Perfect Beach Venue!
Booking the ZLAC Rowing Club was the easiest choice we had to make in planning our wedding! With the ceremony right on the beach and the spectacular bay views, the venue speaks for itself. The club has plenty of outdoor and indoor space to mingle and socialize including a small garden in the front with a koi pond, an uncovered patio with a bar and a covered porch overlooking the beach and bay. For the price, location and catering options, you will get no better! Susan, the venue manager, was incredibly easy to work with and very accommodating. She recommended vendors that she loved working with and that were in my budget, promptly answered all the questions I had about logistics and even came in on her day off to show the DJ around the venue so that he could test out the sound equipment. As a bride planning her wedding all the way from the East Coast, she was so helpful and just made planning that much easier. The ZLAC Rowing Club was essential in executing our dream wedding and we cannot thank them enough! We highly highly recommend them!Sent on 08/29/2019

When we first toured ZLAC as a prospective wedding venue, I knew it would be awesome. The bay there is so beautiful and calm and you can have the ceremony and reception in the same place. We did it on a Friday to save some money, which is a great value. You pay a little more to have the ceremony in the sand, but from our perspective, it was totally worth it.Sent on 10/06/2015
At first, I didn't like that our catering options had to be picked from a list of approved vendors. However, it actually turned out that was much easier to narrow down all the catering companies in San Diego. Encore Catering turned out to be amazing.
The venue manager Susan has it all figured out. For me, it was almost like having a wedding planner. She's held many events there, so nothing throws her. She made time - even when she was off - to show our DJ around. Her laid back personality took all the wedding detail jitters out of my mind. My husband and his friends got ready on site, and said that was really fun as well!
San Diego was unusually hot and humid the day of our wedding. We got hot on the dance floor, but it certainly didn't ruin our night. I wouldn't have changed anything about the venue!

The first time we walked into ZLAC we fell in love with it. The website doesn't quite do justice, so go see it for yourself. Susan, the property manager, was extremely accommodating, flexibly, and friendly. The same day that we saw ZLAC, we went to a major resort and were turned off. ZLAC allowed us to do pretty much whatever we wanted without all the rules and strict packages of the major resorts in SD. We had the ceremony right on the sand of mission bay, then into the ZLAC for everything else. The place has great character and is really cozy. All of our guests really liked it.Sent on 05/23/2016
