clear how deeply Kyle cares about his craft and the results couldn't speak more for themsevles. Here are just a few comments I received about our wedding video after I posted it on Instagram:
- "But seriously...the cinematography on this is Oscar worthy."
- "Perfectly captured!"
- "I feel like I was there after watching this!!"
- "This video is beautiful!"
Our wedding video truly does feel like a movie. The cinemotgraphy is gorgeous, the song choice was excellent and it makes me tear up everytime we watch it. What's even more impressive is that Kyle delivered the first cut of our video less than two weeks after our wedding. He works fast!
You can not go wrong working with Kyle and I promise you will be so happy with the outcome.

Kyle blew my mind with our wedding video. End of story. He managed to make me laugh and cry in a matter of six minutes with his ability to tug at your heart strings while simultaneously bringing a smile to your face. He completely surpassed any expectation I had (and let me tell you, I was superrrr picky when it came to a videographer). I didn’t want any of this cheesy zoom in, zoom out stuff that I kept seeing. If you are in the market for someone to capture your special event, I beg you not to look any further. It was an absolute delight to work with someone so talented and I will continue to break out my video to random strangers for at least 5 years from now. It’s that beautiful! I have taken too long to write this review because I couldn't not write a whole page.... I had not committed to a videographer throughout wedding planning, and one week before I panicked that I made the wrong decision. Kyle was personally recommended to me in my frantic search, and after a quick message, he and I were on the phone for half an hour, and 3 days before our wedding he made me feel so excited and reassured that we made the right decision! He helped piece together a plan and package that fit us and our timeframe. He admitted he had never booked with such a quick turn around, but he was confident it would be great. He is fun, calm, and so incredibly talented!! I will be forever grateful that I was put in contact with Kyle. The turnaround on his work is excellent, and the videos make my heart melt every time we watch--which is often! All of our friends and family love to watch as well. Not only is the quality professional and absolutely stunning, the ease of sharing and downloading is clean and easy. I don't have enough words to say how happy you made us, and how special it is to have such a beautiful memory of our incredible day! THANK YOU THANK YOU! -

The team of 87 and Smith filmed our wedding on August, 24, 2019. They were very professional and made us feel so comfortable, we even didn’t feel they were there.
The next day, I watched their Instagram story and I saw they were already working on our video.
Few days later, they delivered a video that seems like a wedding that you see in movies. I lost the count how many times I have watched our wedding video. We got so many complements on. If you are looking for a very professional and creative team, they are your go! -

What a great surprise to find a 45 second, beautifully edited video of the magical day, while still in the afterglow of it. We loved watching it countless times, and sharing it.
