74 Events, and specifically DJ Preston Dugger (@djduggz), made our October wedding reception a wonderful experience. Leading up to the event, Gary from 74 Events guided us every step of the way using a well-thought-out questionnaire that gave us a detailed feel for how the reception would work. We then had a call with both Gary and Preston to walk through each step of the night. From that call their depth of experience was evident and we knew we were in good hands. Fast forward to the wedding, and we didn't have to worry about a thing. Once the reception began, Preston took us and our guests through a well-orchestrated evening of great music, no technical issues, clear / concise announcements and an overall wonderful vibe, seamlessly transitioning from background accompaniment for dinner to more energetic music drawing everyone to the dance floor. He was sure to play our favorite pre-selected songs and tie everything together. Our guests had nothing but positive things to say about our DJ. 74 Events and Preston truly elevated our wedding! -

We had a great experience working with 74 Events for our wedding reception back in December 2023. Gary's organization, communication and professionalism was invaluable during an otherwise stressful planning process. Our DJ Dan was also fantastic - he helped us think through the vibes we wanted and not only played everything on our list but also built an awesome atmosphere with a set list based on our preferences. The format of our wedding was also untraditional and both Gary and Dan worked closely with us to make sure that it was the perfect night and gave us extremely helpful insight, ideas and advice. The highest recommendation of 74 Events for your wedding or any other event! -

We cannot recommend 74 Events strongly enough! Gary is incredibly organized and professional and made sure everything ran smoothly from our first meeting through to the wedding and any follow-up afterward. The DJ he connected us with, Roland, was EXCELLENT. Roland met with us before the wedding, to get to know us and our music tastes, and he did an INCREDIBLE job at the wedding. The music was a great reflection of what we said we liked and songs we added to our playlist (but he went beyond our playlist, which we appreciated), AND he executed it all so well—songs faded into one another so there were no awkward quiet moments; he started things off with music our parents would want to dance to; and the vibe just got better from there :) We've gotten SO many compliments from people at our wedding on how great the DJ was!!
I have already recommended 74 Events to another friend getting married this year and would recommend them again and again. -

Working with Gary at 74events and James, our incredible DJ, was an absolute dream. From our initial point of contact, the team was exceptionally organized and professional. Our guests raved about our wedding music from start to finish, which included an eclectic mix of disco, current dance tracks and traditional Jewish songs. One guest commented that the bass on all of our dance tracks by James was "immaculate." James kept the party going and was also very kind and polite to all of our guests and staff throughout the evening. We can't thank you enough for the sonically beautiful experience on our wedding day! -

We hired 74 Events to handle audio and music at our 200-guest outdoor wedding in August 2023. From our first meeting, we were blown away with Gary and Daniel (our DJ)'s professionalism. They were on top of every detail well in advance of the wedding date, making us feel confident and taken care of through the whole process.
As for the wedding day itself, I can't speak highly enough about the work that Daniel did as our DJ. He was communicative (though not overly so) in the lead-up to the event, taking note of our music requests and providing guidance on the basis of his own experience. Ultimately we relied almost entirely on Daniel to put together the music for our reception, and he did an amazing job. The floor was full with both younger and older guests the entire night. In terms of audio work for the ceremony and toasts he was similarly professional and in command. We didn't have a single hiccough at any point in the process--not even an instance of feedback from the microphones.
I enthusiastically recommend 74 Events without qualification. -

Hands down BEST DJ. Because of him our wedding was seriously the party of the year. I had guests coming up to me all night saying how INCREDIBLE the music was. One guest even skipped dinner because the music was so good that she didn't want to wait in line for the buffet and miss the dancing. He totally understood the vibe we were going for, played all of our asked for songs and the ones he added in on top of those were perfection. I seriously can't say enough good things. Working with Gary and our DJ Ben before the wedding was easy, organized and stress free. Across the board A+ experience -

