Wiseacre is a wedding venue located in Norfolk, Virginia. This Mid-Century Modern estate comprises 4,000 square feet of space and combines elegance with playful charm to create events that are both fun and memorable. Over the past five years, Wiseacre has hosted numerous wedding ceremonies and receptions for 25–200 guests, in addition to corporate luncheons, business pow-wows, graduation and birthday parties, photo/video shoots, bachelorette parties, and more. With a creative, expansive and private space as well as indoor and outdoor options, the estate provides limitless possibilities for your event, rain or shine.
Facilities and Capacity
Wiseacre was built and designed for entertaining and can accommodate large and intimate groups. The ballroom-size great room includes 650 feet of space, 20-foot windows, and spectacular views of Lake Whitehurst. There is an adjoining dining room with a 10-foot table, a separate wet bar, a large all-season porch with an additional bar, and guest bathroom. Couples are welcome to utilize the sparkling new chef’s kitchen, with refrigerator, gas convection stove, and all the essentials. If you’d like to utilize the outdoor space at Wiseacre, there is a private two-acre backyard with panoramic lake views on three sides. A large concrete patio, which is ideal for dancing, is just off the porch, and there is a separate terrace off the dining room.

This wedding venue offers two guest bedrooms with queen beds, a shared full bath, a queen-size sleeper sofa in the great room, and other sleeping arrangements for additional guests. Depending on your needs and flexibility, Wiseacre can accommodate 14+ guests for "grown-up slumber parties," as the space is quite versatile.
