My husband and I got married at the George Peabody Library in Baltimore, MD and used the Wyndham Peabody Court Hotel for our Rehearsal Dinner space. We were in contact with Brittany Haydon in arranging our wedding block, rehearsal dinner, and next-day brunch. She was great to work with and very responsive to our needs for all three aspects of the wedding.Sent on 11/15/2013
Our rehearsal dinner had about 45 people so we were in the Wyndows North Banquet room on the rooftop level which has panoramic windows and beautiful views of Mt. Vernon. The other rooftop banquet room, Wyndows South, is very similar but for smaller parties. It was sunny just as we started the rehearsal dinner around 5:30pm, and everyone was so impressed with the view. Brittany had also arranged for us to have a tasting of our dinner entrees and everyone was happy with the food. We had the rockfish, surf and turf, and NY strip available. I’d say all three entrees were very good, but most people preferred the surf and turf (petit filet and crab cake).
While planning the rehearsal dinner and wedding block arrangements, we had to consult with Brittany about guest goody bags, dinner music, dinner selections, linens/ menus/ decorations, and billing. Brittany was a great resource and answered all of our questions via email or phone call in a timely manner. She also helped my mother-in-law arrange a next-day brunch.
The Wyndham Peabody Court Hotel is a great venue for your Rehearsal Dinner and wedding block if you are getting married in Baltimore. The Wyndows North room even has a small dance floor and would also be a great place to have a small, intimate wedding. I would recommend this space for anyone who wants good food and a spectacular city view.

Everything leading up to the wedding went well. We had a bit of a conundrum using Kleinfeld Hotel Blocks, which I do not recommend, and Wyndham really went out of their way to accommodate the mess working with Kleinfeld created, which we appreciated. They also offered us a great rate. Once we got past the contract signing, everything went smoothly up until the wedding. Brittany, who was fantastic throughout everything, was always in touch with updates.Sent on 07/22/2015
I had initially booked the Mt. Vernon suite, but the hotel was nice enough to upgrade us to the Presidential Suite since it was unoccupied the weekend of the wedding. We did have some issues with guests not being able to check-in, even well after the 4pm check-in time. There were also several issues with the valet. Guests would call down well ahead of time, but then arrive downstairs where the request had been misplaced or forgotten. While management and the front desk staff were fantastic, it really seems like they were understaffed when it came to housekeeping and valet.
The day of, the front desk and Brittany did a great job letting vendors up to our room, but we did have an issue with housekeeping. Unknown to us, the hotel had asked a housekeeper to stay an hour late to clean our room once we left for the wedding. When we opened the door to leave, she was standing outside and started complaining. My mom was amazingly polite, but the woman just lost it and started screaming at us. We could hear her floors away in our elevator ride down. The hotel was nice enough to refund one night of our stay and informed us the next day that she had been let go.
Overall, I was happy that we choose the Wyndham because of its proximity to our reception venue. To me, the issue with the housekeeper was worth the money we saved. However, I really wish our guests hadn’t had to deal with valet issues and late check-ins. I think the Wyndham really needs to hire more valet staff and housekeeping to keep up with events like this.