If you're looking for a DJ to make your wedding unforgettable and get everyone on the dance floor then you should 100% hire James Arnold from 74 Events.
From the moment that we began planning our wedding and decided to work with 74 events, Gary (the owner of 74 Events) made the entire process seamless and stress-free. 74 Events was on our venue’s preferred vendor list. After our first conversation with Gary, we could see that he was extremely professional, organized, and responsive, which made us feel confident with selecting them for our wedding. We were very impressed with how quickly we heard back from Gary and how easy it was to get answers to our questions. We were also able to lean on Gary and James’ years of expertise when figuring out some final details for our wedding, which we greatly appreciated.
James did an absolutely impeccable job curating the music for the evening. He was able to work with our wide variety of musical tastes and list of favorite artists and effortlessly weaved them all in throughout the evening. James truly exceeded our expectations and we could not be any happier. There was something for everyone and the dance floor was packed. Everyone was raving about James!
Having the right music at a wedding is so important and James nailed it. He did an amazing job reading the crowd and all of the transitions between songs were flawless.

Working with Gary was wonderful - he was very professional, proactive and helpful. We always felt like we were in very good hands. We were paired with DJ Kahn.
We had several of our wedding guests throughout the wedding and the week after specifically compliment the music. Con did an amazing job throughout the night and got the exact vibes we wanted. His live mixing made it so special and cool. Our dance floor was FULL and our guests were totally jamming. He definitely understood the tone we wanted throughout different phases of the night from ceremony to the last song and he NAILED it. -

DJ experience beyond expectations
We had the pleasure of having Gary from 74Events set us up with DJ Rob at our wedding, and Rob absolutely blew our expectations out of the water! From the first beat to the last, Rob kept the energy high and the dance floor packed. His exceptional skills in live mixing and reading the room really set him apart. There were no premade playlists here; every track felt like it was chosen just for us and our guests based on the energy in the room and the response from the crowd. Also, he nailed the timing of every sequence and choreographed song (first dance, mother son, etc).
What truly amazed us was how Rob managed to keep everyone entertained from dining playlist to full dance party rager. His music selection was impeccable, seamlessly blending tracks we requested to surprises he added in a way that felt both fresh and familiar.
A special moment that stood out was when a group of my friends, who are usually non-stop dancers, actually took a break in the stairwell just to talk how fantastic DJ Rob was. They were genuinely impressed by his mixes and the way he kept the party alive.
Also, it's worth mentioning that Rob's towering presence added a unique charm to the event. "I'm the world's tallest DJ" was his claim. His height, combined with his understated charismatic personality, made him a standout figure behind the decks.
In summary, if you want a DJ who brings energy, expertise, and a personal touch to your event, Gary will set you up with someone like Rob and someone like Rob is the guy you want. He's not just a DJ; he's a true performer who will make your special day even more unforgettable. Thank you, DJ Rob, for making our wedding a night we will always cherish! -

Working with 74 Events was one of the best choices we made for our wedding day. Gary was easily the most organized and professional vendor we worked with and helped us iron out a lot of the different elements of our ceremony. Based on a short questionnaire we were matched up with DJ Con who not only did an exceptional job of incorporating our musical choices, but also made awesome choices based on the tastes and reactions of our attendees. Everyone in attendance commented what an awesome DJ we had and we could not agree more! -

From the very first phone call to the event itself (and even speaking with them afterwards), the folks at 74 Events were extremely professional and on top of every detail the entire way.
Music was the component of our wedding about which we both cared the most, and Gary was quick to demonstrate that this is a group that takes what they do very seriously, immediately putting us at ease knowing that we were in good hands. James reinforced that feeling not only on the call we had to discuss our playlist but also the day of the event, where he was attentive, upbeat, and extremely pleasant to work with.
It's no surprise that this group is among the best at what they do, and we could not recommend them enough. -

The Amazing Wedding Wizard!!
74 Events/Gary/The Wedding Wizard… went above and beyond to make sure all our music and audio needs were taken care of for our wedding!! Gary was super communicative and organized throughout the entire process, and his YEARS of experience came through from our very first call. There was never a doubt or worry in our minds while working with Gary to nail down the music for our event. He even sent over a video tutorial demonstrating proper microphone use when giving vows, speeches, and toasts throughout the night. We found that incredibly helpful. Gary went above and beyond every step of the way and I would recommend 74 Events and Gary for any event -- you’ll be in the best hands with the Wedding Wizard Gary!
